❤ you both had some sick and very stylish gouging roundhouse top turns. it was fun to watch in particular the arm styles and differences, and how they were integral in the momentum, stability, and control of the turns, as well as general aesthetics and fluidity, especially as the waves were breaking similarly, and the lines drawn and surfed were so similar. :)

Haleiwa is such an intriguing wave when it’s big... it’s not perfect, it’s chunky, section-y, massive current and sweeping/pushing back into the pocket & breaking part of the wave... but Wow does it make for some entertaining surfing when it’s big and Guys are owning it like this! 🤙🏼👌🏼

I'm so creeped out about haleiwa after watching some videos this winter talking about how hard it is to wire that lineup. Some of these waves are head high walls but some are double overhead, in cali we call that 6-12 feet (haha), but this is probably hawaiin 3-4 occasional 5
