Such a great video! You go into such depth and detail to show every aspect and feature of this car! Aesthetics, functions, & performance 👌🏾 I didn’t know technology like that was in cars like these! Futuristic and sporty. As for color; I’d go with all white (possibly pearl) and black details with darker window tint.
Today I saw a 2019 zl1 5 miles on brand-new same color in FLA on CarGurus for about 47k. Couldn't believe it almost 17k off sticker. I just not ready to buy and don't like the red.
I shouldn’t have said that the 2016 was the same as the 2014, I meant to say that they’re the same generation and that the 2019 is when they changed the taillights again
Automatic transmission on such a high performance vehicle is a complete waste of an otherwise superb car. There is no point in owning something like this vehicle without a clutch pedal and a manual transmission. One might as well get an electric self driving vehicle otherwise... do you want to be driven, or do you want to DRIVE?
UNIX admin I see what you mean. This car shifts like an arcade video game. It’s so instant that it doesn’t seem real. But the performance benefits of that are impressive and necessary when it comes to competing on the track. I just think that it detaches the driver from how much power the car has. You don’t have to be as careful if the transmission distributes 650hp so smoothly. So perhaps that’s bad because people don’t have to know how to properly drive to drive this. But the reason this is so special in my opinion is that it shows you can have a transmission with a torque converter for stop and go smoothness AND one that upshifts faster than a dual clutch. That’s a big deal and could be great for a lot of applications. In this particular application, with the camaro being more than a muscle car and more of a track car these days, a manual transmission would take away from its capability. But they should always give that choice to the driver.
UNIX admin I heard that they went back in the automatic and beat the time again. But that’s interesting that it is so close with the manual. He can keep it in the right RPM as Necessary in the right line to get a better time. Hmm... idk. Computers just make people less good at stuff. Randy Pobst is awesome
@@AutoN8GT yes he is, truly awesome race driver with lots of experience. I'm going to sign up for private racing lessons with him. Did you hear him giggling while driving the manual? The man is a legend.
Tell me: do you like that color or not? I don’t think I could live with it every day
dark gray.
LuvKills Slowly that would be the color to get
Love the color.
Too much red or orange on it needs a black hood or something
I'm a Ford guy buy next year I think I'm gonna pull the trigger on one of these. These zl1 are beautiful

CosmicCandies that would look really good. I saw a white one like that. Thank you so much for the feedback!
I Love the TailLights
Teeqo me too!
I do like the look of the car though 👌🏾
The automatic is faster than any manual shifter can shift. You have to shift like a boss just to keep up with the automatic.
James O'Brien so true
Very nice car and great review
Sebastian Blacutt thank you!
You cute. Red isn’t my favorite color, but I’m sure someone without that bias would really appreciate the color!
Ijere Onunaku it’s red orange and it looks great on other peoples car

George Poseidon It was awesome to drive. Glad you like yours!

Actually it 2016 and 2014 are so different... That's a 2016 not a 2014 from the previous style.
Vinny Bruce true. I was referring to the 6th gen which came out in 2014. I’m sure there were changes between the two years

Fyi the c7 Corvette z06 has the same supercharged engine
So all ZL1s have avoided the new ugly Camaro Face.

who the hell want to be shifting gears all damn day when you can get the 10 speed auto which is faster then the manual.
kendel williams it IS faster shifting. No denying that
