Thanks for watching! If you're looking for something a little bit cheaper here's another option for you: ua-cam.com/video/MKnlb1xQPo8/v-deo.html&t
Can you plug it in consoles?
I have a ps5 I want to get a monitor, is this a good option?
What kind of gpu and power supply do you recommend for this I just started to build my pc wanted to get the right stuff
Finally someone who understands I don’t $500 for a tiny version of my tv!
Lol I got you
5:08 "my much more expensive Asus monitor"
Subtle flex but okay
I fail to see how that's a flex.
Just brought this monitor to link up with the PS5 I've brought for my sons Christmas present 🎁
Good dad! Respect
holy shit
Nice 👍
How is it with ps5. Im thinking of buying this.
Got one of these being delivered in the next couple days. God am i excited to finally step up to 1440p after being on a 1080p now i've built the new RTX 30 series rig :D
I just got one of these, it's definitely alot better than my 4 year old QLED. I have to say tho' that the rear LED's do throw some light onto the wall behind the monitor (a white wall in my case) it's not particularly bright but it's noticeable in my dim VA friendly room. The monitor is great with great colour uniformity, better than any other monitor I've seen to be honest. On mine the backlight bleed shows up a little on pure black screens but thankfully nowhere else. It's nice to have a little extra in terms of refresh rate but I think personally that 1440p is overrated for gaming, and I'm not sure if it's worth the performance hit.(albeit a small one in most games) great video thanks. No ghosting and a decent response time.
Hey bro always love your no bs reviews. 1440p 165hz is beyond my rig but nice to know the prices on displays are creeping down from total insanity lol
Totally agree!
My hopes of this thing being actually cheap died when I saw the msi logo
Never said it was cheap
It's 170 pounds on Amazon rn
400 dollers is not bad for a 165hz, 1440p, 1ms milliseconds monitor
@@user-my6pt2cj4t damn that’s pretty heavy
@Honcho555 currency seems pretty heavy

Zach's Tech Turf I bough my entire gaming pc with 144hz monitor for 450usd lol
@@kennyplayer7731 1440p?
Tazboy for 144hz nope.
KennyPlayer you better drop them specs 👀
I have the non-curved version of this monitor and I agree with Zach, it's amazing and I couldn't be happier.
Didn't know they made this in a non curved edition!
@@ZachsTechTurf www.msi.com/Monitor/Optix-MAG272QR it's usually a little cheaper than your model
Who else hates how UA-cam moved the comments on mobile? I don't know. Maybe it will be a good thing over time. Since it is closer to the top.
Oh, and yeah, great video Zach!
Feel free to vent here lol. Thanks!
Damn Zach watching old videos you’ve lost weight and sound a lot healthier in general sorry if this is rude I didn’t mean it to be I just love watching the growth
What about the AOC CQ27G2U? It is 27“, 1440p, 144hz and only 360 USD
Lol I bought this model but the 1080p today it was supposed to be delivered but got canceled. So tomorrow I'll be getting this monitor :)
Deliveries are all jacked up right now 😢
@@ZachsTechTurf Bro, are you using Fast or Fastest Response Time?
I think I'll need to add one of these to my Monitor set up in the near future! Great video as always Zach!
Mike. Thanks.
Just picked up 2 of these at $360 each. The upgrade from 2 720p monitors plus an upgrade from my gtx1060 to a Rtx3080 should be nice
I was literally looking online researching to buy a new gaming monitor and your video notification popped up. You read my mind lol :)
Perfect timing! Let me know what you go with.
Zach's Tech Turf will do 😊
I just want to say thank you. Monitor reviews have been giving me migraines. I trust you and I'm gonna order this right now 👍🏾😘
is it good?
I got a Samsung 24' 1080p 75hz monitor for my Dell Optiplex.
That's a good combo for an Optiplex!
great review, covered everything even the power plug. subbed
Love the forza gameplay in the beginning LMAO (hey Zach, it’s vader :)
Gotta rock the Forza gameplay
Soon as he says "MSI"
My pockets: *BURSTS INTO FLAMES*
where are u located? I ordered mine for 411$CAD it’s a pretty good price. 165hz & 31.5 inch I got it on best buy, it’s on sale rn :)
Great review Zach. That MSI monitor is definitely on my radar. I just hope you didn't pass up a chance to reviews/get that new LG 27" 240hz IPS 1MS monitor that A LOT of channels did reviews on recently.
No contact with LG yet 😢
I am the fourth person to drop a like on this video. btw yesterdays stream was great i will definelty watch your next streams. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for watching them!
This video was helpful cuz I’m getting into pc gaming and my pc is gonna have good specs and I need a good monitor so thanks 😃
0:25 that wallpaper is so sick.... How do i get that wallpaper
Thanks for the review zach. Getting mine the 10th 😁
Bought this myself a couple months ago, absolutely love it. 10/10
How is the picture qualityy
@@yz4226 I love it. Everything looks fantastic.
Can you make a gaming video about making a gaming setup for only 50 Dallas plz
That's most likely impossible
@@ZachsTechTurf please do it you did $100 you might can do a 50 Dallas gaming setup
Hey bro this is probably the best review I’ve seen on monitors so firstly you deserve a like and secondly is it $400 in Australia or UK
Really need to know my bro
Top video. Just bought the monitor. Can't wait to set it up and use it.
How is the MSI monitor? . I'm looking for one and find it all an headache to be honest, this one has caught my interest.
@@venataciamoon2789 agreed same situation here stuck between this and a slightly less impressive looking LG but I've never had a monitor before so don't know if i trust lg more when the colours and impressive image quality are what matter the most to me
@@yenmusic56 I bought the MSI monitor in the end, took the leap. Been happy with it so far, though iv only played Ark and Subnautica on it. The curve screen really suits me which was a concern of mine but it's really great. I tried downloading MSI driver for the monitor but it isn't working so I'm using the monitor without it.
Can you make a gaming setup with the hp omni 100-5050
damn $400 way out of most people's budget when we talk "bang for buck"
bang for buck isn't the same thing as "budget/cheap".
@@itsneight1260 Truth
Zach's Tech Turf u should try and help everyone not just those who have money
@@itsneight1260 it does imply your getting something way better than the rest of the competition at this price range, and in this case it just seems to be a marginal difference. I guess I was expecting something like this:
www.amazon.com/dp/B07KGMQGDT/?tag=bhale777-20
144hz+, 1080p 1ms response time. Sounds good enough for the price ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@nashbueno rip it dont ship to canada. Been looking for a decent 144hz 1440p monitor for about a month because i want my monitor to use the full potential of the ps5 so i hope i can find a decent one by december, if i dont and it ships to canada i will definitely check out the monitor you suggested thanks.
Nice this video
Thanks for watching 😁
@@ZachsTechTurf you're welcome bro
Great monitor and great review..
Thanks for watching!
@@ZachsTechTurf Your content is so awesome and I really enjoy it.. God bless you bro
Well now I know what I’m saving for next!!
Fanboy checking in
I feel like the comparison with a 60 hz monitor is less relevant than 165 vs 244 or even 280hz. There are monitors around the same prise with higher refreshrates at 1080p. So what would you reccomend for fast paced shooters?
The music in the beginning was great as so was the video, great review.
Thanks as always man.
@@ZachsTechTurf always bro. Did you see on Discord what happened to my PC?
Great review!
Thanks for making videos, are you ever going back to your OG haircut, i miss it
If I can find someone to do it.
That would be lg 24gl600f... Its less than $200 and has beautiful colors despite being fast tn panel and has freesync 1ms.. 144hz.. 24inch...1080p...and great software to control cool ass modes.
That's the best bang for your buck
Can't really compare a 1080p to 1440p monitor in terms of value. You're either looking for 1440p or 1080p
Flat panel version is $350. Got it back in January and love it!
How's the black uniformity/lightbleed on the flat panel version?
Who’s here after asking there mom for half of there stimulus 🤣🤣
😐
Acer Acer SB220Q bi 21.5" Full HD (1920 x 1080) IPS Ultra-Thin Zero Frame Monitor (HDMI & VGA Port) & AmazonBasics High-Speed 4K is no longer available for $89.99 and the current price is 179.99$ plus shipping at the lowest costs. Prime is no longer offered on the cheapest price it is number two on the list.
That's only temporary during these weird times. I'm sure it'll be back.
Hi Zach! Days ago I was watching one of your vids and I remember you said something about an app that lets you update Windows10(it was an example btw) from anywhere in the world. Please help me
Are you 100% certain an Nvidia graphics card will work well with this monitor? I’m in the market for a monitor and currently putting a build together. Buying the right monitor has been pretty difficult
You can find, pixio 1440p 165hz ips 27inches 1ms freesync for 460 dollars
That's more money then this one...
@@ZachsTechTurf I agree, I'm just a sucker for ips panels
I need one of them in my life lol
They are great! As you can tell lol...
You can also use the xbox series x ?
Boi let's wait for the price of this monitor to sky rocket after this video.
already 400
My videos do not affect prices
@@ZachsTechTurf Of course lol, but you know what happened last time.
Zach's Tech Turf just kidding 😅
@@ZachsTechTurf yeah because you're irrelevant
I wish I could afford this
Could anyone tell me how good this monitor actually is, cause people iv seen in reviews are complaining about ghosting, but is it that bad when playing games or editing? Cause thats all i will do most of the time with this monitor.
Just wondering. what kinda specs are we looking at for a Gaming Laptop (with gtx and ryzen that is already hooked to an FHD 75hz monitor) to run this monitor at least 144hz and not overheating the living daylight out of the laptop. I am using a Asus Tuf A15
interesting option to consider
can you do a 1080p one cause i dont want to play at 1440p
the 1080p version of this monitor is about $279 and still does a fantastic job. www.newegg.com/p/N82E16824475046

I doubt you can tell between 144 and 165. Prob just less input lag on that monitor. I bet if you set that monitor to 144 you won't tell a different. Also you're coming from the mg279q which is the worst 144hz 1440p monitor. It only has a freesync range of 35-90hz which is probably the main different you felt. The smoothness of actually being in freesync range on the new monitor. Was so glad when I got rid of my mg279q. 144hz with a freesync range peaking at 90hz is just stupid.
I have a slightly worse version of this monitor but i dunno what to think about it yet as i got it recently.
I just bought this thing like 4hrs before this review, waiting for it to get friday. Upgrading from my 1080p asus.
Wow crazy timing. Let me know what you think of it.

Hey Zach, is there anything in the same range with a flat panel? Don't like the curve.

Hello is this monitor too big for you? becuese i got this monitor for chrstmasand its a liitle big for me buceuse i have 24inch monitor is the accustomed to size?
Just ordered if :)
How do you like it?
How is a DP 1.2 gonna keep up with 1440p 165 hz? It cant, especially not at 10 bit
MSI MAg271CQR is literally the same for 330-350€ in my country. Only Difference is that it has 144Hz
Hp omen 27" 1440p 165hz gsync i got for 250 on walmart clearance , now 300-350 on all tech sites...this is definitely NOT the best deal at all
Ngl I'm building my first ever set, and really overwhelmed lol. Hopping someone could help me? Or walk me through it?
Can you use this Monitor with a crappy graphics card?
Why not?
How well is the black uniformity?
Question: does the Monitor have to be dual or can it go by it self
The best cheap monitor out there is the AOC GAMING 24G2U
The G2 version is impossible to find in the US right now. I wanna get my hands on it!
Let's have a look? what happened to 'lets get into it' - that threw me off more than it should've haha
Gotta keep you all on your toes.
do they have a non curved version of that? really kills it for me :(
Someone in the comment section says that they have one so maybe, haven't confirmed.
They do! It's the MSI Optix MAG272QR
Does this have built in speakers if so how good are they???
Negative, no speakers on this one.
doesn’t have speakers
Nice!
Almost first. Thanks.
Great video, maybe some heads up in admin so I can be first next time. Thanks.
Im trying to to buy this but I cant find it anywhere not even amazon has it to buy
This monitor costs more than my gaming PC
Mine too
1:08 thats what she said ;)
Umm what?
Would you recommend this still I am on Xbox one x
I'm guessing this monitor wouldn't be a suitable choice for strictly console when the next gen comes around since this seems more compatible with PC software
The current consoles Xbox One and PS4 cap at 60hz refresh rate but the Xbox series X and the PS5 have been confirmed of supporting 120hz refresh rate so I think it’ll work fine with this monitor. Just I’m sure it’ll require a DisplayPort cables but I don’t think that’s possible with consoles? The connection type will be the issue unless it’ll be addressed on how 120hz will be obtained on console. HDMI no matter the cable will always cap at 60hz just fyi.
@@BboyIllusi0n New Xbox update allows 120hz & 1440p for games on Xbox one s or newer
What’s the difference between the MAG272CR and MAG272CQR?
One is 1080p and the other is 1440p
Could i use this for a ps5
title :The Best Gaming Monitor Under $400

Would i be able to use nvidia gpu's on this?
at 3.00 what game is that because it looks quite fun
Call of duty modern warfare multiplayer
Does this work well with ps5?
Does it come with an hdmi 1 or hdmi 2 display port ?
do you think the rtx 3060 can run this ...
Link for it?
Any BLB on this monitor ? Im looking for something great to change my TN lg24gm77b
Sorry I should have shown that on camera. I have no crazy BLB issues on my monitor at all. It would certainly be an upgrade from that one.
Yeah try and hook it up to a dual monitor system, good luck
If I wasn't a starving student I would buy a cheap pc for CAD/CAM, but it's either pay my uni rent or get kicked
Sorry to hear that :(
I had the 144Hz version of this monitor and the only problem that I had was that the monitor stand took up to much space.
You know that's not really something that I considered during my review but it'll definitely affect someone with a narrow desk.
Wait did you not turn off motion blur on CoD?
