You had the same feel than me. This year i update my bow. I dont knew if go for the ethos or evolve but after shooting both i notice the elite hasnt the old silky draw cycle of other elite bows. This year looking for speed they are stiffer. No harsh but stiffer than pse. Too i dont know the reason but im more accurate with evolve 33. At last i bought the evolve ds. Tuning was a joke bullet hole firts shot. EZ.220 shim wasnt needed. Great video👍
I did the same testing to get my first bow this year. I found the same as you other then a little hand shock on the ds. The tech adjusted the elite to 80 percent let off and had me pull it and my word it was night and day. Valley is gone and smoothed out. I left with the elite ethos when I went in thinking of getting a Hoyt
Thank you for the transparent review. I think Elite has a "smooth" mod. This could make it more comfortable, but must be purchased separately I believe
So weird thing, this weekend I needed to setup a bow for a massive bucket list hunt coming in a months time. The shop suggested I use the Elite because it won on this video. I set it up and you won’t believe it🤣 I vouch that it is the smoothest and quietest bow I’ve ever shot. So maybe it was just the day or something 🙈
@Bluesplayer789 100% super impressed with the Ethos so far. I’m going after a Kudu or Waterbuck Bull so we going to make sure this Ethos is squared away 🙏🏼
What cams were on the bows? Doesn't that matter. I know the PSE has different cam options that change speed, feel, etc. Is that true for the other bows as well? Seems like a noteworthy metric.
Very very true🙏🏼 will keep it in mind for our next bow battle thank you for that 🙏🏼🔥 Sorry for taking so long to reply, I took a week break to catch a breathe and now we back 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I don't really think that weight should be a key metric in purchasing a bow. I would only ever be concerned about the weight if a lighter bow shot just as well with the same amount of stabilizer weights as a heavier bow. However I think in general you usually end up adding more stabilizer weights to the lighter bow and the package weight ends up pretty close.
A lot of mixed emotions myself watching this video. Nothing was scripted, just some light topics we must touch on. I love all three and I’m busy setting up an Elite Ethos for a bucket list hunt to get more familiar with the brand. We learn and we better prepare for the next one🙏🏼
We decided after filming this that my next survival hunt will be with this bow, so we gonna put it to the test. But so far last few days of setting it up and getting in. It’s amazing
You won’t believe it but I’m busy building out an elite Ethos out now for a bucket list hunt. I wish I could amend this video because it is by far the smoothest and quietest bow I’ve shot. I don’t know if I was tired on the day or what it was but it’s pretty great 💪🏼
It may not be your taste as things don't look aligned, but moving the rest is definitely a viable method. Just because it isn't yours doesn't mean it's wrong.
I know that moving the rest works. I also know that it is not the way the bow is designed, but it is effective but I think the first opportunity you get to get the bow back in center, shot or as close to it as you can. That is the proper way too toon a bow. Shim the camp then make minor adjustments to your rest. Your site's everything will work better.
@@Graygoatoutdoors111 really not actually. Only recently manufacturers started to cater to moving the cam. Not so long ago there weren't even OEM shim kits. It's all about getting the power stroke in line with the arrow, nothing more, nothing less.

100% I’m currently sitting in the bush eating breakfast with the Ethos in hand.
I’m obsessed with this bow🤣
Nice comparison, not sure if its just me but difference in sound with the hoyt going from 441gn to the higher 505gn was quite noticeable
As in quieter?
I didn’t, I’m going to go back and watch that 🙏🏼💪🏼💪🏼
@gandalf2256 yeh
@@outdoorswithtravis I could be wrong but seemed noticeable to me
The PSE should earn another point for tuneability since the EZ-220 spacers can be changed without axle removal.

@@outdoorswithtravis sweet! Win-win you get to keep the speed and save on the optional module 🤙

My omnia is my first elite and I love it, that grip just agrees with me. My only concern is how thin the cams are

Did you mention your draw length?
27.5 | could’ve of sworn it was in there but very possible I edited out by mistake 👎🏼
Observations: Elite sounded the quietest. Elite does not have IMS or Picatinny Mount.

@@outdoorswithtravis Did you stay with original module or switch out to the smooth mod?
I haven’t changed a thing, I’ll have to have a look
whats your draw length?
I’m 27.5 inches
Change the let off on the ethos and the dump goes away. Also the smooth mods make it easier to pull than my Ss34.
100% just spent the last three weeks diving into everything on and about the bow, and now I’m obsessed 🤣
Wich store is that
And i wrote you on whatsapp on the second hand bows do you have any
Keep up the work👍👍👍👍👍

I'm sorry, but you only move. The rest as a last resort, very minor movement.

Depends on the time you have as well as the equipment (bow press and etc)

You always want to move the cam. Before you move your rest out of cs.
