Did he use finasteride or without medication? Because I am thinking about getting mine done as well, I just do not wish to take medication forever.
We suggest to use finasteride and minoxidil to our patients at least for 12 months. After 12 months you should consult to your doctor to continue or not:)
If you stop medication you will continue to lose the hair that's not transplanted. You can quit minoxidil I suppose, but quitting finasteride is a death sentence for your hair, even after a transplant.

Getting result changes person to person. Sometimes we see great hair growth even in 4 months but sometimes it takes at least 9 months to get result. Yes, in 2 months, patients have shock loss process but it's not permanent.
He used finasteride and minoxidil but these products are not for transplanted hair. They are for keeping your existing hair safe and strong.
