@@scotttrail522 no not at all. It would have shown how a good hunter claimed his pray and it would have been good to show the prossing and care of meat. Which would have been a good life lesson to anyone that eats meat.
Hector from Coco should have gotten a spot. His death caused three generations of Riveras to turn their backs on music (much like King Triton.) What really seals the deal is that Imelda thought Hector abandoned them. She didn't know he was dead until Miguel showed up in the land of the dead.
It wasn't really death, he only died because Ernesto betrayed him by killing him. And in the land of the dead he didn't really die but was fading and almost forgotten by his own daughter, it's still hard for me to watch him getting weaker and almost being forgotten and dying but your right it should have been in the list
Hell yeah. I can see how he might have been forgotten since he is so prominent and “alive” through the movie but his death was the huge inciting incident for the dang movie

@Retsuko Fanatic123 yeah, I have to admit. Out of all the princess mother's deaths, I can't help but feel sorry for Ariel losing her mother. Athena was indeed well liked by all. She looked just like her daughter, Ariel. That's why Triton is so protective of her the most, because she resembles his late wife and doesn't want the same thing to happen to her just like what had happened to her mother
Honestly, I think Hector should've been mentioned on this list.(And yes, he did say he was counting Pixar characters.) But overall, I did enjoy this video.Keep up the good work!😥👍
Héctor for sure, but I'm not sure about Coco. Of course death is sad, but not as much when the person lived a long and mostly happy life. Aside from her father's death, Coco seemed to have a great life. She married a good man, had two daughters who loved her dearly, and died at an old age to be reunited with the rest of her family. Maybe I'm missing something here, but I wasn't as sad about Coco's death as I was with the other Disney tragedies.
@@scotttrail522 it wasn’t breaking her neck that killed her. i don’t think she even broke her neck. she hit her head on the pointy part of the stairs and it cracked her skull open. there was even blood on the stairs. u can realistically die that way.
Not a death, but Dumbo's mother getting locked up in elephant jail destroys me everytime. That's almost worse actually, because we actually see her trying to comfort Dumbo, whereas death happens offscreen in Disney.
What hurts most about Mufasa’s death is that it was his own brother who killed him. Shows that even family members can turn on each other and commit atrocities towards one another, be it in murder, abuse, implanting blame and insecurities, neglect, or manipulation with lies and making themselves the only person one can rely on.
Additionally, the trauma of losing his father in such a way caused Simba to be an overprotective parent. The sequels are extremely underrated, and the second film does a really good job of showing how the pain doesn't just go away now that Simba's returned and taken his place as king. I'm surprised this wasn't mentioned in the video, but as I said, the sequels are underrated. I wish people talked about them more.
That fact that James had a distinguished service cross in WWI shows that he must’ve done something very brave that saved lives, as during the world wars segregation and bigotry were rampant. For an African American soldier to receive such a high honor in WWI shows that he did something that was above and beyond the call of duty that made his officers look past the segregation and give him the acknowledgment and honors he deserved.
I think the most cruel death was quasimodo's mother because she was trying to protect but Frollo just killed without a second thought and just so mercilessly killed her, though it did comeback at Frollo because he would be damned for that.
11:24 I can't believe it took me this long to realize, but isn't it a bit strange that two dark skinned and black haired Romani people lead to the birth of a pale, red haired and green eyed Quasimodo?
In the original story he was adopted by Frollo and I don't think Quasimodo was Romani. They may have been going for him being adopted by the Romani. So Quasimodo would have been adopted twice in this version.
this is why i prefer the playhouse musical’s take on the story - where quasi is frollo’s nephew and his deformity is blamed on jehan (frollo’s brother) and his gypsy wife florika being struck with the pox during the pregnancy
There was no proof either of the men on the boat were Quasimodo’s dad his father could’ve been a Frenchman. Keeping him inside for years could affect his skin tone and red hair’s a recessive trait so it’s rare for most anyone to get it if they don’t have two red haired parents.
Imagine being torn by the death of your mother or father or even both and then this guy is like “yeah you were sad about it but your father didn’t die tragically so we’re not putting your father any higher”
I agree with Mufasa’s death being the most tragic and heartbreaking. Simba would be scarred after watching his uncle betray him and killing his dad by throwing him down to the wildebeests while they trampled him. Then putting the blame on them made him even more depressed and sad. Then he returns home after his dad’s ghost encourages him to. His so called uncle before he’s about to kill him, reveals the truth that he did it. In the end, Scar deserved to be eaten alive by the hyenas while burning. Killing off a family member just so you can seize control of the throne is heartless.
What always got me was that on a level, Mufasa really did care about his whole family including his younger brother. Only to have his brother murder him. Mufasa might have made it even without Scar's help if Scar hadn't thrown him off the cliff
Ahhhh Flora Disney, the reason why so many Disney characters are parentless. Disney expressed his guilt and grief over his mothers death. it is obvious mufasa is number one because of how he got killed by his own brother and because he was trampled by wildebeast and simba had to discover his dead body with him trying to get mufasa up but he is dead
I also think Mufasa is the saddest/brutal death too, but for not just the reasons he pointed out, but another reason was when Scar was seen playing with a skull in the cave. That skull was a lion skull, and it is fact that lions do eat their own kind after they died. Meaning......Scar could have eaten his own brother's dead body!!!
Not so fun fact: A theory says that Gaston had killed Bambi’s mother, as her head exactly is shown in the tavern during the verse of his song, stating, “ _I use antlers in all of my decorating_ “
In the original "Big Hero 6" comics, Tadashi Hamada was Hiro's father instead of his brother. Aunt Cass was Hiro's mom as well. In the Disney version, Tadashi (now the brother) is killed in a fire caused by Callaghan (Yokai).
Not to mention that Simba is shown to suffer from flashbacks of his father's death in the second movie leading him to be overprotective and to distrust Kovu as he reminds him of Scar
Fact: James from the Princess and the Frog was likely serving with the French. The French had a division of all Black American soldiers called the Harlem Hellfighters. These were black Americans who wanted to fight overseas but were not allowed to do so because of the Jim Crow laws that were in place. The Harlem Hellfighters were founded before America Joined the war. The men of the Harlem Hellfighters were brave individuals, they fought ferociously and bravely. On one occasion, 2 members of the Harlem Hellfighters fought off more than 100 German soldiers, which gave the French enough time to launch a counter attack. Both men received the highest honor in France, The Legion of Honor.

I think the one thing that makes the death of Quasimodo's mother so cruel and heartbreaking is that she died thinking that her son would be killed as well. She was so desperate when she cried for sanctuary and her last moments alive consist of seeing the man that's about to kill her snatch her baby from her. That alone makes it the saddest death in my book, cause seeing your child being taken from you right before you die has to be the most soul crushing experience for a mother.
Mufasa's death is definitely the saddest Disney parent death. And I know this isn't Disney but his death reminded me so much of Littlefoot's mum's death. And the saddest thing is that Littlefoot's mum died protecting him then he watched her die in front of him...she was so close he could hear her whispers basically saying that he will have to be strong without her and see her take her last breath. 😭

Protagonist parent deaths are super sad 😢 I cry 😭
I saw it coming and damn...
Poor Athena.. And Mufasa.
But i-
DO IT AGAIN 😂
Edit: (spoilers ahead)
Yeah i think everyone knew mufasa would take gold
I will always remember Simba's quiet "Help" after crying for help. That part will never not make me cry 😢
12:04 Leopard. Jaguars are in South America . . .
Agreed
Not so fun fact: A theory says that Gaston had killed Bambi’s mother, as her head exactly is shown in the tavern during the verse of his song, stating, “ _I use antlers in all of my decorating_ “
Babe & Babe: Pig in the City Characters: Good to Evil 🐖
Pure: The Singing Mice

In the original "Big Hero 6" comics, Tadashi Hamada was Hiro's father instead of his brother. Aunt Cass was Hiro's mom as well. In the Disney version, Tadashi (now the brother) is killed in a fire caused by Callaghan (Yokai).
Not to mention that Simba is shown to suffer from flashbacks of his father's death in the second movie leading him to be overprotective and to distrust Kovu as he reminds him of Scar
Disney Deaths In General: Sad to Saddest.
Or "Deserved to that one that depresses"
(If it is general it can include villains and they deserve.
Mufasa and Athena's death is the most saddest! 14:39 Athena Silver 16:00 Mufasa Gold
What was the music that plays at 14:41 to the end?
I….didn’t know that.😎🤔
Mufasa's death is the most saddest and most heartbreaking death in Disney history.
I was expecting Frollo to be at the very bottom, being an adoptive father whose death wasn't even slightly sad or tragic
I laughed, but this seems to only count biological parents.
Also, Mother Gothel would have to share that slot with him.
I also agree with this list too. It makes me think of my mom who sadly passed away in 2016 at the age of 67 of a brain stroke.
you should have included Todd's mother's death from the Hound and the Fox (kind of similar to Bambi's mother's death)
Disney characters: *Have parents*
Disney: Your life has expired, goodbye
Sabor is clearly a leopard. Besides, jaguars are native to South America.
Me: Mum can I play Call of Duty
Mum: No your to young watch Disney.
Disney:
Saddest and most gruesome parennt death: Littlefoot's mother in land before time. It's sadder than simbas because she was dying in front of littlefoot when simba didn't with Mufasa, She was killed by Shartooth, the t-rex and it's just such a sad moment that even littlefoot gets scared for a very long time after her death... I can't think of a sadder parent death than that.
I agree with that. Land before time is one of my favorite animated movies.
What's the name of the movie?
Hi, you make great videos
Simba's dad was the most saddest death
His name is mufasa
@@elichernykh6181 thank you but I know that
@@TheGoats1071 ok
In the lion king 1 and a half shows that Timon frend *i can’t spell his name* killed mufasa by his horns mufasa fell on his horns
Disney and Pixar teamed up a lot of times since most of their characters are also Disney characters so it made sense why you also included Pixar parents on this list.
I’ve never actually cried at any of these parent deaths. The only Disney death that made me cry was Tadashi, Hiro’s older brother in Big Hero 6
Aladdin: Mom! Mom! Great news!
Aladdin's mom: What is that, dear?
Aladdin: Disney's gonna make a movie about me! No more poverty!
Aladdin's mom: I love you Aladdin.
*Aladdin's mom was killed by plot convenience*
Aladdin: MOMMY!

“And for the golden medal of sadest deaths in Disney movies, we have our childhoods
Where’s Hector on this list? The whole movie was because of his death and it’s tragic! :(
Simba’s father death made me cry when I was a kid, Imagine falling 16 feet and than having every bone in your body being crouched by a raging herd
Sabor is not a jaguar, he’s a leopard. Jaguars live in South America.
And cheetahs or leopard live in Africa.
Exactly, Sabor was a Rogue Leopard.
THANK YOU
I noticed this and was hoping someone would point it out
Sabor is a she.
Parents: *exists*

James didn't have the best luck, but he had what he needed; he had love. That's why we don't grieve for him as much, but I sure as heck respect him.

I love this could you do dreamworks
Right I'm not going to cry.
Video ends.
Me ( 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭....I snapped on a lego ya thats it ).
Respect and keep up the epic work.
6:08 the way he said bambi mother and the transition and the picture kinda scares me
What do you think the thumbnail of Animaniacs good to evil would look like?
Simba's dad and Bambi's mother hit me the most when I was a kid because it was so sad to watch them go from their kids life so quick. Lilo and Stich was like dam that a sad tragic losing your parents together. Characters I see die near the start of the film dont hit me as much like Neo mum or Tiana dad was like meh feeling dont feel the sadness like I did with simbas dad or bambis mum.

I found a theory that Ariels Mother is that red headed mermaid in Peter pan
Mufasa's death is definitely the saddest Disney parent death. And I know this isn't Disney but his death reminded me so much of Littlefoot's mum's death. And the saddest thing is that Littlefoot's mum died protecting him then he watched her die in front of him...she was so close he could hear her whispers basically saying that he will have to be strong without her and see her take her last breath. 😭
