A result of colour grading in here is pretty close. One thing you missed (conscious or not) is that Garett barely uses blue skies so in here it only lacks to desaturate of a sky :) However, it's a good video, man!

Serious question: Can someone explain me, why you should increase the blues first just to desaturate them later? Is there a special reason?

I love Garret’s editing style! It’s very unique!
I like this video. Maybe a bit rushed but I really like the possibility to see the effects in several photos. That helps a lot when learning more about Lightroom.

You know why this is BS? try doing his style with portraits like his. Not possible. And I think he uses Photoshop which focuses on colors and emphasis them more than Lightroom can do. So I think its not possible to edit like him in Lightroom.
you can do color grading in LR, this is not BS. I think your comment was very rude
@@eksine Its the reality! Making BS videos for the sake of "growing channel" is just bad in my opinion. A lot of youtubers do that these days. Its a false claim when you say edit like "such and such." If this was tilted as in "edit moody/gold/blue tones..etc" would be very reasonable and worth the thumbs up. It is false information. I dare you to use this editing with people in the photo and several different environments. If you listened to Shortstache himself, he say that he uses Photoshop in one of the podcasts he was doing.

Garret: "I just use lightroom now, but sometimes I have to use both depending sometimes I have to use both to really achieve the look that I had set in mind, but for the most part its lightroom, I'm just using the same tool everybody does" - October 2017.
