      @@Rahul-y6o8o Hey, you can but you have to be very mindful of the games you'll be able to play. 2D non-graphically demanding Android games will be playable, maybe some lite 3D too and some emulation and from as well up to approximately PS1 and N64 (some titles).
      All in all, it's a trial and error kind of approach but as long as you're not picky, yes, you'll always find something to play locally and natively on the ABXYLUTE.

  • @GameTechTalk

    Note: If you wish to use the abxylute with a more traditional Android interface (which will also allow multiple apps at once), it can be done by switching it to "tablet mode" in the settings.

      Glad you liked that aspect, I'll keep it a thing to redo in the future. In case you care, it was 4-5 frames delay on a 60fps feed. It's probably too much for competitive play but leisure? It's definitely more than fine.

      I'm sure if there ever was a study, there would be a logical reason as to why some like asymmetrical and others symmetrical. And if I'd put my money on something, it's how different people use different brain hemispheres. With that said, the asymmetrical definitely seems to have the upper hand on the general market. 🙁 I learned to appreciate both but I get how that bothers you, hopefully more companies will as well.

    Nice review but it not a full review you forget to mention does it have “button mapping” ALOT of reviewers of abxylute never ONCE mention it. So in the settings under “Labs” they should be a “Key mapping” the Logitect G Cloud has this feature it allows one to play games like CoD Mobile or Google play stores when the game doesn't have controller support. And a lot of reviewers always to seem to leave it out. Because if this was a feature than yeah 100% I’ll go with this. Than the Logitect G cloud. Because 1. it Looks Cool in terms of design and the pricing is amazing

    • @GameTechTalk
      @GameTechTalk  7 місяців тому

      Unfortunately, that device has since left my company as I sent it to another fellow creator. I think most reviewers don't talk about it due to how inconsistent native-Android gaming performance is with the chip. So we all focus on what abxylute themselves market the device for: "Streaming".
      With that said, I do remember a Labs tab but can't say I remember abxylute including a native screenmapping solution.
      Nonetheless, you are right and I'll seek to do better in the future. Thanks for pointing out a very important feature that should've been addressed, be it that it is missing or is present.

      Not locally on the device as it's running Android, but if you mean from a PS5 or a PC, yes you can using Moonlight or Remote Play. Now if the question is: "should you?" I'd say no. The sticks are not ideal for shooter games, or even just to control the camera overall.

  • @XxViperMortalxX

    Does it have same "fps drops" android phones have ? I tried every possible setting on my phone but it looks like 30-40 fps while playing steady 60 fps on my pc, wired connection might i add + gigabit ethernet and wifi6 connection which my phone does support...
    Does same happen to you on and android phone ? I really fear it might happen... the steam deck for example doesnt even have wifi 6 on the lcd version which is the one i tested and i honestly cant tell a diference from native to local stream.

    • @GameTechTalk
      @GameTechTalk  9 місяців тому

      I'm leaning towards your FPS drop is not because of the device but something in your network rather, or the host device (PC, PS5, Series X/S, etc..). Now, I'm not saying the occasional dropped frame every 5 minute or so never happens, it does occasionally, but it's hardly a distraction. The way you make it sound, it's a lot worst.
      I realize it might sound like dumb suggestions but have you tried rebooting your router? Maybe check if you have a firmware update as well. I would've suggested a wifi frequency scanner for your phone to check if you have 5ghz interference but if you tried wired, then that's not the issue. Try to see if it's the same with cloud solutions as well? I've heard/seen GPUs where the encoding chip was defective and having constant hiccups, maybe that is what you are experiencing? Hopefully not...
      But to answer your immediate question, the abxylute does not perform better, nor worst than other equivalent or more capable devices like a phone or a tablet. The one difference is that the abxylute provides a well put together package. Also, while it is not exactly identical, you could think of MIMO to be like having wifi6 capabilities on wifi5, so if you have a wifi6 router and same on your phone, you shouldn't expect better from using the abxylute due to MIMO. I hope this helps!

      @@GameTechTalk i tried wifi 6 and also 5ghz both presents same problem.
      But only on my phone, cloud gaming isnt as bad but still not perfect, and the reason i mention that is because the steam deck runs it basically native of how smooth and delay free it is.
      If steam deck runs it perfect then it isnt network related, what i wonder is if it offers same stream performance of a steam deck or my phone XD, maybe my phone just sucks at decoding idk, i just know that 60 fps looks like 30 on my phone with stutters or fps drops and on steam deck it felt smooth af.
      I really wanted to know since i sold my Steam deck to a friend due to only using it for local stream, so that device would be great if proper smooth 60fps.
      But in your experience at least, was playing at 60 fps looking like 60 fps ?

      @@GameTechTalk just done some testing now, idk if u have an iPhone but if u do please tell me if the stream on abxylute is same as an iphone.
      I tested my phone and my fathers phone and both android, both snapdragon, not smooth gameplay and some stutters, tested my brothers and my mother phone one is iphone se, and the other is iphone 13, both incredibly smooth like the steam deck, no delay, no stutter and no "fps drops"

    • @GameTechTalk
      @GameTechTalk  9 місяців тому

      It might be the phone yeah, at least you got a host and network that works well. But yeah, when I stream from my local network, it plays and looks like 60. In fact, when using my phones or tablet, it feels 120fps when using panels that support such framerate. However, I have yet to see an encoder that supports a 4k120fps signal so I drop to 1440p@120fps and it works fine. 4k seems to cap at 100fps, it's a lot of bandwidth to encode.

    • @GameTechTalk
      @GameTechTalk  9 місяців тому

      @XxViperMortalxX That is so weird... I do actually, I have many phones and devices, comes with the career goals and ambitions. Right now with me, I have a Fold 4, a Redmagic 8 Pro and an iPhone 14 Pro Max. Got a few more but those are not charged. All of them worked absolutely fine using Moonlight to stream from both my PCs. One has a 3090, the other has a 4090 but to be perfectly honest. Even when I had series 1000 and 2000 GPUs that use the older NVENC, it was just fine.
      In fact, streaming was fine 9 years ago on my 970s using a Nvidia Geforce Shield. Like, it's almost always been as reliable as the Wii U gamepad, they broke it every now and then with some bad updates but it's been pretty reliable for years now.

    My ABXYLUTE One arrived. My OneXplayer S1 is better for game streaming in every way. Full "fall on my knees" retraction of every damn comment I made and lesson learned for the old teacher. It's not a bad device but unless you're willing to make a lot of sacrifices such as game streaming at 720 (unless you want unforgivable stutter), NO vibration in Nvidia GeForce Now which is also unforgivable, really, really, really small analog sticks, a mediocre interface. The good is that I managed to get 16 systems emulated with a high degree of confidence whilst not running Retroarch for any of them. More complaints to come lad. 😮

      Talking about OXP, I received the 1X Friday but I haven't opened it yet, I might try to do an unboxing/first hands-on. As for the ABXYLUTE One, the thing is it lacks so little to be so much more, as I'm sure you can also visualize for yourself. But, I believe they hinted at a new product in their finished crowdfunding campaign update they did less than a week ago. I hope they listen to feedback and are looking to make the slight changes that would make a future hardware revision that much superior.
      To give you an idea, I paid a Stadia subscription during the entire time and probably played a grand total of 2-3 hours, but was still happy to spend that monthly fee because I really wanted to support the product. I believe in cloud gaming even if I don't consume it as much, it gives opportunity to so many that otherwise might not... I love the idea of the ABXYLUTE, they just need to revisit certain aspects and it'll be a far more viable product. I salute your curiosity and openness in trying these devices first-hand. It has become such a passion for me over the years!

    Ok lad. I ordered and FINALLY received my addition molded grip "apparently designed" by Abxylute for use with the ABXYLUTE One. Very hard plastic designed moderately well EXCEPT for the the end user's complete inability to plug audio or power into the ABXYLUTE one while the grip is installed however the holes do exist for them on the grip but they're just not big enough to accommodate ANY audio or power accessory you may want to use with your console.
    In terms of it's additional comfort provided by the grip, sure, it kind of works but only with the additional analog caps which do improve overall analog stick control by a conservative 20 percent for FPS or Racing titles.

      I wanted to get it but I ended up sending the unit I had to a friend in case he'd review it. By the sound of it, it looks like I avoided a "not so great" accessory... That's unfortunate, if anything, I've been lurking in abxylute's discord and they do seem to really be listening to their community, which gives me hope for their controller, they even acknowledged the sticks being not ideal when as small as on the abxylute One.
      Fingers crossed that their second time around, they'll really knock it out of the park! Unfortunately, I think it won't support more than 9" 16:9 tablets but nonetheless, I'm excited for it.

    Man idk why but the device lacks behind bad from my phone, gfn is so jittery at 1080 60fps, but phone can do 2k 120fps like a champ, the device just keeps jittering, not obly this but psplay i can max 50mbps bitrate on my phone and its immaculate, but the abyxlute lags at 50mbps big time, really wish this wssnt an issue as i love the form factor

    • @GameTechTalk
      @GameTechTalk  7 місяців тому +1

      Could it be that you have GFN highest subscription tier? The one that unlock 4000 series GPUs? Cause if so, I'd reckon Nvidia sends a signal that is higher than 1080 60fps and that means that the abxylute needs to work harder to decode the signal. Usually, it's no big deal for most devices but the chip powering the abxylute is quite weak. The other thing is, the higher tier of GFN also supports 120fps if I'm not mistaken so that's another big deal in terms of decoding.
      I'm pretty sure you can set it in your GFN to limit to 1080p 60fps but that would also mean lesser quality for other devices you use GFN with.

    • @reececozaa9328

      @GameTechTalk oh my gosh, you sir are a genius... I lowered the Mbps down from 75mbps to 34 which is default it gave me at 1080/60 the results were so much better but not perfect, I lowered it down to 18mbps which I believe the requirement is 16mbps to adequately stream the bitrate of 1080/60 and would you guess no more stutters, packet loss or lag! Looks like you're entirely right, the device just can't handle the high bitrate decoding, seems even more legit as in psplay I can force 50000bitrate on my phone and it looks 100% like its mot even streaming, near 0 latency, but if I do the same on the abyxlute it's a stuttering mess!
