i just want more high powered android tablet devices. The fact that we still dont have an apple M1 comparable product on android for tablets and handhelds is actually just embarrassing.
Because it's useless, Android isn't a PC and there's hardly any applications that really benefit from that level of power. Now a windows tablet etc yeah but Android? Nah Also just the fact Apple invested the money because they wanted a SOC chip for their PC's it being used in the iPad is just a by product of its development. Apple would never have made the M1 chip for just the iPad alone and there's more applications with lots of users on iPads that would benefit from more power. Unlike Android tablets where people aren't/can't run applications that utilise that much power. A snap dragon chip is plenty powerful for the multi tasking that heavy android tablet users do. Unlike an iPad where people can use DaVinci resolve etc and render 8k video. Samsung tab s8 ultra doesn't have that capability at all. So I don't really see how it's embarrassing when there's such a tiny market for it that it's not viable. Because android has so many options people won't spend the extra cost if they won't utilise the performance. They'll buy something that suits. And there's not a large enough user base or development into applications to make it viable. But apple just forces people to spend extra even though the majority won't ever use the bulk of the performance given to them. It makes perfect sense to me really. One's a private company known for luxury products, the other is open source software.
@@mitchhifi9192 i mean ipads arent using MacOS but they can make use of that power from M series chips. Many apps that can actually scales w/ it from 3D design & coding work to Video & Photo editing workflows. Because there isnt hardware that can support that on android theres no reason for companies to actually adapt their software to android. Keep in mind Ipads run IpadOS which is just a glorified version of IOS.
Something no reviewer mentions is that if your pc is not powerful enough to run games on steam or in geoforce now this device will remote play those games without any problems.thats why i bought this device and im able to run any game on steam ive been able to throw at it.
Your better off getting your self a high end android phone instead of waste your money on a retroid pocket 4 pro. I have a z fold 5 and I can run all that shit on my phone with a ps4 controller.
off course not. It's not a PS Portal. It won't remote-wake up your home console. Why do you think people shell out $200 for a PS Portal? Because it DOES let you play your PS5 when you are not at home.
Fyi The Ps play app has a remote connection featute which can allow you to use the app outside the home network. It works on all Android devices. My question was relating to the WiFi connection settings as you can change the frequency of mobile hotspots from 2.4 to 5ghz
I honestly don't understand the price of this, you can legit get a phone for 200usd with a snapdragon 8 gen 1 if you look, or atleast 888 so no point in handhelds unless you get one with a good snapdragon chip so you can still play esports titles with low latency
@@JustBenching oh yeah you might not get 7inch screens but you get close at 6.67" and there are some phones with 16:9 not many but there are some Controllers exist for a gamepad my only outrage is the price of the extremely under powered chipset. The ayn odin is sick for a snapdragon 8 gen 1 i think they on special for 300 usd right now which is more than 200usd but the chipset is like 300% faster possibly way more considering the cpu is only a quad core from 8 generations ago and a gpu just as lack luster
@@JustBenching ill find a phone for ya just need to look again Also as is stated a faster chio would be nicer for when you want to play online fast paced latency reliant games. I have tried to play fortnite on my phone through streaming and the latency was over 100 ping with my oc being connected via ethernet. My phone plays it at 35 ping from the phone. So for $200 it would be nice to have atleast a snapdragon 680 which can be found these days in $120 phones so that you can play apex legends fortnite or other online games natively I can get for example a xiaomi 6.67 inch k50 esports edition for 200 pounds(250usd) off aliexpress 20:9 aspect ratio oled, HDR 800nits 120hz, 2 shoulder buttons for fps games and then get a controller for like 50usd and you have a killer gaming machine that can emulate like a motherfucker all games and game stream.
I purchased this device so I can play Xbox. The amount of lag is unbelievable. You can barely play any game!!! I purchased the device with my own money so I’m unlike this videos you see on UA-cam all over the place saying good thing about this device I have the opposite to tell you, moreover, nearly all the games on play store , you have to play it on touchscreen. The games are not recognized by the device, so all the buttons on the device are very much useless. I kind of like the device look in style however, the lag is definitely no no specially if you’re Internet wasn’t the fastest so keep that in mind. I couldn’t connect my PS4 to the absolute. Also I had trouble it just wouldn’t recognize it. I haven’t even finished this video, but I know you received this for free or at least at the discount anyways my comment is based on my own experience.
Xcloud also isnt the best service. I use it sometimes but some days trying to play a game like forza or halo forget it. Some days its actually really good. Geforce now is pretty good @Red.Rabbit.
Wrong. That is a problem of your internet. Not the devices fault. 1. There's a good list of Android games compatible with controllers 2. For those that are not officially compatible, the Abxylute has software to link each button to a spot on the screen 3. Streaming games (including Xbox Cloud) is flawless for many people. It's perfect. If it's not perfect for you, it's either a problem of your internet, or you are very far from Xbox servers.
I also have it the lag is honestly not that bad but still bad alot of the racing games on the playstore play well with full controller support i wouldnt say its the handhelds fault though cloud gaming just needs to be improved
UMM YOUTUUBE GEFORCE NOW GAMEPASS SPOTIFY DISCORD ETC. BETTER GRAPHICS AND STILL CAN STREAM YOUR PS5 LIKE THE PORTAL , QUESTION SHOULD BE WHY WOULD YOU WANT A PORTAL OVER THIS
I use mine almost every week. It's a great unit just for couch gaming. Get the caps for the sticks. You'll love it for fps or racing.
