This is such a good explanation! I’ve never really had a handle on projection mapping from footage and this is tremendously helpful. I’m definitely using this going forward.

Love the video! I'm sure you guys are busy but could you possibly do a video of how you'd do this with octane? I've always had trouble with the C4D camera mapper and octane. Thanks from the UK!
tn5n d we convert the material to an Octane material after mapping it. The emission channel is slightly too high but you can tweak it to get it to work.
Thanks for the tutorial. I could not work out how to hide the chamber, couldn't get it. In the end i covered the chamber with 2 more cubes and put the image on top which seemed to work though.

Thanks for the tutorial, even I was waiting for that after watching the insta post. I shifted to cinema after using Max for a while, and I think so far it is a good decision apart from that unwrapping process, I still don't know how to unwrap in cinema. If possible please do make a small and easy tutorial.

I HAVE MY SCENE READY AND WANT TO USE THE HDRI AS BACKPLATE, I CAN'T DO PROJECTION CAUSE OF THE CAMERA MOVES I MADE AND THE ANGLE IT'S SHOT FROM. SO HOW DO I GO BOUT THAT?

Thanks Hashi! Yeah projection mapping really opens a lot of doors. A subtle but cool way to utilize it is for scene lightning/bounce
