Nice to see a (rear) locker available on a Wrangler that isn’t a Rubicon. ✌🏼
My favorite vehicle!
This new Jeep seems MUCH quieter just compared to all other Jeep videos you have done. Its very noticeable. The interior improvements look awesome.
For The People 🙌
Just bought one love it so far
Awesome video keep up with a great work and be safe out there.
JEEP is the Equivalent of Apple iPhone 😂 same look. Little bit of add ons and the price goes up every year 🎉
Love the Willys with locker now & 33’s but for 50k id need some heated seats & steering wheel.
I got mine for just under 50k with those options. 2dr though.
Might be my next suv I would like one with the one touch and maybe in the gobi color if they would bring it back.
Love your jeep updates man
The Willy’s will come with the new grill. It was a mistake or just using up stock for the 1st production line runs of the Willy’s. A lot of them are rolling off the trucks with the new grill now.
I was just coming down to add the comment, the ones on the lot where I live all have the new grill.
Guess for those who hate the new grill and want a 4 door better run to this dealership and purchase this one that’s available with the old style grill. :)
No one ever seems to review what we are wanting (and ordered) a darn 2 door!!!!!!!!!!!! We are getting the Willys though so liked at least seeing this!
@@sylviat8461 exactly always a four door auto or a fully loaded rubicon- I will have to factory order a 2 door manual never find one on the lot
My 2024 Willy’s came with the old grille .. I called Jeep and now have a case worker who is trying to find out why.
Don't forget that those Firestone M/T's added EXCESSIVE noise that those BFG's don't.........that's a major improvement. He's wrong on the tire noise.
While the rear locker is a nice added benefit, but the fact that now the 4.10 gear ratio and 33s are on the Willys package, it gives current owners some food for thought. I have a 2021 Willys and have wheeled it quite a bit in stock form, but I like the idea that an upgrade may be worth it. Not sure if it is my eyes trying to fool me, but the fenders look like they are Rubicon height, which would be an added bonus.
They are rubi fenders
For 2024 the Willys does get 4.10 gears standard and a rear locker standard. Also, the Willys for 2024 now has the high clearance fenders just like the Rubicon. The tire size has also changed for 2024 to 285/70r17 (33”) the same as on the Rubicon. So, for 2024 the Willys gets some major upgrades/updates which make this model a solid choice for the money
@@wranglerlife4ever42 im fixing to buy a 24 willy it does com with 4.10 geat and wide hd axels
@@Jamieduncan76
Jeep website is incorrect. For 2024 the Willys does get 4.10 gears
@@wranglerlife4ever42 the reason it might says that is the 4.10 are parr of tge willys package thats built on a sport s which does not come with the 4.10s
@BEN Will the Gator color ever be a Wrangler color in the future? It was only used on the Gladiator for a short period of time.
The fact that Jeep never offered the 5.7 as an optional power plant for roughly the same price as the diesel was a massive mistake. Every powertrain they have put in these cars over the past 15 years has been incredibly underwhelming, especially for what they charge… the 6.4 not withstanding but paying $75k for a jeep product is foolish at best.
I dont know. The 3.6 has been decent. I know its not fancy
@@invictuscenturion8468 If by decent you mean generally reliable I’ll agree. It’s the only engine besides the latest generation 5.7 (non hybrid) that’s any good from the old FCA. Other than that it’s below industry average in every other way. If it were put in vehicles like the smaller Cherokee, Renegade, etc it would have plenty of power and in turn produce fantastic performance & fuel economy. However in the 4500lb+ land barges that are everything else Dodge/Ram/Jeep still makes it is underpowered, overworked, always in the RPMs to maintain anything above residential speed… and this returns awful industry trailing economy. If a vehicle with a 8 speed or larger transmission cannot maintain 60mph on an incline without edging past 2k RPM it absolutely needs more power or more gearing. The 3.6L N/A with the ZF transmission was stand out fantastic for 2014… going into 2024 it’s probably the most archaic and dated combination on the road with the possible exception of GMs 3.6/8-9 speed combo. Essentially vying for last place in a saturated market.
Also, I had a Gladiator with the 3.6 and a Wrangler with the 3.0 Diesel… the Gladiator was probably the worst driving new vehicle I’ve ever owned, and while the diesel made the wrangler much better than the Gladiator in every performance dynamic the overall experience still wasn’t good enough to keep past a year.
The 3.6 ws most powerful Jeep ever released by the factory...
@@TheDiameter Got a buddy with a Mojave Gladiator, has had it over a year, says he loves it
Now is it worth it to buy a 20-23 Rubicon or a 24 Willys?
Wish they’d offer the 5.7 hemi as an option.
Jeep configurator shows the new grill for Willys
Am I crazy or I really like the Rubicon just for the Sway bar disconnect LOL.
Which is quieter, this or the Bronco? Interior?
The best 2024 novelty - they dropped the nasty eTorque from all powertrains (unfortunately forgot to adjust the price down, cause that was the only reason V6 was 4500 instead of 2500. Adaptive cruise control and additional airbags- nice minor improvements, but other then that - not no real positive changes. Rear locker instead of limited slip dif - big mistake. People who need lockers need both front and rear, or none. 12 inch screen - useless junk. Shitty navigation on 8.4 inch, remained shitty here. Same old crappy seats are now powered - LOL. I manually adjusted my seat when I first bought it - never touched it again. Fabrics on the front dash - idiotic idea. People used to put fun decals to personalize their vehicles - no more. Crippled front grill. The floating rear axle that they advertised so much - turned out only for RubiconX, towing capacity is the same for the rest of the trims. Fuel efficiency went down 2-3 MPG (larger wheels). But the same jeep I bought in 2023 is now 10K more.
yes im glad i bough my 2023 willy
i was excited to get this but 50k wow were in rubicon territory
This Jeep reminds of my Army & National Guard Days driving the HUMVEE AKA THE HUMMER.
That awkward moment when an alpine restyle radio looks more Jeep than the factory Jeep one.
Can you do another old versus new Ford f150 xlt video please and thank you
I will never forget the first time I thought I wanted a jeep we looked at a white one and it had color matching fender flares on the driver side and black on the passenger side. Right across from it was a dodge truck with 4/wheel drive emblems on a2/wheel drive truck
MSRP floating around 50K is still showing that these feel quite overpriced compared to the competition IMO.
With a much higher retained value than any car....ever
Why not offer the manual transmission with the 2.0L i4.
Dana 44 front on the Willy’s 🙌🏼
Question: When you build this Willys via the website it show the new grill? Is that not the case?
Did you say 20 around town AND 20 around highway? I guess that’s wrangler aerodynamics?
Thought all 2024 Willys got the new grill???
The rear windshield wiper is almost useless with that big tire blocking most of the glass. What does the gold pan and pick stand for on the floor mats? I drove a Willy's, but the steering felt very light because it had standard tread tires. They were not as wide as the one you are testing. Thanks for another review. Enjoyed it!
Those are KO2's not standard tread.
2024 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited JL Sport Willys 2.0L DOHC DI Turbo I4 8-Speed Automatic 4X4!
What real world mpg did this get?
whats with the old grill? my 2024 willys has a different grill.
thats exactly what Ive been trying to figure out.....
Unchanged? You better look again!
Dash has GOTTTTTTTAAAAA GOOOO FAAAAAAASSSSSSSTTTT!!!
50K and everything "wiggles": inside! LOL.. good video Ben!
can you get the electric adjusting seats in the willy's?
what was the payload on this one?
I’ll check next time
Love the channel but a law firm??!
I am confused. Every time Jeep shows off the willys with the new redesigned grill. I noticed this while working the fit line at Toledo North that the willys didn't have new grill. Wondering if it is late availability. I also noticed that the last time I was on the fit line, that there were no willys being made. I work in the body shop so I don't see built or painted jeeps
V6 still available 2024?
Yes it is
I can get a fully loaded Nissan PRO-4X with every option for less money. More for less works for me.
Two different vehicles.
I just would never get the Nissan, too small and lack that open air thing.
imagine comparing a nissan garbage can to a wrangler
It's still a Nissan 😢
Old grill?
does the rear seat drop down as you lower the back of it ? Like the 2024 rubicon
Is the rear axle a locking differential or a limited slip differential? The Jeep website says "Tru Loc"
Locking diff from rubicon.
The axle is locked by the braking action or you can manually lock it.
Is the full time 4wd an option on the ICE Willy’s as well as the 4XE Willy’s?
That’s not the 2024! Looks more like 23! The new Willy’s grill is different
On Jeep website there no option to get Nav on Wlliys can you get Nav on this trim
Thanks
Is the turbo 4 better than the 6?
I think so
Yes, But 4xe powertrain is the best of the three if you can swing the higher price.
I prefer the 3.6 because it mult-ported and doesn't dump oil back into the intake. The 2.0 has the nicer conventional spin-on type oil filters.
Willys 4xe or 2.0?
Get the 2.0. The 4xe has the 2.0 and extra battery weigh to lug around.
10,000 more than last year…..
Not sure it’s worth $50k
What about 45k
@@Danteburnett lol ideally $40k, $42,500 tops
Imagine 60000 $ canadian complete steal
Then get the 35k willies
I think 35k for a willys Is ok not no 50k…. Price increase yet they’re selling for less than the increase….. I guess they think we’d get used to the high prices and slowly offer less discounts….. until people stop buying them… wait it’s happening now…..
Does it come with heated steering and seats?
Can you daily driver it ?
You can but I suggest you don’t. They’re slow, handle and ride poorly, get poor fuel economy, and suck to drive in the wind. That’s not even mentioning the insane cost and frequency of all Jeep repairs.
I can’t speak to a newer Wrangler but I daily drove my 2015 JKU and it is really your preferred driving experience. I had a sportier car that had a smooth ride and better mileage but I also got stuck 4 times my first winter with it. I enjoyed my Wrangler, so for me it was easy to look past it’s shortcomings and perhaps you can too. It’s subjective honestly but I daily drove mine for 7 years.
@@Carl-vx9wsYou got stuck? Where do you live? It’s snow, sleet, and ice 5 months a year here and I’ve gotten stuck exactly zero times… and no, I have never owned an AWD vehicle besides the Jeep - which I only owned for one year because of how awful a daily driver it was.
@@TheDiameter I live in Michigan, in a rural area where the roads aren’t plowed frequently, my front wheel drive Hyundai was stuck 4 times my first winter living here in my current home. To me the Wrangler I had drove and road like a truck, not like trucks today but trucks that were more rough. It’s definitely subjective, and they’re not for everyone but I liked mine for the time I I had it and was never stuck with it living here. ✌🏼
Well I’m looking for second hand jeep wrangler maybe be 2018 or 19 model for my next daily drive.
I grabbed the last 23 Rubicon on my dealers lot that was pretty loaded. I looked at the 24 and I'm not impressed enough to buy one with the exception being the 392, that I would get.
This or the rubicon?
Rubicon if you’re serious with off-roading
Go big or go back.
Similar to Bronco.
Go Tacoma!
Everything Jeep has shown has the new grill on the Willy’s , even the build and price on Jeeps website .
ummmmm yeh folks, you want a V6 with automatic on a 2024??? you're going to have to go with the Rubicon. NO OTHER WAY TO GET THAT COMBO. Here's my take on it. They have lot's and lots of 2023 Wranglers to unload. So for the early 2024's they limit the V6 to the most expensive model. It makes the 2023 more attractive if you're looking for the V6 on lower end models. As expected Jeep corporate made another stupid decision and is only pissing people off. I drove the 2.0 turbo and it's zippy but the turbo whistles on hills and seems stressed with the weight of the Jeep. Also, the engine smelled like hot oil after the test drive. I'm certain the Turbo will have longevity issues, the engine will burn through oil like a 60 year old Volkswagen, the transmission is unchanged for the turbo....think about that one.
You lost me at four-cylinder turbo charged engine screw that noise!
Maybe $40k at best
But it's a Nissan ????
Sin chào anh tuyệt vời quá 👍🙏🥰🥰🥰
50k for a ipad on the dashboard?
And for an Ipad that doesn't work at times. We had a new 2023 Grand Cherokee L Limited with the new Uconnect5. That Uconnect sucked so bad that we got rid of that Jeep and traded it back in for another with Uconnect4 after only 6 months!
Fifty. Thousand. Dollars.
thanks for the review. Thinking of getting a Willys. And BTW, it's pronounced Willis, as in "what you talking about, Willis"
No jeep is worth what they are asking , nothing will change 90% of the people minds. Drop 12- 15 grand off and they may sell. Otherwise wait for the repos.
Its pronounced willis not willies
All American name plate vehicles today
are junk compared to 25 yrs ago.
Not sure why he said this has 4.10 gears, it does not. The Rubicon does have 4.10 gears standard with optional 4.56 and 4.88 gears. However, the Willys uses the 3.45 gears (unless you opt for the Xtreme Recon package and get 4.56 gears and 35” tires)
just ordered a willys 6 speed manual and it has 4.10
Lol Jeep build quality.
Can you talk a little faster? Lol
Jeeps are garbagely built. Rust and corrosion after a year from build date.
Fluid Film them!
