Why do I feel so lonely when he doesn't stare at the camera???
ha ha ha
I nearly thought myself how to play this piece
That is love
Ae vinheteiro. Aproveita a xampoula dourada.
And anxious when he does.
I discovered this one 10 years ago.... every time I'm listening to it I feel like floating on clouds...
This music is my favorite! I always use it for background music in my videos
Love this piece
I just love this! ❤
I found this song by some VInheteiro's compilation... I owe him so much
Thank you
This is a safe area in kingdom hearts
The past it's not dead. It's not even past.
I love this song but I like it a little more slowly.
No man should have this much piano power

When my oldest child was a baby, I would put this song on for her to fall asleep. She's almost 18 now. Brings back so many memories.
Lisa Marie aww 💕
She’s probably very smart tbh
You dont even look like your 18 LOL
Memories are sad because they are moments that will never happen again
omg so beautiful
When you walk out of a coffee house at night on a rainy day in France
Oh my
GOD, that’s so accurate
Pretty much exactly how this piece was performed in the old days!
coffee... at night... on a rainy day... hmm...
Day and night. The lonely stoner seems to....
Walking by fancy diners. Seeing people get into limos, lovers underneath an umbrella, kids playing in the puddles, you look up and let the raindrops fall on your face.
Setting the scene... I see you my guy😍
The audio quality is outstanding!
@David Andrade Vega
Thanks for the respect!
Billions of kitties are meowing out loud together when the piano play stopped while they were cutely purring during playing.
haha =)
I think because Lord Vinheteiro is also an audio recording professional (he mentioned that in one of his interviews)
@@VSNxx besides skill, also an expensive microphone.
Love this song. A strange feeling of nostalgia rises. Hard to explain.
Mabey because it sounds kind of like the music in Minecraft
it’s Minecraft ain’t it
Satie was quite the ecentric and credited as the originator of what would become Muzak
It's not a song. There are no words.
It sounds like a song from Minecraft because it shares some chords with the song.

I "heard it for the first time", which was amazing, but then it took me years to find out what it was. Not so good!

"Gymnopédie No. 1" is probably one of my most favourite pieces of music ever.
Wikipedia: "Collectively, the Gymnopédies are regarded as an important precursor to modern ambient music." I like that.
CherryCherry Five I like Gymnopédie no.2 better tbh but i love this one to
So true
I can imagine a jazz version and a house version from this, too.
The gnossiennes aswell
Do u like Clair De Lune?
i was surprised to find someone that plays this piece the way i like it
Exactly.. He does it almost perfectly , no?
He plays it so tenderly sometimes with all of his jokes I forget that he’s an amazing pianist and this piece proves it
True 💯
My other favorite is Anne Queffelec. She also play it slow like it should be.
Check out Reinbert de Leeuw.
What is amazing is that Satie did not want his music to be paid attention, it was written as background music. Supposedly he got infuriated by people paying close attention to it. I think he’s one of the most underrated composers. I love nothing more than putting on my best headphones and listening to every note and intonation. Vinheteiro, yours is my favourite, everything else seems poorly phrased, your subtlety is perfection. It makes me sad the Satie would be angry that I am paying such attention but happy that it exists.
Most other versions available for easy listening are too slow in my opinion. Honestly if you take the song too slow then you pay attention to it just enough to fall asleep. This is background music that will always be appreciated.
what do you mean satie is very popular, here is an underrated composer for you

You can't really have background music if it's that good of a song.
I love it too. Whenever I am stressed I play this and it calms me immediately.
Didn’t know that, thanks for explaining ❤
I have no idea what you did .. but the piano sounded amazing today
New mic ?
he closed the hood and used the expression or sostenuto pedal.
I was thinking the same! Especially for this piece a nice sound.
He closed the piano and also has the soft pedal on. It sounds amazing, so fitting for the atmosphere he creates.
It is the same piano. The background is the same as every episode.
Because he was reading the music sheet instead of staring at the camera😂😂😂😂
This was written 130 years ago and sounds breathtaking now. Thank to Vinheteiro and Eric...
Finally a full piece. We want more!
Today my daughter has born , and this is the first song she's listening. Just came to say thanks !💖

@@karthikelf it really is quite easy. I‘m god awful at playing the piano and it‘s one of the first songs I learned (granted it took me forever to figure out coordination and stuff but thats my fault for not starting with the absolute basics)
It is not easy to play right. Thank you.

One of my two all time most favourite piano compositions. The other one is Clair de Lune.

The Girl with the Flaxen Hair
Wow! Mine too. Add Reverie and it’s the trifecta.

Thank you! My wife walked down the aisle to this 🥰
I'm curious. Was that on the organ? And isn't it a bit gloomy for a wedding?
@@Facoch42 no just a recording on the piano. I don't find it gloomy at all, to me it brings a strange sense of nostalgia, as if one is looking back on a lifetime of loving one person, so very suitable for the occasion. Breathless music for a breathless moment.
That’s beautiful...it really is.
Sad
I think this song was used when the old guy from the movie Up lost his wife

This song reminds me of my piano teacher who we lost earlier this year. Her name was Moly Costello she was 88 and died of a brain tumour. She will forever be in my heart and all her pupils.🖤💙❤️
Lenda
Literally the most beautiful thing I've heard in my life
Go listen to Claire de Lune

The sound is just soooo beautiful 🤩

Don't know if I'm lost listening to your beautiful playing, or that creepy-ass gaze of yours.
This is a work of pure genius. Satie did something completely different from his contemporaries. He was a true visionary, and his name deserves to be mentioned with composers like Beethoven, Debussy, Schoenberg, and Stravinsky.

Unlikely. I think he'd have played this before since it's such a popular piece.
@@rupe82 yeah probably but not just for the making of this video
He already played it in another video
even if you’re an amazing pianist i don’t think you can do that lol
Essa música não é triste.
Ele é linda! Remete lembranças com saudades boas!
For the fact, the soundtrack of Minecraft was inspired by the song of Erik Satie
I feel like I’m somewhere dark, cold, and slightly windy. I’m on a path searching for something but the sky is so beautiful tonight. Maybe I’ll just rest here tonight. Reminiscing about this town that was once full of life but now an empty void of what once was. I dream of a time when the maw of darkness had not yet consumed what was once a bustling town with kids playing in the parks and cars driving up and down the busy streets.

Satie was a strange man....of all the hundreds of pieces he wrote, it is THIS one, the background, meant for parties, that he is best remembered for. One day, Satie went to a taylor and had a suit made. He liked it. The next day, he went back to the same Taylor and said....make me seven more, exactly the same. He always wore ONE of his suits, all the same. Satie lived in a very tiny Parsian apartment. He had a piano. One day, he bought another piano, but had no place to put it. So he simply stacked the second piano on top of the first one. Satie wrote an opera with French modern artists, like Picasso. Picasso built all of the set pieces for the opera. The show was a gigantic FLOP. Picasso took all of his hand-built pieces out the to the street. And burned them.
Good information. Thank you for sharing. 👍
They both sound a little weird.

When you see Vinheteiro playing on the UA-cam, always with his laconic face and big green eyes looking straight at us, becomes very hard to imagine he is the same guy which is a growing success as a radio and internet comedian, with his strong Mooca (São Paulo neighbourhood) low-middle class accent, his dirty-mouth talking slangs and his favorite matter outside music: pussies...
