I tournament fish for about 40 years but I only had fantastic success in 94.95 and 96 and now I'm retired and the game has turned into a video fishing tournament series!!
Absolutely agree with you. Just GOING to my favourite dam en saying to myself how much fishing is motivates me. Then worrying about catching a fish does not matter so much and suddenly the basics kicks in an catching becomes second nature again. Thanks Glenn.
I’ve only been bass fishing since I retired, April 2022. This year I haven’t caught a single bass compared to the prior two years. This video has me thinking what I changed and now I’m fired up to go back to what I first learned and was catching bass on.

I was getting skunked bass fishing. A few days ago, I went bluegill fishing. Had a blast. Yesterday, I went for bass and landed two 1 pounders and one, I'd guess, close to 3 pounds. Texas rigged ZOOM Baby Brush Hog...old school.

Great advice, Glenn. I happened to re-visit our urban creek yesterday before watching this video today. Found the bass and bluegill population had re-established themselves after a horrendous sewage spill die-off 2 yrs ago. Caught maybe 7 or 8 LMBs under 2lbs ea.but got under the shade of the large trees, out of the heat, and just experimented with various baits.

This video speaks to me, as I’m just struggling out of a slump right now. And exactly what you said, friends posting how great the fishing has been for them.😢 I went back to fishing a couple lakes I’m familiar with, tried a new to me presentation (Tokyo rig) and caught my first few on that, also the old faithful dropshot and have started to climb out. Took my son with me today and the fishing was “OK”, but a great day doing it with him. Caught one decent one (3.5#) as my last fish so feeling some hope for the future. lol 👍🏻🤞🏻
