This episode was the most dramatic this show has ever been. We got to see that Toba can be mature and responsible when she has to. We got to see our plucky young heroines as the inexperienced and overconfident teenagers that they truly are. It's a different feel from the rest of the series but it added some real depth to the characters. It also puts a more serious spin onto Nadeshiko's goal of a solo camp. Toba earned that sake.
I like how the show just handles her as a character. They do let her get drunk at every given opportunity, but it's never portrayed negatively. It's just "oh, she's drunk again. Let's find a different method to this."
she is a great teacher. instead of scolding she turns this into a learning experience that they girls will remember and take heed when choosing campsites in the future. like any teacher she teaches them rather than makes them feel like they made a wrong choice.
It's more of an Asian thing. When I studied middle school in Taiwan, all my teachers were very caring and would even be on the lookout for you outside of school making sure you don't do things that would be dangerous like riding a bike without a helmet or going to internet cafes. Besides, all groups have a designated "main teacher" that's supposed to take particular care of them; this is what that teacher probably is or she's their club advisor.
@@stevebisset1522 uh what? No, socialism is why they don't care. Teachers can't be fired easily and even when they are they get transfered and paid leave (the main reason teachers were protesting to keep schools closed so they can collect a paycheck by default). So most don't care about doing a good job unlike other professions where you got to compete for job advancement and not rely on senority.
1:31 Notice that Chiaki was the first to put her head down a bit when Toba-sensei tells the girls about doing more research on campsites, she knew she made the mistake of not doing more research on the campsite and feels bad about it, granted she is still a teenager and got too over confident about winter camping at this campsite, so it was an honest mistake. Hopefully this experience will not only teach Chiaki on doing more research on campsites, but to Aoi and Ena as well, so they will be more prepared and make sure this never happens again, and have their fun camping experience as always. Props to Toba-sensei for handling this maturely; she didn't yell at the girls, scold or talk down to them, she simply gave a stern talk to them and made it into a learning experience like any good teacher would, while still caring and worrying about their safety and well-being, she earned that sake ❤️
Saito's VA has a really nice voice. But, I love how Miss Toba was able to turn a potential incident into a learning experience and a lesson on accountability on both sides. Any campers and anyone who does activities outdoors should _always_ have both: a way to communicate with someone, and have someone know _exactly_ when they are leaving, and coming back. I've had family who have had to learn this lesson the hard way too. I've even heard of some people who are from where I live who go on snowmobile trips in the winter, and no one knowing that they are gone, only for something to happen. Letting a friend or family member know your itinerary is important. As well as thorough research of the area you're planning on going to. And not going to places you don't know.
Rin is truly a saviour in this episode. Without her, Yuru Camp would become Death Camp for the trio 😐. This shows that having an experienced camper is a must.
I love Toba-sensei. Even though she loves drinking, she also cares a lot about the girls of the Outdoor Club and their safety and well-being.
Yeah, she hilarious when she's drunk
Thats Ms.chug for you
Responsible drunk. They definitely exist.

Yep she sure did
Most Teachers I Know in this situation: *checks phone* “They’re probably already dead.”
Why are you in every crunchy roll video
Most Teachers: I missed the part where that's my problem
@@Lightingweeb dude, he's in EVERY video
Given most the teenagers I’ve met, it’s a solid possibility
@@theKobus Yeah, it's kind of a case of "I could lock them in a padded room and they'd still figure out how to set something on fire."

There's something about this anime that just makes me watch every episode with a big smile on my face.
+1
You mean read not watch
Same
You mean dopamine?

A teacher that actually cares about their students.
Amazing. It's just like a Unicorn
maybe Yuru Kyan should actually be classified as a Fantasy? xD
Teachers care, they’re just not allowed to do their job because capitalism

Well, it is all on her if something bad happened to the girls; she's the club advisor.
Sensei: Oh good you're safe. I was worried about you guys. 😥
Also Sensei: Alright time to get smashed. 🤪
This was a well deserved drinking binge
"Oh right I need to let Shima-san know you're ok... Yo wazzaaap Shima-san!!"
I love after that heartwarming scene, we see Toba plastered after the old man offers her sake.
that teacher has her priorities in check
first be sure that her students are safe
then when she confirms that there is not danger got smashed asap
Props to Rin for looking out for her friends and to the teacher for going the extra mile for her students.
You know you're watching Yuru Camp when almost all main characters die a horrifying death.
People die?
@@Fightanddie nah
Sensei’s drunk voice cracks me up
Rescuing the sensei is gonna be a hassle, but it’s worth it.
I would hardly consider this "laid back"!
2:22 Ah there we go.
Huh the first episode of Laid-back camp where a threat of death was possible.

alright but that appearance was unexpected for me and it got me lol
Same!
Riiiinnn Chan , lifesaver !!
I loved it when Nadeshiko decided to make offer to her calling her a diety of Camping 😆
@1:27, "I'm looking at *YOU* , Aki-chan!" ^^
Toba-sensei rescues! And good on Rin for looking after the others too.
Toba sensei 1:09 responsible teacher mode on
Toba sensei 2:22 drinking mode on
2:25. This the ideal woman. You may not like it, but this is perfection.
I see no reason to deny it.
At least until she throws up.
What a good role model they have
Only if she isn't drunk
Honestly if you watch the movie and see who which is the most similar to the teacher I think she did a excellent job.
And knowing is half the battle!
The other half is in this bottle somewhere, let me check.
toba is such a good teacher
And she got drunk again is good to see her drunk teacher again
Ms. Toba's glasses are so cute. No wonder why her nickname is "dreamy sensei"

The return of Miss Chug.
Awesome Laid-Back Camp Season 2 Video.
I just think her and the teacher from Days at the Breakwater would be good friends.
And by that I mean "near-constantly drunk in the great outdoors"
*YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES!!!*
Sensei best character
So this is a rescue mission noice
I loved this lol
Looks like CR hasn't unlocked last week's video. I'm hoping it's kagamigahara waiting/drooling for her shigure-yaki. That was lol funny!
Looks like it's up now, and it doesn't dissappoint!
