Update 8/12/23 the led bulb has stopped working with a bit of flickering beforehand, not bad for lasting 7 years though
Just popped in a purple and it looks Amazing I never knew I could do so many things on my own. I'm usually just on hell of a tool passer lol again thank you
nice! glad the videos are helpful. it's great learning how to work on your own stuff. save a lot of money that way. no problem! thanks for watching!
I literally am buying a used TW200 tomorrow....thankful your videos are amazing.
oh cool! ride safe and have fun. thanks 😀👍
Very nice informative, and detailed video. Not often you see a how-to video covering the little steps like this one did.
Audio was clear, and uniform in volume. Again a rare thing in most videos.
5 stars to you.
thank you! glad you enjoyed it
Awesome videos. I get new fridge boxes from a local appliance store free. When you cut the long corners you get four perfect beds to roll your bike onto for maintenance jobs. Dropped parts stand out, and lubricants don't get onto driveway / garage cement floors.
thank you! that's such a great idea! then you can just thow it away when it get's too dirty 😃👍
Great tip
You make my life easier.
Good to hear, my goal is to cover every single thing on the tw200 haha
Well done! Greetings from Greece ( Owner Yamaha TW 125cc 1999 )
thanks! oh wow very cool :)
I followed your instruction and did this Mod using white LEDs. Huge difference. Especially since only bulb was working.
nice! I bet it looks good 😃
@@TDubsKid It looks awesome. Thaks to you. Whatsapp me I will be happy to share some pictures with you Bruh. The Zongshen Build is coming along fine. +18684668850
nice! I don't have a whatsapp You could send them on my facebook page if you want. that's good your zongshen is coming along
@@TDubsKid OK. Will do.
I'm defiantly trying this one
Nice it’s a cool little upgrade, draws less wattage too
Dope video
Thanks 💯
Happy New Year. May you be happy, healthy, wealthy and wise. Couple of things I changed all my lights to leds also installed jns headlight and led flasher also change all instrument lights but the front signals barely blink and indicator light doesn’t work tried different led bulb and still doesn’t work any thoughts. Also the manrack that you bought are you happy with it or would you prefer cycleracks.
thank you! happy New Years to you as well! dang sorry to hear it's not working i'm not sure, it's something I would have to look at what flasher did you get you could try hooking the old lights back up if it's not too much trouble and see if they do the same thing? and I love the manrack it's smaller than the cyclerack just depends on how big you want it
also did you make sure the led's are hooked up for the correct polarity?
Will you do a vid on the bulbs for the neutral, brights, turn signal indicators? I tried prying them out but I feel like I'm going to break something..
I will eventually. dang. do they push down and twist at all? I haven't seen those bulbs yet
@@TDubsKid Yes, these push down and twist.
I figured it out same day. New to the dub, trying to figure it all out.. I’m having trouble getting the throttle body spring back on the carb now.. lol
yeah you usually figure stuff out when messing with it for a while. I need to make a video on that haha
I would love one of these videos also. Going to order my speedometer led tomorrow and get it installed asap. Be nice to know what my speed is at 4am.
Thanks!
no problem!
I like the midnight blue on the tw and the charcoal grey are the best colors
those are nice! my favorite is the black and gray/silver from somewhere around 2004 I think I hope they make a black and yellow one someday
@@TDubsKid that's the one I got, the 05
Red doesn't degrade night vision. Good choice.
true that!
How u like the tw long term I know you have had it for a while...thinking of getting one for my wife....she is smaller and fit on it perfect...
I love it I put 10,000 miles on it so far and won't be getting ride of it ever, it's not good for higher speeds on highways but great for off road and backroads with a 55 or under speed limit
very cool:) that is called a "hairpin" clip
hey thanks! and good to know for next time :)
It's a body pin for R.C. Vehicles to me lol
2:00 it should be quite tight actually, mine just wiggled loose and I had to replace it.
yeah it should be fairly tight but you don't want to round out the head, you could always put a tiny bit of blue locktite on it to be safe
Is it the same bulb as the other instrument panel? My high beam light is out.
no it's a different type of bulb
I’m constantly leaving blinker on because I can’t see indicator in the sun and not used to non-auto cancelling blinkers.. I wonder if I can make blinker indicator brighter the same way or if it’s the same type of bulb.
yeah I always do that too, then my friends have to remind me hahaha, it's a different bulb, for the signals, don't know which one off the top of my head, but I don't think it will be much brighter unfortunately, maybe hook up a turn signal buzzer?
TDubsKid LOL. Tazer in seat maybe.
haha maybe, it may also just take a while to get use to it, it took me forever, I still forget sometimes mainly when i'm riding off road and don't care as much
Is it brighter than before?
about the same just red, it just looks cool
TDubsKid OK Thanks I'm going to get the blue for my 2007 TDUB.
nice that will look sweet!
I did this mod and months later it started flickering with the RPM rate. Everything else operates as it should and the bulb is secure....any ideas?
where did you buy the LED? it sounds like it's bad. if you bought it from superbrightleds (where I got mine), it has a 3 year warranty.
@@TDubsKid I got them from china off ebay but the first one worked great for over 6 months. I guess I should try another one. I have a lithium battery coming if it's a battery issue but seeing as it starts and the headlight is good I'm guessing it's either the LED or somewhere in the related wiring.
yeah the cheaper ones don't have as good quality control. yeah I bet it's the led, I have seen a lot of the cheap ones do that, at least they are cheap
I put a blue led in and it came out green is there a yellow filter in there that is removeable?
are you sure you didn't get a green led by mistake? wouldn't a yellow filter have made mine orange?
@@TDubsKid im sure because i turned it on before putting the cover on and yea it would make yours probably orange red red lights are usually brighter
Maby ill take the cover off and check again anyway
@@TDubsKid ok so i pulled out the blue bulb i put in and put a different larger blue led in and its now more blue it must have been the light position and size that changed the way the light was comeing through the panel
The "clip" is called a "hitchpin".
thanks
Does anyone know what type of bulb the neutral light is?
should be this one right here www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo/led-vehicle-replacement-bulbs/ba9s-led-bulb-1-led-ba9s-retrofit-classic-car-bulb/4/10642/?BA9s-x-xVAC-CAR&GoogleBaseChild&gclid=CjwKCAjwk9HWBRApEiwA6mKWaUOju2Rxx0KSHaxYmcRMKMxebqyAZNRD-OcKss_6z5MvsBnoLR6b4hoC6FkQAvD_BwE
the part number is BA9s
that may be a JIS screw
Im not sure what JIS means
It is the type of head for the phillips like screws. It stands for Japanese Industrial Standard. Thats why you have to use a thick screw driver.
ohhh interesting, good to know! thanks
Your thumb is very wrinkly lol
lol
Sped ometer not "speed ometer " plz
is that how your supposed to pronounce it?
