- This is such a BEAUTIFUL song, and it was our wedding song, too! I've looked all over on here to find it and only came across instrumental. Hope everyone likes the Conway version. :)
Boy,have I missed him on Country Radio,but I listen to Eddie Stubbs,and he plays Conway,regularly. I thank GOD,for Conway's gift to Country Music.,and John Hughey's Steel.
❤❤ Love Conway Twitty and his songs. My favorite singer. ❤❤
Hands down the best Conway song, and I’m a huge fan of his music! I’d say this is in the top 5 of the best songs period.
probably the best pedal steel solo ever
Allen W. No doubt about it!
Allen W.
Agreed
Allen W. Dolly Parton yellow roses
I'd listen to that solo all day long.
Allen W. I love the steel guitar!
One of the best examples of steel guitar. Sounds great.
RIP Conway and John such pretty Music....thank You !!!.
Thanks 4 sharing this very beautiful song! U know I enjoy listening to his songs!
John Hughey's solo here is one of the two or three greatest steel guitar solos ever recorded, IMHO. And Mr. Jenkins had enough good sense to let him play an extended outro on this song. RIP, Buttermilk John!
My favorite! The best song he made! ❤️❤️
thanks for sharing this! It was once said that Conway was the best friend country music ever had and this song shows us why. RIP Conway.
Close, the actual quote was "The best friend a song ever had." He was certainly that songwise and country wise.
@@ChessieStorm I love yr comment
FANTASTIC STEEL SOLO AND A GREAT CONWAY CLASSIC
RIP Conway & John Hughey {Conway's steel guitar player}.
Conway was the epitome of what country music should be. The newer guys could stand to learn from him.
This is my "all time" favorite Conway song. Not only because of the awesome mood and performance of conway, but also for the "matching" awesome composition of the pedal steel. WOW All things came together on this one.
This was john hughey at his best on steel guitar!!!!RIP my friend
This is back when country music was really country music
Crossover Conway, always tops. Magic John Hughey- comes tears of joy. Falling through time and space.
I love this song now and loved it back in the day. One of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. I'm happy to know I can hear it when I wish to, I don't hear it on the radio. Thank you for allowing all of us to enjoy such a lovely song.
Holy Steeeel!!! Holy steel. Holy...
It was one of our wedding songs, too. Just an amazing gem that you rarely, if ever hear.
Such A Beautiful Song ! Thankyou dear...Anita :)
Real country music died years ago you have seen the LAST of the real stuff like this.
How could anyone not LOVE this!. RIP John and Conway
I miss God old country music , the sound of Conway , haggard , and John Hughey on the steel guitar.
There are still a few traditional style artists.
Reminds me of my first wife.Hell.I miss Conway more than I do her.RIP Conway
😆
It's a beautiful for those getting married and such, but that steel guitar play by Mr. John Hughey is absolute pure country gold.
First song me and my husband danced to 39 years ago. He passed Dec. 18th and I can't stop listening to it. Beautiful memories 💖
can't get enough
A georgious cute song.
it doesn't get any better than this!!
such a beautiful song.....but when its a song you thought was your song and on the verge of a split it will tear your heart out.......
Now that's country music!Nashville, are you listening?Conways voice and John Hugheys steel?Perfect combo.
Conways songs are wonderful just as I feel he was and a very good looking man to.
I am planning to use this song and I Still Believe In Waltzes as a few of my wedding dance song.
love this song
Comfortable memories as a child falling to sleep with the radio on low.
We step out on the dance floor, the band starts to play
Holding you close I get carried away
Finding that falling is easy to do
Lost in the feeling with you
Time standing still as I whirl you around
We're dancing without even touching the ground
Finding that falling is easy to do
Lost in the feeling with you
No words are spoken
That don't need to be said
You and the music
Have gone to my head -
But I'll just go on when the music is through
Lost in the feeling with you
Lost in the feeling with you
thank you manfred id love to be dancing on that dance floor just need a partner
My favorite song of Conway's. This song found me how beautiful the sound of steel guitar was. Sometimes great songs stalled at No.2 in music history, and this is good example.
just a beautiful song and with John Hughey on steel-awesome
This is how Country Music is supposed to sound like! R.I.P. Conway!
Exceptional melody and chord progression.
this is the most beautiful steel guitar, one of the main reasons I learned how to play one, and of course conway was one of my favorite singers too so it was a win win
Anyone searching for a wedding "first dance" song? This is it!
History for me, never forgotten. Told by a Great Singer.
Soooo good 😭😪❤
I REMEMBER WHEN THIS CAME OUT----I BUSTED MY ASS TO LEARN THIS----BUT I DID AND WE AS A BAND PLAYED THIS----IT ALWAYS BROUGHT THE HOUSE DOWN.---THIS WAS ONE OF THE HARDEST SONGS I HAD TO LEARN TO PLAY---JOHN'S STYLE WAS HARD TO COPY.-----I BELIEVE WITH A LITTLE PRATICE I STILL CAN---WE WILL SEE.
It's hard to copy a talent , but , if you said you brought the house down , then I'm sure you did GREAT ❤
When this song came out, I had just borrowed a Sho-Bud Maverick from a friend to try to learn on. This was one of the first songs I learned the chords on (but I did NOT sound like John Hughey when I played it).
Ladies and gentlemen, late, great Mr. Conway Twitty and the late, great 'Papa' John Hughey!
..lost in the feeling with you...oh the feelings..
Wow, so sweet Bob, it is indeed a beautiful wedding song ;D
Im smiling here, im sure you;re reminiscing that time with a smile on your lips ;D

@orbodman John Hughey was the steel player
Probably my favorite Conway song. thanks for posting. Mike in Fresno, Ca.
accept no substitutes.
🥰 I heard this driving down the road today, I am beholden to the generous pedal steel guitar parts in this song. You can never have enough fiddle 🎻 or pedal steel guitar weeping in and out of melodies. 🦢⭐️🦢⭐️🦢⭐️
Damn rite !!!!
Yes he was a great singer, but he was loved by many and he cared about his fans in return..loved him dearly!❤🔥🎸🎶🎤🎸🎤

That steel guitar solo give me chills!

They played this at the Opry the night before the show. When the show came on they announced his death. What a shock that night.
Love my steel guitar and my tearjerker depression music! Yea I know I ain’t rite lol but is what it is
It really speaks volumes about the "magic" of a song about something (someone) endearing when it brings tears to your eyes every time you hear it.
I play this for my wife pretty often. She has to change her bloomers every time.
I'had forgotten this song. Great chords and well sung. Good steel. Who played the steel?
orbodman John Hughey
John Huey does some of the BEST steel work ever on this song !!!
I remember as a child my whole family meeting up at my grandparents house and pick and sing. Man I miss those days.😢
Conway, yes, John Hughey, HELL YEAH!
One of my favorites by Conway Twitty. The steel guitar is perfect in this arrangement. RIP music man
Reminds me of times with my mom and grandparents. Life definitely has some great chapters to it.
This was my husband and I's song we danced to after getting married.
1:30 is the steel solo so loved
and 2:09
I always hated Conway for his perfect head of hair.
Great love song for sure....❤
Good song love to be slow dancin
I believe Alan Jackson can do this song Justice I believe he could bring this song to number one if he would recut it so please mr. Alan Jackson
Love that steel guitar
DAMN COMMERICAL ADS.
Agreed - they certainly shatter the mood, but this music transcends anyway!
