How come no diagonal test with the Traverse? You do it with every other car, it is what your channel is known for! Test it out! No other UA-cam channel has tested the awd system on the Traverse or the Acadia.
We can't do diagonal testing and roller test unless the vehicle is available on the Québec press Fleet. This was filmed on a press trip with no possibility to find such a hill. But if you want us to do it, you need to place a formal comments request. As soon as we have more than just a few, the manufacturer usually sends us the vehicle requested.
Disagree Multidisc twin clutch rear drive module should be much better off road than their traditional single clutch rear drive module. This should be able to really put down traction to either tire, should be very nice off road.
Would be great if you would've asked GM representative for more info about the difference between "4x4" and "Off-Road" modes on that mode selector on AWD models (things like default torque % distribution between front and rear axles or whatever other difference there is) ... For some reason GM never published any technical details about that in any place on its site aside from generic statements like "Off-Road mode is better for off-roading".
Great informative video! I always loved the previous two generations of the Traverse because of big crossover size for trips especially, and the new one expands on all the points you said in this video, this will be my next new car!
Great video i dont know why gm did that they should’ve mad the traverse and the acadia the same size and the enclave would be the bigger body or vice versa
The 2018 Traverse seems really nice; too bad standard safety features on the $31k Toyota Highlander will cost you nearly $53k on the Chevrolet Traverse!!! WTF GM!!! SAFETY SHOULD NOT BE OPTIONAL!!!
Hard to believe I am saying this about a Chevy Traverse- but this is a handsome vehicle.
