I am native american and i love that you include our history with this. My grandmother still makes traditional medicine and pumpkin seed is something she uses for some of her "fix its"
I am not a big fan of pumpkin but I do love eating the pepita seeds in trail mix blends. Pumpkin is one squash variety that I am trying to incorporate more into my diet as I'm on a journey to better my health. This variety is definitey one I will consider growing once I get land and have a space for gardening, Thank you for sharing the history behind this variety.
I am planting Lady Godiva for the first time this year. It is hard to imagine the seeds will produce pumpkins with naked seeds. I can't wait. Nice video Thank you..
I lived in Styria (Austria) for a year, and can attest to their pumpkin seed oil being the best tasting I've ever had. In season, you find it drizzled in pumpkin soup. Seeds are also served raw, roasted, or candied in a variety of flavors. It's easy to find it anywhere in that part of Austria. This would be a great pumpkin to grow!
@@RareSeedsBC You're welcome! One thing I forgot to add: The dark green pumpkin seed oil stains, but it's easy to remove if you expose the clothing or other fabric to sunlight for at least 15 minutes, it takes out the green entirely, so you're left only dealing with the oil stain.
Interesting! I would love it if you, @rareseeds, as experts on the seeds, would provide insight into how to best grow Lady Godiva squash. I LOVE your seeds and seed collection! By far the best germination rate comes from your seeds! Thank you!
Wow!! How gorgeous! I really need to get my seeds ordered soon! I have spring fever here in Florida. I'm actually still growing my green pepper plants outside and have gotten quite a bit off of her already these past few months! Thanks so much for sharing!! I have to give this and that lemon cucumber a try. I love the history behind the seeds so thanks for sharing that.
@@krystelhardesty9960 that's awesome!! I love that we can grow a lot all year here. My peppers are still going from a few months ago and they're producing like crazy although I do have to cover them when we drop below 40° because it can damage the peppers that are growing on them. Good luck for your spring garden! This is my seed starting week lol. I think that last frist dat is Feb. 13th for central florida here. Woohoo! Happy planting and good luck to you!!
@@krystelhardesty9960 I've never actually grown from bakers creek. I've been a grower for 6 years now and usually buy my seeds locally but I'm looking to order from them real soon. I'm trying to decide what to grow because I want a lot of beauties they have. It's hard to grow squash types here that are not heirloom because the bugs take over. I'm curious about how these will do along with a few others.
@@RareSeedsBC Do you guys know if any pumpkin or squash plants that are grown for its flowers? I really only grow pumpkin for its flowers so as to chop in salads and cook with.
These have germinated very well. I have nice healthy plants that will be ready once our frost date has passed. We plan to grow them on a trellis. Curious how the flesh tastes.
Very nice video. Is it possible to buy on line thèse kinds of seeds to be grown? I am living in thé Atlas Mountain Do you think that is possible to grow them here in Morocco?

Who is the narrator? Her voice is familiar.
Never mind you already answered the question on the lemon cucumber video.
Please don't the narrator become a car salesman, I am broke enough.
