Bravo Simon - bold and virtuosic playing, with wonderfully clear articulation - so proud of you.
This deserves 4 million views instead of 4 thousand. This is arguably the most difficult rhapsody - not that the others were easy at all. You play it so smooth and controlled as if it was no challenge :O. This is superb!
Astounding.
Amazing. Beautiful.
好厉害!弹琴又好长得又帅!
Wonderful !
Una maravilla!! Gracias
Fantastic!
He souds majestic!
Brilliant performance! I would highly recommend listening to this piece by Jenő Jandó. Friendly reminder: virtuosity es not all about how fast you can play different notes at the same, its all about how much INFORMATION you can give to the audience in a period of time. But afterall, this is a really great performance. Well done!
Listening to what Jandó has to offer repays richly in almost anything from Haydn to Bartok. A fantastic and underrated musician.
I am doing that same Liszt rhapsody ("Pest Carnival") in my recital in 3 days in Chicago! I studied that piece for over 25 years!
What are my thoughts in the interpretation of this flashy Liszt composition?
The final tenth extension on D-F before the long cadenza on the Cb-Eb-Ab-Cb pedal point in l.h. - I think the first 20 32nd notes of that long cadenza in the RH (in the 4-note groupings) should start very slowly - and then accelerate to the much faster tempo of the subsequent 32nd notes in the cadenza after that.
Hello, I am a Korean student studying in the United States.I'm honored as a person who really likes Hungarian Rhapsody No. 9. I'm majoring in piano.I wonder what you did in the beginning of 01:17.And I'm curious how long it took to complete this song.I'm sorry to ask you so many questions at the first meeting. You are a great pianist.
His eyes were full of imagination
Очень хорошо!
Omg that's so cool
6:00 I find this slip up funny and so relatable. Best thing is most audience members wouldn’t even notice that you played the wrong melody!
Thoroughly enjoyed it, very good performance. If you care for random feedback from the internet: I wish he would let some of the punctuating notes ring for a moment - some of them are so dry. Another thing, when a theme is repeated, I think he could use dynamic or pedal to differentiate the two - its feedback I saw Hough give a student in a master class for Liszt's 12th Hungarian Rhapsody.
You have a very very similar interpretation to world of piano
Not flawless but quite an interesting point of view to cherish!!
I do get a kick out of this guy's eyes. 😂
Отвратительно. Но беглость при этом прекрасная.
god this piece is so sketchy to play in a live setting lol
