@@jake_spence zi was mainly worried about the 1.3in front drop but I have the F82 and since it drops .5in more in the back I think that will remove some of the aggressive rake the F80 has and lever the front out slightly. Will see.....

I'm not really a car mod guy, but fascinated with the process. My question is, when u put lowering springs on, does it affect the tire wear? As in, not wearing evenly? Always wondered that.
Nice! I'm throwing some st coils on my e92 m3 tomorrow 😁 I was actually about to order that same torque wrench you're using in the description too, that's pretty cool.
Nice 👍 Let me know what you think of those ST coilovers! I've found that Tekton makes great, affordable tools. I am continuing to buy more of their stuff.
Nice video! You definitely made the springs look easier then when I did it with jacks in a drive way with a buddy. What plans do you have for the f80 and what’s your thoughts on doing the crank hub fix for these cars

Is there no influence on the control of the suspension with these short springs or premature wear of the system? Has your suspension been performing well since installing the short springs?
That’s interesting. I installed ED on my 2018 Golf R and HATED them. So bouncy, wish I’d gotten H&R instead. I hope you have a better experience then I did.
Hi! I just did my springs on my F22, and it sounds like the struts are popping when I turn at no/low speeds. I use a counterhold/ratchet off of the car and tightened the strut nut. Is it possibly that the top nut isnt tight enough? If so, I should be able to hit it with an impact with the car on the ground right? Any help is appreciated!
Amazing video any noob can do this! Question though, my f83, m4 convertible is lowered on HR springs 1.5f/1.1r, I want to raise the front some. I understand that people can add spring pads to raise the rear, what can be done for the front? I'm in NY not the best roads and bought the car like this, wanted to raise it up slightly. Thanks!
I'm tempted to go Emmanuele but I have a V-style lip and feel that maybe eibach would be safer but the drop is nearly nothing in the rear with eibachs :(
Love the car man! I have a 1er right now that’s what lead me to your channel but later down the road I want to get an f80 competition how do you think these springs would do on that? I don’t know for a fact if the spring rate is different ZCP or not.
Thank you! I'm glad you found the channel. I have some 1er videos coming soon. I'm not sure about the F80 ZCP springs either, but I would assume they're close to the same, if not identical. I wouldn't hesitate using these springs on a Competition package car.
hey i have a 2018 f80 m3 competition wheels. I put 15 mm in front and 20mm spacers in back. Love how wide the back is but i do not like the gap in the front. Can I go with just rear wheel spacers and leave fronts stock?

I wish they had these for my F10 M5. I put H&R spring in because I wanted to retain my factory EDC and it seems ok on the H&Rs and not bouncy. F10 M5 is coilover on the rear like the front though, not like you M4 with a spring separate from the strut. not sure if that makes a diff.

Damn that looked easy! That front way of putting springs on is smart, will it work on an E92? The height looks amazingly good and spot on, which is not so easy with just lowering springs.
It was! And I'm not too sure. I've never seen it done that way, or tried it myself on an E92. I feel like I would've come across that method before, but you can try it and see what happens!
Hi Jake, I assume you will be installing studs on the wheels of this car too, right? Also, will you put spacers on this car? And, what year is the F80?
Real nice stance. I’m wondering what would it looks like with the spacer on. I always like the rear is a little bit higher than the front that just my own opinion. If you can slap some wheel spacers on. Oh man. It’s going to look really clean
Did you have any sounds in your front end after installing these? I did the same exact thing here with the same springs and watched this video and now I have a clunking sound in my right front end. Can you ask your mechanic what this might be since I follow this to a T.
I think the stability improvement you feel ("floaty" feeling gone) is a result of improved aerodynamics by lowering the car and particularly the front. A low front helps reduce the airflow under the car than can create turbulence which reduces the air's speed and creates lift. This is what an air dam does, but obviously the closer the air dam is to the road the better it works. You didn't lower the rear as much so just maybe (and I mean maybe) you are getting more of the same effect that occurs in a diffuser on a race car. I suspect it is more of a reduction in lift from preventing underflow than a increase in negative lift generated by the rake of the car. It would be nice if someone who studied vehicle aerodynamics would chime in.
