I appreciate the down to earth tone and approach to this video. Please more tutorials from this guy! I much prefer this style over the other over the top, overtly energetic tone from that other presenter that wants to come off as cool like we’re all teenagers.
Such an easy-to-follow video!!! Thanks so much. I’ve watched probably days worth of SEO videos, podcasts and blogs and gotta say you really put it in simple terms and how to actually apply it to e-commerce!
Excellent Tip💕 Thanks! Bottom-line, without proper SEO built in to your website, for driving traffic, 🌟 Customers for visiting My Shop to buy is the Main Key Foundation! 😀Just saying
Can you please make a dedicated video on the keyword research process, such as building a topic map, mapping out different content types, and creating a content calendar? Thank you!
Hi, there! Thanks for the feedback and video suggestions. In the meantime, you can check out our guide on how to create a social media content calendar here: utm.guru/ufqVD. All the best!
Great video! Thank you for posting!! You see those "clunky" websites. Images load slowly, the site doesn't make lots of sense as far as navigation and content, on and on. When the do it yourselfer launches a website that site is 1/2 done although they don't realize it. Without SEO the website is only 1/2 done so you have to bring in the SEO specialist.
Hey sir your video is awesome but i got a doubt that, for each indivudual product we need to have individual collection created in shopify or in one collection we can add multiple products to let the search engine know?
Excellent Insights! Thank you!... Question: If we have a Store that sells only 1 thing, but with many designs and colors, is the copy-pasted portion of the Alt-Text for each variant image treated as spam? (I ask because I was listening to you while updating my bazillionth product image which always starts with the color and design, for the convenience of blind and low vision buyers... and then finishes with a cut-paste that describes the portion of the image and product keyword descriptions that is common to all, and can be seen in that particular image...)... which made me freeze and wonder if I should delete a lot of the alt-text..? (even though blind buyers may miss out unless they browse every image to glean the full description of the similar images... if that makes sense..?)
It's definitely beneficial to do so, so we do recommend that you do it where you can. Though keep in mind that it isn't the only factor that determines your website's ranking on Google, so make sure that you do it in tandem with all the other strategies that can help improve your website's ranking overtime. All the best! 🚀
2:10 that's not completely true, backlinks is just one other attribute that is measured against usability etc... to come up with a score. The quality of those backlinks is absolutely essential to it having any potential positive impact on your ranking. Content is king, if you want to rank higher, the content needs to be better, onsite SEO seems to have some impact but if by including it you reduce your content quality then you're going backwards. Focus on the user and the rankings should follow (that's how it is supposed to work).
Great question! From an SEO standpoint, it is generally advised against copying and pasting the same meta description across different product pages. This is because duplicate or unoriginal content can have adverse effects on both your search engine rankings and user experience. Search engines like Google prefer unique and original content.
I want to expand the categories of my store little by little, like the Amazon website, and I started with sports equipment, but I don't know how to add other topics so that SEO is not damaged and my current sales are not reduced. If I put computer parts and accessories in an online store selling sports equipment, will it harm the site's SEO?

The more content you have on product description pages, the more opportunities you have to rank. With product page content, it's best to do keyword research first and add variations of the keyword you're trying to rank for. Hope this helps!

Valuable information! Thank you!
Smart video
So would you always include a link to the product collections page in your blog posts as well?
It's definitely beneficial to do so, so we do recommend that you do it where you can. Can I copy & paste Meta description on different product pages, is this considered duplicate or unoriginal content by SEO?

How about external linking
External links are also great for SEO

You might be able to start by selling sports computers like running watches and such. Then expand from there. It is a more natural progression.
@@DanielBerkness Good answer, Thanks a lot.

hard to understand that ecom product pages are recommended to be short descriptions and attributes, but this is contradicting.
The more content you have on product description pages, the more opportunities you have to rank. With product page content, it's best to do keyword research first and add variations of the keyword you're trying to rank for. Hope this helps!
