- Watch Jeremiah Chiu’s Roland GAIA 2 performance and hear a range of iconic and modern sounds within this advanced synthesizer.
Discover a powerful hybrid engine that combines a wavetable oscillator and two virtual analog oscillators for unlimited sound creation possibilities. And jump right into bringing musical ideas to life thanks to the user-friendly front panel and intuitive workflow-no menu diving required. Ready to perform? Full-size keys provide exceptional playability, and using the sequencer and Motion Pad, you can create and alter complex sounds and phrases on the fly. Unique phase and shape modulation options are also available to distort waveforms and unleash cutting-edge textures with complex overtones.
GAIA 2 also supports Roland Cloud expansions. Using the dedicated button, easily swap between the built-in sound engine and classic Roland synthesizers like the JUPITER-8 or JUNO-106. The GAIA 2 workflow lets you reimagine vintage sounds with the front panel controls and put them to work with the sequencer.

I love my original Gaia, no other synth like it ever made. 64 voices, no menu, all surface control design of sound, and 3 of everything in layers. Nope, nothing like it at all. And the new Gaia2 is nothing like the Gaia at all either. The Gaia2 with higher quality sound, modulation galore, a great keybed, but now talks to us through a display, necessary for all the extras. A third oscillator with wavetables, and pro effects added makes this synth a valuable addition to my Gaia. It is a very rare day we get a digital synth with 24+ voices, full sized keys and all the physical features of sound design. Masters of the keyboard need lots of voices (polyphony) that analog has never provided.
Looks alot like a Minilogue. The form factor, that LED screen and anodized aluminum panel.
Très bonne analyse, c’est exactement cela ! Merci d’y mettre des mots clairs
Gaia evolved yaaaaay!
Good Update
Impressive sounds.
Vary cool design, Roland!
very good visual & perfomance!
Will be looking closely at this after getting my system 8 stolen last year ❤
Stolen?
Looks awesome and fantastic video
I prefer the Gaia 1 for it's peaking and bandpass filters, on board pitch and detune knobs, handle bender knob, and 4 envelopes for each osc all in a line. Plus the arp with 64 patterns on the fly and even the d-beam isn't half bad.
I actually like it.
Fantastique ! ❤️❤️❤️
Hey that actually looks very interesting! Proper knobby synth plus some new ideas 👍
Terrific 🔥💎🔥
If that cymatic inspired playing surface comes with it I'm in!
Sick!
🎉🎉🎉Wow looks like a great synthesizer🎉🎉🎉🎉, I think portability is a key feature these days, I just went to the beach (UK) today and took my groove box and ran it off a powerbank, looking out at the sea and creating sounds with my headphones is such a great pass time. The Gaia2 looks a very interesting synth, well done🎉🎉
Ty
I like the emotional pad 😋
Anyone remember Etch-a-Sketch. Making one as a modulation source is epic.
I do. When I was about 8 or 9, Danny Sapani, a quite a well known television and film actor now, kicked me in the head because I messed his picture up. We'd got on quite well prior to this incident. He obviously felt more passionately about Etch-a-Sketch than I'd previously thought. I was not a fan of the toy, (or him), after that. Having an Etch-a-Sketch inspired modulation source, though not entirely triggering, leaves me with mixed feelings.
Wonderful performance on a wonderful synth.
I was waiting System-X & Huge Fantom update after 1,5 years actually but what a good surprise… so we can expect from now for Fantom update at least new shimmer reverb + nzym expansion upgrade + lots of new things 😅
カッコ良い!
Legal, mas quando vocês vao lançar um piano acustico bom, esta muito a baixo das outras marcas, e a memoria de 250mb do fantom 0 nao vao aumentar?
YAAAAAAAY😍
What’s the surprise Roland.
And can I add drums from Zenology to the Gaia2?
It seems to be nice
The motional pad is a nice hommage to Fairlight CMI, for a very small fraction of the cost.
Can someone explain the cymatic display rather where to get on please
Sweet! 🤩 … so what does it do? #Roland #Gaia2 #DawlessArcade
Roland Rules
When’s the release date?
🙏😎
👀 the micro particles rattling on the table got me. I’ll take 10 please.
FIRST !! GAIA 2 !! 🤩
congratulations on the launch of a spectacular shilling campaign!
New bad gear episode incoming
😂
Those bad gears were not bad synths dude 😄
@@JulienJollyTomorrow is Friday😂😂😂
@@spectralknights2 I believe that is the joke 😉
He makes everything bad to have a show
No d-beam 😞
😂
🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡
Waiting for the 404MKII update but THIS IS REALLY amazing! I'm looking forwards!
Sounds great but not feeling the Korg Minilogue-like design.
After the Fantom failed promises I’m never buying a new Roland product ever again. The Fantom hasn’t had an update or bug fix for over one and a half years and has been dropped like a hot potato after only four year, with no interest or feedback from anyone at Roland for one and a half years of the four.
That isn't good at all. It's a shame.
Fantom EX upgrade?
3rd!
Hmmm sh4d or this??
Hydrasynth, Argon8, or Modwave, take your pick.
@@Jason75913 yes quite digging the Hydra
@@Jason75913 and all 3 cannot do what this can do, stay in your lane.
@@dankeplace wat
Do what?
@@dankeplacehahaha do what exactly 😂 tell us
Ok.
Cool layout. Cool features. Not bad looking. Sounds like crap. If you’re unfamiliar with synth nerds, sound is king. I still regularly program an OB Matrix 6r, because there are certain types of patches that I really like to use it for. I don’t care that its awful to program, because it can sound amazing.
This seems like a nice versatile board, for a performer that needs a lot of flexibility. In the studio though, this thing would be a door stop.
I’m just now discovering that the screen is terrible and even saving a preset is a navigation nightmare. The old Gia was much easier to use. This will probably go back which is a shame because it sounds great .😕👽
5th! 🤣
so the Q is, will you be getting one?
@@dankeplace To review? Highly unlikely. To add to my studio? The jury is out. I do really like the original Gaia, the four independent but simple synth voices is a very cool and uncommon idea.
@@TimShoebridge the price where I live is on parity with US/UK release, what it offers in sequencing is very attractive. The Motional Pad reminds me of the Vector synth type modulation, Ziv reported 13 seconds of recording, SS 20 secs.
What ever it is, I am really happy to be able to have something like this that gives me a great freedom of having some serious and easy programmable modulation manipulation.
I had a Polyend Play short listed, if this does MIDI out with the Motional PAD, it's now replaced the Play. The sequencer looks fun, it has all I need and can replace my KSP.
I haven't been that excited of recent Roland products, but this has piqued my interest.
For me SH-01 looks much better... this is korg without taste.
Now we wait to see if any real musician will spend time to master this instrument and make real music with it.
Be the change you wish to see (Ghandi) ;)
getting Timbre Wolf vibes ........
DO NOT BUY THESE !!!
NO Roland !!!
NO Korg !!!
NO Elektron !!!
OK Ableton Live daw
SAVE YOUR MONEY AH!
отвратительный звук
Nonsense.
a COMPLETELY new synth that is less than GAIA1... compliments..
