Great Tut...only drawback...you had the game preloaded on another screen...so you didn't show yourself using the file you described in the video as working.
Stillk ask for Steam. The Convergence mod only works with Steam version
is their an update on how to do this now with the shadow the eld tree DLC?

This isn't working for me, everytime I try to start a new character following the steps, none of the seamless coop items spawn properly, they're showing up with missing textures and I don't get all the essential items that I'm normally supposed to have when starting a convergence character
How would you go about adding more mods, especially ones that use ModEngine 2?

If you have a cracked game version, it could not work.
at 1:53. When i try to run "toggle_anti_cheat" it errors and tells me im missing a file named "start_protected_game" and closes out. The one you have it in your list there on the right.
every time i load it up it loads right up until the title screen and then crashes anyone got any advice ive tried nearly everything.
IMPORTANT: I forgot to mention in the video that you need to have your steam client open in order to launch the mod. Im unsure as to why exactly but it might help some of the people having problems.
Other common problems:
Opening the game with raytracing on - if you are eligible for raytracing try turning it off and see if it makes a difference.
Opening the game with other mods enabled - any mods that might add or change items or rebalance enemies might interfere with the mod and cause issues.
Loading old characters - ALWAYS backup your savegames just in case. Playing with old characters might cause issues as many items and spells have changed. I haven't tested it but i recommend starting a new character when playing this.
Make sure you and your friends are playing on the same version of convergence and seamless coop. The mods get updated automatically on the nexus and if one of you downloaded the one of the mods at a different time, you might have different mod version which will cause issues.
Lastly I recommend troubleshooting the individual mods as well, as the issues some of you are facing might not be the mods interfering with each other, but rather common issues with one of the mods that might already have been solved.
steam needs to be open bcz seamless coop checks if your elden ring is legitimate since developers dont want to encourage piracy.

I haven't tried this mod yet but just like if you want your original character in seamless mod you need to copy your character file into the seamless folder, i assume you need to copy your original convergence mod character into the seamless mod folder
have a problem, the anti cheat dont work, and cant start the game in online mode:/ something you can help with?

Whenever I launch the game via the convergence mod, it doesnt launch seemless coop along with it. any ideas on why?

@@wolfsolheim7057 I got it to work when I uninstalled all the mods and reinstalled them. I also followed a different video by JustAMeatbag that I understood more, so maybe that will help you
I was wondering if anyone else has the issue where only the top 8 or so classes have the seamless co-op items? only the classes up to Volcanist have the items, Volcanist and all below don't

So the game launches in seamless just fine but as soon as I try to change my class when making a new character, it immediately crashes to desktop. I even did a complete fresh install and still does it. Not sure how to fix it.

Great guide! But I don't believe that Anti-cheat toggle is needed as the Seamless coop already run's in a offline mode, so that anti-cheat does not interfere with it. I personally don't use it and it works fine with my friends
This is true. I just wanted to make sure as Elden Modloader recommends using toggle anticheat
i dont understand what im doing wrong, but everytime i launch the convergence mod i never get the seamless coop message nor does it say on the bottom right if im in seamless coop 1.5.1 while in the convergence mod. i did exactly what you said to do and made sure my mods are in the mod loader folder but it wont work with both. just one or the other
im having the same problem, they both work individually, but never together. I can either use the multiplayer one with no problems, or use the convergence mod. when i combine them both, i only have the base characters, and all the special items just say Icon on them. any idea?

@@jonohdskillzzz8885 looked into it, I think the majority of the problem is there was an elden ring update, so using both at the same time don't work too well

yeah it seems some classes don't have the items. Looking for a fix myself
@LeeBuddy I found out if you just quit to desktop then relaunch and make a character they always have it weird they don't just ways spawn with it but that's what worked for me,
Also the item will be in your inventory not your pouch

Does it work with a previous character?
Beat the game and thought about using that save to go NG+ with a friend in the Convergence mod
I do not believe that works - but a lot of the early progression is skipped in the Convergence so making a new character will not be as time consuming
the convergence elden ring seamless co op only works for some characters! So how can you open and close worlds on the other half of the characters?
just restart your game and the items will be given to you.

for some reason it looks like the .bat file can't resolve in my case. It opens up a prompt window saying 'C:\Users\[username]\Desktop\Convergence\ConvergenceER>.\modengine2_launcher.exe -t er -c .\config_eldenring.toml' and then the window closes again. Any idea why? Are the parameters incorrect or is modengine2 not loading properly?
Solved it by moving all the modengine 2 files into my base game folder

@@ryunotestified sure thing! What ended up helping was instead of putting the files from the convergence mod into a separate folder I moved them all into the base game folder of Elden Ring, so at this point my game-path for the .bat file is ‘F:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\ELDEN RING\Game\eldenring.exe’ using it like this made it work without issues along with the multiplayer mod. So run it from your basefolder and have the .bat file point there and it should work.

That sounds like an issue with Convergence. If you are still having issues i suggest looking at their discord channel for help, there is a link to it at the bottom of their mod page on nexusmods
@@Hjulben I managed to fix it by deleting my seamless coop save folder.(I had seamless coop before convergence)
@@aazz009942 I fixed it by turning off raytracing.
@@Axidentally0nPurpose turning off raytracing also stopped it from crashing again in the future.

This has been a helpful tutorial. I'd really like to do the same for my steam deck that runs the Linux SteamOS, but I can't figure out how to get the batch file to run. Fingers crossed for a linux tutorial from someone soon.
seamless coop has the anticheat disabled by default
