The explanation for the downgrade in sounds if anyone actually wants to know instead of whining: After FH2, the lead sound designer for PG and T10: Mike Caviezel, left for Polyphony Digital to work on the GT games. Along with this, the more recent FH games are really pushing the XB1 to its limits in terms of RAM. As such, PG had to dial back sounds in favor of things like textures. Hopefully FH games on the Series X won't have this headache.
I highly doubt RAM played really anything with this. Yes they likely were running low on memory but trading something that matters a lot for something that most people won't notice (a 5% reduction in texture quality at most) sounds very very dumb honestly and makes very little sense.
@ND7800 Yea then again most people are 100% fine with listening to 32Kbps MP3's on UA-cam...... so i'm sure they could just use the same 3 Engine sounds and get away with it for most people at this point lol.

The rain looked amazing in FH2. But then they downgraded in in FH3 and... sort of upgraded in 4??? But the rain only looks good in Autumn in FH4. I hope they bring back this kind of dark, gritty rain effect and go back to this graphic style. The colours were way more realistic in this game.

Forza horizon 2 was the best game I've ever played. In 2014 I saw the trailer for the first time and decided to get an Xbox One just for this game. Because it has the best map location (Southern France and Italy), a great car list, nice soundtrack and the best online community I've ever had. I can still remember good 2016 summer holidays where I played this game non stop with my friends.😂 I will never forget this game and all my friends.

Forza Horizon 2 was the peak. The driving physics were improved over the 1st to be more like Motorsport. You could overcorrect in Horizon 2, Horizon 4 took all the skill out of driving.

Honestly FH4 is a great game no doubt about that, but the lack of motorway, horrible car sounds and the terrible horizon life system just killed it for me. Jesus Christ this games raining effects and lightning are amazing. It doesnt look like its from 2014. When it rains you can see all drops of rain on your car and water drops reflections its just amazing. But that lightning damnn it looks incredible. When it rains and its sunset it looks the best.
I love this game. the only thing I hated was that when the sun set, the headlights wouldn't turn on in time and it was always extremely dark. I also think that the cosmetic damage was the best in this horizon. The map was fantastic, I re-downloaded the game a few months back and immediately fell in love with it. People stilll play online and the racing is just as fun.
The setting was just so good. Mountains, blue sea, nice seprent-roads. I know we already had this but if forza horizon 5 would be in a similair setting, i would not complain.
My fists Forza horizon was 1 and now I’m 14 the time flies by I remember I got a Bugatti EB 110 and I was going crazy playing with my friends absolutely amazing!
Wouldn't call this the best map, but it sure did have the most detailed map. Even the highway was realistic. It also felt so alive. The docks, the airport, the coastal routes. Loved the amount of tunnels and alleyways you'd find in industrial area's too. It did lack biomes though, which FH3 had a variety of, so the map does get a little boring and stale and a lot of the map was fenced off with no access. But I'll give credit for the more industrial area's and the festival.

I also think that the cosmetic damage was the best in this horizon. The map was fantastic, I re-downloaded the game a few months back and immediately fell in love with it. People stilll play online and the racing is just as fun.

The setting was just so good. Mountains, blue sea, nice seprent-roads. I know we already had this but if forza horizon 5 would be in a similair setting, i would not complain.

Wouldn't call this the best map, but it sure did have the most detailed map. Even the highway was realistic. It also felt so alive. The docks, the airport, the coastal routes. Loved the amount of tunnels and alleyways you'd find in industrial area's too. It did lack biomes though, which FH3 had a variety of, so the map does get a little boring and stale and a lot of the map was fenced off with no access. But I'll give credit for the more industrial area's and the festival.
You could go on almost all, if not every road in the game. The XB360 version has a lot closed off

FH4 has a bigger map, like 3 times the amount cars which have to be 3D scanned, more customization, new paint group options, the eliminator, super 7, 2 dlc maps which both are as big as the FH2 map, seasons, character customization and the list goes on.
