we need to very actively help our seniors with speaking and understanding english. this is the only way we can move forward as it is a heartbreaking truth that many youth fall out of the system and continue to speak their own languages and not master English.

Also he assimilates culturally unlike some expats, so I would say his ths kind of foreigner we gladly welcome and appreciate. Unless you can speak 4 languages and also want to work supermarket backend ?
He's extremely hard-working, speaks multiple languages and has a good working relationship with his colleagues, why would it be a problem. Most Singaporeans think they deserve a higher salary and an easier job anyway.
