Hey mr fix, I’ve done a few of the coding using OBDeleven pro, and now on infotainment screen, it says ‘vehicle status: function is currently not available’ do you know why and how to fix it?
I have no idea what you actually did but you can start with rebooting the system. Sometimes there are some glitches when performing changes in 5F unit.

Hi, thanks for the video. Nice to know it’s possible to be done. Which product on the site will enable this feature as I notice there are many products from Next Gen to Pro. Thank you !
On my mk7 sportwagen the light beside the reverse light also turns on when braking or signalling. Is there a way to turn that light off so it's just the upper "reverse L-shaped" lights (both inner and outer) that light up?
Hello my friend, can you tell me if this model can do the job? "Scanner Obd2 Bluetooth Elm327". I live in Brazil and I'll try to follow your tutorial to do this in my Golf. theoretically it's against the law, because the lights have the max luminuos intensity it can glow so they are over homologated values. Of course question is if some inspector will ever notice that :D
You are sure? Now inner bulbs are exactly as bright as the outer ones which are the same type. Setting dimmwert to 100% makes the control module to power the circuit with 12V (before it was lower for position lights) which is nominal for bulbs used over there.
@@mrfixpl the car can have luminosity SUM of all lights, e.g., left(100)+right(100)+top(200)=400. But you add more left(100)+right(100) and it gives total 600. (the numbers are example) you can test what happens when you have dipped beam, fog lights and turn on high beam - on many cars that turns off fog lights because the total SUM is over limit. I can't find the law now, but there is EU directives for light homologation. I think maybe VW does make the same light unit all over world, just uses different program settings for different countries (like scandinavian DRL ) etc.
@@electricwhirl5175 OK, now I get it. Thanks for clarifying. If you don't mind I have a followup question: is this luminosity sum the same for all vehicles in general or is it a dedicated value fot a specific car? Also could fix this issue by bringing down the dimmwert for all brake light functions. Will still use 5 lights but with lower luminosity hoping to stay within the homologation limit.
@@mrfixpl AFAIK that is common for EU homologation for all cars (or maybe types of cars, e.g., small cars, vans, trucks etc). As the car lamps have those letters with E4 and some numbers, by those you can try to search for this. In practical terms I don't think anyone in tecnical inspection station will measure that, that can be done only in certification centres. I remember I run into this issue when some 10 years ago I changed for Golf3 the front lights to aftermarket, added DRL and fog lights from Hella (on standard the car equipment didn't have it). So the tecnical inspection (Lotwa) inspector was like - ooo, noo, you have to much lights added, but I was like - yea, but these all are valid with E marks etc... then came other two inspectors, they were checking everything, afterwards drove my car off the line and I had to wait for half an hour till they came out with the book and started to check all the lamps and pointed out - the total SUM of all lights exceed the allowed limit... Of course It was my case, because I had added aftermarket lights. In your case inspector must be knowing that by default on Golf7 the car's don't come with 5 brake lights on, but just with 3. but in 99.99999999% they won't notice it :)
Thank you again. Very useful information. Sure, I don't think that anyone will ever perform car inspection at this level of precision. But still - if I can make it fully legal, I should try to. I think that I will bring down the dimmwert here slightly to decrease total brightness.
