The strange thing about Mike Tyson was that he was basically wholly reliant on Cus D’Amato. When Cus died, the animal that made Tyson the most dangerous man in the ring died with him.

Tyson was a genetic freak and born to put on the gloves. Obviously he had to work very hard to become the legend that he did but this man was born to be a fighter. The speed that he possessed in the power that he was able to generate while being that fast is incredible. That's not something you can develop with practice that's something that's just in your genetics. Everyone can get faster and stronger but it takes true freak genetics to be able to perform like he did.

Bruh… there is literally just no comparison here. Seriously… Mike Tyson in his prime was simply a monster that was on a whole other wavelength compared to nowadays fighters.
Tysons footwork was disturbing for a 15 year old. Thats footwork alone, you add in power, hunger, speed, and anger at this time in his life, and you have the youngest heavyweight world champ. I know people give flak for the competition he faced, but that doesnt take away from the fact that he was an absolute unit and one of the GOATS. My man was spinning like a bayblade in a circle with his feet while throwing combos that would shatter my sh*t up, and this is at 15...
The way Tyson punched so fast and hard looked like the force of his punches were dragging, sliding, floating him/pulling him forward (it’s hard to describe what it looks like) all I know is… that’s some damn power right there 😱😬🥶

The strange thing about Mike Tyson was that he was basically wholly reliant on Cus D’Amato. When Cus died, the animal that made Tyson the most dangerous man in the ring died with him.
And also He started hanging out with the wrong people, drugs, his ego got the best of him and the drive of being the best was lost. I really sad to me because I truly believe if he stayed focus on his craft I think he would of been untouchable and we would of seen more amazing fights.
