Dude, your flow is so good. You initially inspired me to start spinning double staff, here I am a year later, thinking I'm getting kinda good and you still manage to blow my mindddd when I come back to this video 💥

Loving the style! Loving the Flow! love the slowness of the intro.

I've been dancing with my staff for 3-4 years, but after viewing this (at least 10 times), I decided to progress onto doubles, love it!

Mm, fire is so beautiful. There's nothing like it. I do enjoy LED and its colorful vibrance ,but it can't touch the primal soulful beauty of living burning fire.

yeah, genki-kun is the most stylish doubler staffer i've seen so far in my (very) short fire-spinning career.... i'm so honored and grateful to be able to spin and learn with him and the rest of the tokyo fire kids!
    as for the music....
that's australian psytrance you're listening to!..... artist is Tetrameth ........ track is 'The Quickening' ........
best of luck finding it! : P
    peace!

I don't usually find double staff videos to be especially impressive, it seems like once you've seen a few great performances you've seen basically all there is to see. But this...? THIS is impressive. Very nicely done, you certainly represent your art well! And taking a look through your gallery, it seems you're keeping up the pattern of re-impressing me with double staff. Bravo!

  • @Renesh2

Try putting it up in a bun, or braid/french-braid it and then clip it up with one of those double-comb things. Or pull it back at the base of your head, twist it once or twice, then "fold" it up and pin it in place, then put the double-comb in. If your hair is especially long like mine, then you can fold it up, pin it, then twist and fold it back down and pin again. There are plenty of options to keep it out of the way.

  • @MerlinoKid

@RajaJayasinghe Not only does it vary spinner to spinner, sometimes people feel connected with their sets and do not wish to pass along their setup. It solely comes down to personal preference. Use what works best for you. I use 3.ft staves because they are short and able to be manipulated easier, but when I do contact staffing, I prefer to use a longer, heavier staff... as it rolls much easier.

where can i purchase some genki staff's? :)
are they just regular staff but due to their size they get that name?
I saw two double staff's for 50 euros and they are 1m. But i'm not sure what exactly a GENKI staff is ^^'

  • @StarfuryFlames
    @StarfuryFlames  14 років тому

@RajaJayasinghe ......... u might want to try chilling out just a bit =/ i don't think u "need" an answer, u just want one.
anyway, genki would be a demon with any pair of sticks u gave him.... but 3foot (900mm) is basically the standard double staff length that pretty much most double-staffers use..... wicks and weight r personal preference.....
    good luck.

i would like to get into double staff manipulation but i'm afraid i dont quite grasp the difference between me getting two 1m staffs or 1,2m ..i'm about 1,73m..what would you advise?
    Thank you :)
