Hi I’ve been playing for 2 years and I would say if you could rent it from your instructor first before Buying your first violin as I’m currently saving up for a 2000 basic student violin

@@ModelAviationGeekI got a 60 dollar one from Amazon lol while I practice and it’s a wonderful violin honestly. As a beginner I for sure recommend getting a cheap one just in case you don’t stick with it.

@@dejahjohnson1609 the problem with that is sometimes cheap violins ribs are off or the bridge isn’t in the right place so the tone of the instrument is not right also I have found unless you buy new strings the one that come with the violin are not very good so if you are going to. Continue using that violin I would recommend some nylon strings
