    I totally understand why you spent the money, really like the fact you are keeping it standard and giving it a new lease of life.

    • @johnmitchell2269
      @johnmitchell2269 2 роки тому +4

      It's not strictly standard as it has the Challenge Stradale exhaust, Challenge Stradale rear valance and Challenge Stradale ECU.

    • @geoffaries
      @geoffaries 2 роки тому +2

      The challenge rear grill is standard as it was a factory fit option, well it was on my 2004 car, but yes the exhaust is not a standard or factory fit option. Ferrari do now offer a new ICE head unit with a motorised screen.

    Totally worth it. People overlook the importance of the feel of the interior of the car. It really impacts the driving experience. The price is crazy but it's a Ferrari. Porsche prices aren't much better, and I've spent a lot of money on my 911 over the last ten years chasing the same 'perfection'.

      Porsche prices are certainly not much better but I don't think they have ever used the sh*ty soft touch coating that Ferrari or Maserati used, or have they?

    I really advise against a full respray. I recommend finding a good paint restoration guy that can paint and blend the damaged areas. Especially being in those wheel arches. Even if you have chips, a good restoration detail with touch up paint will be a huge improvement and still retain the factory paint. My .02

    As someone who has a very nice condition sports car from the '90s, I can tell you it's very important to do these types of things on a regular basis. When things wear out or get tired looking you need to replace or refurbish them. if you don't, within a few years the whole car starts to look tired and a bit neglected and it does affect your ownership of it. Things like chipped and scraped mag wheels are in your face every time you wash the car so you tend to do less cleaning and take less care because they are already a bit rough looking and cleaning won't really help. This of course means they slowly get even worse. It's a vicious cycle that just leads to needing a full or major restoration whereas a few bucks spent every month or two on the little things can keep it looking fresh and cool. This prompts you to be more careful when cleaning and driving it and so the car looks and drives better for longer.

    I love the 360 content! It feels like an actual person experiencing owning their dream car and sharing that experience with the viewers. I worked at a Ferrari dealership in high school. It was quite common for clients to bring in their older cars to have the buttons replaced. Now, yes, it's a lot of money for buttons. It kind of feels gross reaching for A/C controls in 110ºF Texas weather and the buttons feel like they had Coca Cola poured all over them. As the direct point of contact with your vehicle, it truly makes a difference. Glad to see you're enjoying the 360 Sam, look forward to the completed restoration.

    Sam, love the contact and passion for the 360. Bit of advise from someone who fully restored a few passion projects, IF you plan on using the car don't paint it unless its absolutely necessary. Because once its "perfect" you will never drive it in fear of a ding or paint chip or a million other thangs that happen when you use it. My advise is, drive it and enjoy the daylight out of this beautiful car!

    Brilliant video Sam, always enjoy seeing work being done to older cars, to help bring them back to factory fresh. Re. the head unit, I'd look into having the 'PORSCHE' inscription removed from a single DIN PCCM head unit so you have CarPlay. If you weren't fussed about CarPlay and were fine with just Bluetooth and DAB functionality, the Blaupunkt Bremen SQR 46 and Continental Automotive/VDO radios are good options. The only downside is that the lighting colour of the units may not match with the 360's (isn't the 360's green?) and I'm not sure how difficult it'd be to have the bulb colour changed in the head units. Keep up the great work!

      I doubt that Sam has another £4000 for full PPF at the moment

    Its quite easy to get a Bluetooth 12v receiver and connect it to a small amp (if your 360 does not have one). This will all hide away out of site and connect to your phone for music. Also look at adding a USB port for charging. Done this on a few classic cars and works well, with nothing to see but can even get your sat-nav voice over the speakers.

    I did this on my f430 expensive, but it totally changed the feel of the interior, better than new

    That looks really smart, 100% keep it looking like a Modena rather than a CS rep, love it!
