Can’t forget the Lighthouse Museum and Grounds! That’s a must for any history buff.
I`ll be there in December, thanks for the video, great info. I now have 7 destinations to visit, you have saved me time, as I now know where to find them.
Ice Plant should be included here! Has a lot of history, farm to table food, and craft cocktails. Best spot in town!
The Ice Plant is worth a stop. Tasty mixed drinks
Thank you for sharing the MLK history in St Augustine, I've visited St Augustine at least a half dozen times & this is the First I've heard This!
We went to Sarbez! today for lunch. It was great, and such a fun place.
That’s great Lori! Glad you liked it
Amazing filming. Top quality. Great narration voice too. This is top shelf production quality. Loved it. We have a house in Lincolnville and we’re so thrilled when we saw it in the video. We learned a lot from you too, and we’re locals! haha. Amazing job!!! 👏
Thank you!
All of your St. Augustine videos have me excited for our family vacation next month but this one even more so.
Have a good vacation!
Great mix of history and local eats! That was a great show!
Thanks!
My husband and I were at the Nat Cemetery there at Christmas after the line wreaths were placed. A moving and memorable visit smelling the pine with no snow.
Cool town. Lived here since 1990, and always finding new things.
Thank you for the video. Loved it!
I live in Kissimmee and LOVE LOVE LOVE going to St. Augustine-best city in America!! Thanks for the tips on these places-some I know and others I had no clue were there! Thanks again for the heads up!!
New to the channel.
Heading there today for a week.
Thanks for the tips and a very well done informative video!
Very informative video. Thanks Chad! : )
Thx!
I really enjoyed Sarbez. The food was good and the decor was so funky and unique.
Enjoyed this. Coming up in a few weeks and want to check a few of these out.
One of the few places in Florida I've never visted..ill add it to my really big bucket list.
Great video thanks!
very interesting, thank you!!
Great video! I really enjoy the way you guys film, it's so nice and relaxed. Doesn't make dizzy to watch your videos and I get the feeling that you both really take the time to take in the places you go to, not just rush through them.
I am from Tampa, but I've been in the workworkwork mentality for so long that I haven't really taken the time to explore my own backyard. I would love to see if you guys have any hidden gem recommendations for this area as well.
Bless you both and thank you for sharing your hard work with us!
Thanks Fran! We hope to be back in the Tampa area soon!!
Awesome place to be in St Augustine. Plenty to see and do.
I love his videos! It was a great guide to watch before we made our first trip to St. Augustine
So glad our guides helped before your first trip to St Augustine!
Been to St Augustine for 5 of the last seven years (lost last 2 due to covid). Love this town and didn't realize how much I wasn't seeing. Now need to plan the next family trip and dig a little deeper.
Those donuts looked amazing!
Great video. Thank you so much.
Thank u for watching!
Thank you so much for this video, I am here working and I’ll make sure to check those spots before I leave.
You’re welcome! Thx for watching!!!
Thanks for.the video. Gave us some great suggestions for our upcoming trip to the area. Looking forward to checking out some of the suggestions.
Thx James!
Thank you so much
Fantastic
Definitely gonna have to checkout that Sarbez place next time we're in the area. Looks awesome. Thanks for sharing.
For sure. I think you’ll enjoy Sarbez!
Def a kewl spot n the dude Ryan that owns it went to Flagler, so has a good feel for the area and the people.
Ps. Sarbez is Zebras spelled backwards👍🏽
Thanks for focusing on the rich history of St. Augustine and the civil rights movement and what took place there. Stayed at that Hilton, it is a little pricey and the rooms are small; there is a plaque in the area marking the spot at the pool where the famous picture was taken of the manager pouring the acid in the pool. This history so much more interesting than the pirate schlock that is being pushed there now. Also over the Bridge of Lions, try O'Steens (shrimp), The Conch House and Bar (bar right over water) and Gypsy Cab Company...
Thank you! Great tips. And I agree about the real history vs the “pirate schlock!!”
@@ChadGallivanter Why? There were plenty of pirates here. In fact, in the 1740s the governor commissioned every citizen to pirate the British colonies north of here as far as Boston.
awesomely done
Thx!
Yeah you forgot to tell them about going to the Taco shop on St George Street and get a UFO. You're welcome.
Thx!
Drunk + Taco Shop UFO's = Heaven
Burritoville is their official name I believe. They have one on st George st, one in st Augustine beach and one in Flagler beach
@@marakelley6832 us locals just call it taco shop. Everyone here calls it by that. It’s so smoky in there from the kitchen lol. You go in for 5 minutes and you smell like tacos all day.
Burrito works. Awesome!
OK THIS IS THE VIDEO EVERYONE NEEDS TO WATCH! St Aug is my fave city, I had no clue of many places shown here 🤎 THANK YOU THANK YOU! Do you recommend any good rest for dinner (seafood, meat?)
What are some of your favorite places to visit in St. Augustine? Comment them below! (I know...there's a ton!!!)
MOs def THE AMPITHEATRE!!! It’s AMAZING! It’s a green hands venue (mahalo Jack Johnson).
It literally backs up to Anastasia state park w a gate that connects both. Always a grate time to hit up a show with a camping BONUS!
There’s not a bad seat in the place✌🏼
The Alligator Farm!
We love the Alligator Farm also, and we LOVE to eat at Harry’s and a stop at Kernel Poppers is a must! :)
Sarbez is amazing. It’s partly why I always stay at Marker 8 when I’m town.
Excellent video and content! Let's try to keep the Blue Hen a secret though! ;)
Great and thanks for sharing about African American history in the city
Thanks for watching and commenting! We love spending time in Lincolnville
Very nice 👍
Thanks so much! We were going to go here last year and cancelled due to the virus so maybe this year.
This is very cool. Thank you for this video. I feel like when I watch these St Augustine videos on UA-cam ( to prepare for an upcoming trip there) it is all the same thing in every video. What a refreshing video, full of original and new places to go and try. Thanks very much. I look forward to visiting the Blue Hen Cafe. Any specific items we should order?
Thank you Iwona! That’s what we strive to do - show places others don’t or might not have thought of. I also have a video published about 2 years ago featuring 15 free things to do in St. Augustine, if you’re interested. Can never go wrong with King’s French Toast or Pumpkin Pancakes at Blue Hen!
Everything at the Blue Hen is amazing! Definitely don’t miss the mimosas and peach butter biscuits!
Great job, history and the foods ending with donuts.
Thanks Doug!
I’m new! Subscribed! Fully enjoyed that! I was going to start vlogging there this weekend but I think maybe you’ve got it covered! :)
That was fun. We're new around here . DEFF ✅ out some of these spots!
The dolphin watching boat tour from Florida Water Tours is awesome! They also do a sunset tour and a wine tasting tour. There is a bar and a restroom aboard the boat. We took the dolphin watching tour this past Sunday! Loved it!
Great tips!
I loved this tour. I decided it or some eco-tour should be a requirement for all state legislators.
I suspect these videos are a way to score free snacks. You are my hero.
We pay for everything you see featured in the videos. If for some reason we get something for free, we let the audience know.
Do a video on nearby Palm Coast. European Village (where you can also b&b), the oceanside resorts, the Marina, the giant saltwater canal system (with kayaking), Long Creek preserve, the farming museum, Bings Landing, and several of the free Flagler county beaches.
I have family that have lived in St. Augustine, Florida for a very long time! Now I live here myself, ha ha! I enjoyed your presentation of places to visit in the city! I was surprised that I had not heard of several of the places that you showcased in your video! I will see if I can visit these places I have not been to in the city yet! Thanks for sharing this!
Thank u for those kind words!
@@ChadGallivanter you are very welcome! 👍
Watching for an upcoming trip, currently living in St.Pete for college, you should make a trip/video for this area!
Will do! Thx!!
As a local, don’t forget everyone’s favorite coffee shop here which is the kookaburra and also don’t forget about visiting the only music store located in st.augustine which is 5th century music!
Music Matters is the best and oldest.
@@sb4040 I’m talking about instrument stores sorry I didn’t specify
My favorite place.
My wife and I have visited St. Augustine a couple of time. I'd love to see you do a video of Panama City, FL (and nearby areas like Lynn Haven, Parker, et al) and Panama City Beach. And also my "happy place" Mexico Beach, FL.
Go to the Beach and there is a good Seafood joint there fried Calamari that was the best > Right across from the Beach access with parking >
I’ve lived in St. Augustine majority of my life and Idt I’ve been to a single one of these places 😂
We watched this video before we went to St. Augustine and had a great trip! we made an original music video with the footage we got from the fort and other sites in this amazing historical city
Great City, lived there two years while in the U S Marine Corps.
There used to be a kickass grilled cheese place in the same area as fiction donuts and I miss it
Chad, we want to move there in 2-3yrs and your videos are driving me crazy....want to move out of NJ now!!! Great job, wishing you the best.
Thanks Glenn!
If you do move here, when you are in a voting booth, remember why you left.
@@garysteinert8040 No worries, plan on leaving it all behind...
@@glennkoenig6078 including ur Jersey driving skills please and thank u😂
People in FL can’t drive or vote either 🙄 ....and yes- I do live here
Lmfao me and my friends stumble drunk through these streets regularly (im a local)
Woo I live there
Haha 😂 how do you eat that pie😂
Been there stayed at THE KOA, cant begin to see everything in a week, but tried
Im thinking of moving there.
We came to visit just over a year ago and never went back home lol we love it here!
How could you leave out Spanish Main? One of the best museums in St Aug. Also the largest inventory of shipwreck treasure!!! Go see Darrell and Mark!!
We’re always making new St. Augustine videos. We’ll add it to a future list. Thanks for the tip!
Fiction donut shop is apparently permanently closed now 😔
Yes it is. I was very sad to see them go.
Wonderful area and video.
Question: What place do you (turn in) your mask after it has become contaminated? Local hospital or other?
Pensacola Florida was founded 6 years before St. Augustine.
You need to try out OC Wyatt's restaurant there Saint Augustine Florida is there Saint Augustine florida's cross from where the putt pad is it is great it is great seafood try it out🙂
What's the best hotel to get if you wanted to be walking distance to most of the attractions.?
Add South A Philly as the pinball machines actually work correctly.
how about the Pirate ship?
Can you advise if anyone knows if taxis are nearby when the late Greyhound bus arrives from Orlando ?
Might want to check with a company like Salty Seas Transportation.
SHOW US MORE OF YOUR CAT!!
Anything(input) about a Seqway tour?.... Friends of ours interested and wanted to make sure it would be worth it.....
There’s a place on King st. Downtown. Solans cycles I think.
I grew up here. Definitely not the same anymore.
I live in st Augustine
🚩🦅🚶🚴
🕊🇺🇲💕
As a saint augustine native, im really disappointed in this video! None of these places represent our city and no one I know have even been to these places. What about fort castillo de marcos?? The old jail?? Fountain of youth??? Flagler college? Lightner musuem?? Scarletts???
School for the deaf and blind? Cmon man
Here are some other videos of mine you might want to check out featuring many of the places you mentioned.

Literally every other St Aug to-do video has those things on the list. I for one (also as someone who lives here) enjoyed seeing a video that had different places on the list aside from all the other tourist traps. Some people like a taste off the beaten path after we’ve done the common things that are super obvious and can’t be missed lol
Did I mis MOJO's ?? I didn't see it. (hint hint)
Crowds of Tourists and homeless panhandlers sleeping on the sidewalks have ruined was a great place to visit.
I love street preaching
That's kinda messed up... Monuments for MLK but no monuments for the seminole who got slaughtered... The only chance they had was to ambush. They didn't have the defense or armory for anything else
Yeah you also forgot to tell them about all the drug addicts and homeless that the city won't take care of
Great city would recommend to all to visit but please liberals don't move here we don't want our history destroyed, homeless population, crime and our taxes to skyrocket. Thanks.
Place is loaded with homeless! U didn’t get the memo🤷♀️
Lived here my whole life. The homeless population is insane. Not only that there is alot of racism here. Don't act like this is a "great city"
@@alexbwja Lol typical comment that makes no sense why would you live somewhere your whole life and you hate it. If you ever decide to move out of such a terrible place you've lived you whole life give Baltimore, Chicago, New York, San Francisco, L.A, Portland, Seattle or Minnesota a try then you'd have a real reason to bitch.
Your a little late. I’m a liberal retired military veteran and settled there in 1998. Real estate and property taxes are going haywire. Homeless people are seasonal but thank god for st Francis house, homeless coalition and Salvation Army, along with 150 different churches that contribute to help improve the situation. Don’t like it? Go move to palm coast.
@@afmilret Wow me to, I'm shocked most military vets believe in the constitution and law and order therefore they are conservatives. Have a good night fellow vet.
Why do you have to bring politics into a travel video that shows some of the lesser known places
Is that question for me or someone else??
Sorry Not u, someone's comment
