Thank you for this video! I was panicking after trying to update to 2.01 and the update failed. Note - If using MacBook, make sure you leave the updater in the foreground during the update, don't try to do something else, and make sure you computer doesn't go to sleep then you should be good.

The most recent update seems to have sorted the issues but I’m still a bit wary. Fortunately I only use mine for fun at home and it does a great job. If I was gigging...I’m not sure how confident I would be...but gigging is far beyond my skill set anyway 😂
Thanks for the video. I just replaced my Floor Pod Plus with a Pod Go last week so I will keep this info handy. I'm into update 1.12 so fingers crossed. Since I use it for gigs and recording for my UA-cam channel (MK Sounds) I hope the new one serves me as well as the Floor Pod. That lasted 10 years without problems. Just updated to 2.0. This was helpful, but I could not go from 1.12 to 2.01. I tried multiple times, 2 different PC's and cables. What fixed the update was this instruction plus updating to 1.3 first. Then I went from 1.3 to 2.01 with fingers crossed and all seems good.
Thanks a lot, I was authorised service centre for Roland, Yamaha, Korg etc, and on some units, the updater included the boot loader; so if the update failed it was new main board time. Thankfully Line 6 have the boot loader in ROM!
I had a failed firmware update on a new line 6 pod go wireless unit (on its 2nd day of ownership) by the edit software and had the issue where the screen went red and unit failed to function. I contacted support and had great and quick help from them. I tried the steps they suggested which didn't initially work on my windows 10 pc but then did on another windows 10 laptop. By this point we'd tried all my USB ports, different usb cables, disconnecting my pc soundcard output and going offline with no anti-virus software running and turning off as many background processes as I could. Line 6 support had given up on it at this point and suggested I return the unit to the vendor. What worked: the basic instructions but on another computer. The steps were: uninstalling the edit software and drivers, reinstalling the edit software, downloading drivers and the updater software. Leave the edit software off until you're finished fixing the problem. Turn the unit on while holding down the page right button to get the white backlight reset screen on the unit, load the updater software so it recognises the unit, then selecting offline mode in the updater software and updating the firmware manually by selecting the downloaded firmware file. It kept giving me error messages early on during this process with my pc but on the laptop it updated the firmware the first time I tried. So try a different computer if yours fails at first!
Omg in almost 10 attempts it’s working😭😭😭 Tips for another poor souls who got frozen pod go trying 2.0update : after you managed to detect your pod go with line6 updater, Download 1.40(the one that you already got) first ! This is how I got at least normally functioning pod go. bit scared to update 2.0 again😅 +2.0 update successfully done!

I thought I bricked a $1800 Helix rack, but if you can turn it on you can factory reset. My pod go crashed in 1.1 firmware hasn't yet w/new firmware but what few presets I edited didn't get put back on pod go.

A minha pod go wireless congelou na tela seguinte.. não consigo tirar por nada, ela atualiza normalmente pelo uptade, porém quando reinicio a pedaleira continua travada
I cant remember...but the info is online somewhere although I do have an email somewhere if you get stuck...id have to dig it out. It was a case of holding a couple of the buttons down i think. Let me know if you get stuck and I'll dig it out.

I've just got a second hand Pod Go, it arrived with this problem. After trying your solution, I am still stuck with Line 6 updater failing every time. I've tried a different cable and a different computer, as well as trying to install different versions of the firmware, and using different iterations of Line 6 updater. Nothing has worked. Very annoying. Hopefully the eBay seller will give me a refund. :(

I'm having this issue, and as of right now I'm disgusted with the Line 6 software. I can't even get the damn Pod Go edit software to uninstall. Their software has failed every step along the way. Won't load IR's. Failed to update properly and now won't boot up. And I'm unable to uninstall the Pod Go Edit software! It fails again!
It didn't work for me, I got in touch with line 6 and they asked me to take it to an authorized dealer, but in my country they don't have it... I'm upset

So far 1.12 seems to be working well for me. Im only a home user and mainly its plugged into my computer but it seems to be working well now :-)

I have a different problem with POD GO. When turned on, the screen glows white. Everything else works. What could be the reason ?
