One to remember. Most Vets will take in stray dogs and scan for a chip (by law all dogs at least in the UK and NI must be chipped). The dog warden will collect from the practice.... And it'll cost the owners 80 pounds per dog fine for their dog(s) straying here in my area which is a better deterrent. Repeat offenders can lose their dog. People think they can just take in a dog, but dogs are property by law, the five days is to give the owners the time to get their dog. If they don't bother to collect the dog becomes the property of the council and they can re-home. The good news is, very few dogs are pts in NI or the ROI we've have so many fantastic rescues and sanctuaries. Anyway that was a textbook rescue and thank you for caring about the little beagle she's a beauty. The breed is known to escape and roam, scent dog, and its breeding teaches it to do this by instinct... So it could have come from further than the houses.... So you gave her the best chance to go home.
I can't thank you's enough. I was very embarrassed at the time. My head feels ok but my body feels like a old man. I cant sit up when I'm lying down on my bed. I'm having to slowly turn round and use my arm in order to push myself up. I'm taking a week of work on the sick so hopefully the pains will go away soon. As time has passed I realise just how lucky I was, considering the height that I fell back from. Other people have fallen from less heights and not survived. Wee Luna doing ok. She went with my brother and got to see the rest of the parade and I'm sure was eating lots of chips and burgers from the ground. When I got out of Hospital I got Luna but the parade was just finishing. I took a run over in the car to look at the bench where I fell and I hadn't long to wait before the local band parade that returns to the mem came past, so I seen a bit anyway. Thanks again for your help.
Thanks. I'm putting a sick line into my work for next week and asked them to cancel my holidays, so I'll be able to take my holidays later and finish the bedroom
Austell, glad you’re OK. An Accident can happen in such a simple situation. people will always help , that’s N.Ireland for sure. And lovely that your sending thanks with letters, utube is good too. Was it grass or cement you landed on. You’re good on the selfie video too. Get well soon.
It all concrete. My head hit the corner of a concrete slab and that's why the cut on my head was a V shape. When it was covered in blood the first aiders couldn't tell if it was one or two cuts. They then cleaned the cut up, put a badge on and cleaned the blood of my neck.
Austell, glad you are ok. Must have been a real shock to you and the system. People wiill always help in time of need. And Luna was in good hands. Please be careful in future.
My Brothers Brotherinlaw died around 8 years ago when he fell of a bar stool, so I'm so lucky I came off so lightly taken the distance that I had fallen
