Life lesson. It is best to be friends with a line drawn in between. Not only with friends, with anyone. Don't be too close and get hurt. Establish limits from the 1st time we get to know someone. So that they know not to cross their limits with us, interact with respect and not to take advantage or take us for granted. No matter who they are, they need to be reminded on the spot that " i don't like the way you behave or what you said, interfering into my personal matters, touching my things without my permission and so on". Show them that you are angry or unhappy with their behaviour. Never keep quiet with the intention not to hurt them or afraid of losing their relationship. When we give in toooooo much, we are not seen as someone who appreciates relationship but seen as someone can be used or taken for granted. Never lose ourself for the sake of unworthy relationships. These are thumb of rules for a life long healthy relationship without losing our self respect. I have learnt them. It looks petty, too fussy, demanding and calculative but if don't want to be taken for granted, then we have to apply them. Just said it out, if can say can. If cannot, say cannot. Be bold enough to say NO, don't say a YES just to please anyone and regret later. Actually if we do all these, it is difficult to become close. Close relationships don't really set rules. But it is okay than getting hurt by someone you have been close with. It is okay just to be normal friends forever than becoming tooooooo close and than breakup with hard feelings.
in the early seasons of friends and in the projects they were both doing right before friends i always think Courtney and Matt actually look a lot alike, like they could have been siblings.
