thank you for the video, it can't be underestimated the damage to Disney parks if Universal build the theme park in the UK as well I loved taking my children to disneyworld as they were brought up watching disney classics, the gender stuff they are obsessed will long tern kill the nostalgia as people stop watching disney films, so not looking good for short, medium or longterm, they have a huge vested interest in where people stay on their holidays, if less people go to the parks, chances are they are not staying on site with Disney, personally i think that is where the real damage will come from.
Crazy how people are mentioning nostalgia for disney, but in the future, its gonna be the other way around. The IP gathered by universal is unmatched and will allow new generations to make universal their nostalgic place. Having Nintendo and HTTYD IP and managing them correctly, unlike how Disney had managed Star Wars, is the key to their success. Disney cant even use nostalgia anymore, because its pricing out the people who have such nostalgia and miss the parks for the imaginative place they were not what they are becoming. Change is not discouraged, but when all of the changes are generally bad, its hard to support Disney anymore.
If Disney wasn't hell bent on destroying both Star Wars and Marvel, they could have created more rides and grown on both of these in a similar manner Harry Potter world at Universal. Tron is a waste of time waiting for. It's a 90 second ride which isn't any more exciting than the roller coasters at any theme park. Guardian's is okay, but for the content only. The actual ride isn't overly exciting. It sounds like they are ruining the content of Haunted Mansion, so way to go Disney.
I stopped going to Disney after being a pass holder for 2 years, and had a friend who wanted to check out Galaxies Edge. $175 for 1 day admission is not worth it when I can go to Universal and get 2 parks for a day with something to do inside them. I was not impressed.
I mean epic universe will be HUGE if not the best theme park in the world. But, that doesn’t take away the nostalgia fact to all adults and everyone. Everyone grew up going to Disney if we’re being real. Epic universe will effect later generations which won’t really impact Disney
I think Epic Universe will cannibalize the other Universal parks more than it will threaten Disney. Ultimately, Disney has a lot of problems systemic to how they design and build out attractions vs Universal. It takes them almost 3 times as long to do anything. I’m guessing we will hear a lot of plans at d23 that are revealed way too early to look strong against the Epic Universe opening.
@@darkridearts yeah generally when a new park opens attendance will drop at the other properties but it seems like Universal is going to have ticket packages which will force you to go to universal/Islands of adventure…like a 3 day package with 1 EPIC universe day attached. This will keep EPIC from overcrowding and the other parks from being empty. Might make a video on this actually haha. We really hope Disney can get it together here
Plans are already in place for IOA and Universal Studios improvements after Epic will open but also with plans for expansion in Dark Universe and Wizarding World.
Disney couldn't even follow through with the little Epcot upgrades. They'll hint at the moon and the sky and none if it will ever be seen. Disney is taking itself out regardless of Universal.
I know what should be Disney’s answer to epic universe, open a park that focuses on old long gone forgotten and extinct attractions rides and shows. Like the extraTERRORestrial alien encounter, or the tapestry of nations, or maelstrom, or the original journey into imagination
It’s also important to remember that Universal isn’t going to just take a long break after opening Epic Universe. They’re making improvements to their existing parks even as they’re building Epic, we could see Pokémon, Zelda, and/or LOTR lands sometime in the next few years (any of which could easily be a Harry Potter 2.0 moment), and they’ve just greenlit plans for another brand new park in Texas aimed at kids. So yeah, Disney is taking a risk by not responding. I can understand wanting to wait and see but if they don’t respond and they needed to they will be in trouble in the long run. Even if people only spend 2 or 3 days at Disney rather than 4 or 5 that’s still going to hurt Disney quite a bit.
They will move a big chunk of focus once epic universe is finished to universal studios great Britain, which has a 2030 opening date, but they will have four more amazing years in florida up to then
Yes exciting times for the UK, merlin haven't really had a challenger for a while, universal is right in-between Thorpe Park and Alton Towers, currently the top of the roost in the uk industry.
At least Universal is putting rides and experiences indoors, (A/C, seating, ECT.), not standing in the sun like Disney's new brand. Disney Corporate sucked massive profits out of the parks, their stock dropped and they gave bonuses to the executives and not profit dividends to the stock holders? Increased costs, hassles and decreased shows, rides and experiences for "Marks in the Parks". Magic express, gone, Marks in the Park can get their own transportation, and pay for parking everyday...no love and no magic. Up charges to profit off of line time increases (WYF) Punishing Marks in the Parks with longer lines unless they pay extra for lightening less lanes and live on your phone all day, yucky do do, on you Mark. I have seen outright lies on wait times, allot, dropping a load station, a train, a car to increase wait times...We need to sale those up charges. Major rides down at rope drop....sale those up charges. Not staffing rides...sale those upcharges. Good luck on eating without using your phone, you will be punished with increased wait times. Do you feel like a victim yet ? Some people have money to burn, but most do not. Some people already live on their phones, but is that a vacation? If Mommy and Daddy are grumpy the little ones are not very happy. Why rethink a Disney "Mark in the Park" get away? At least the lines to broken down and closed rides are shorter. WCDB
I think its funny that people keep saying Disney changed Splash Mountain for being racist yet they themed the new Tiana attraction after a salt mine which was a punishment for SLAVES
Disney still has a certain level of finesse and charm that is different from Universal's almost 1990s "In your face! WHAM! BANG!" aesthetic. That said, stop giggling so much. It takes away from what you say, which si interesting and fun. Every time you want to giggle, just stop yourself. You will get better retention. You'll see.
@@chrisfoxwell4128 Not fair. It was based on an ultra-offensive movie (about a guy who was super happy while being a slave!) and needed to be changed, and new version is very pretty.
@@chrisfoxwell4128 Who is "they"? There's no conspiracy here, I saw Song of the South, I also saw the new attraction, which is not my favorite at Disney by any means, but it's pretty good and more finessed and filled with subtleties than Universal attractions are, in my opinion.

Epic Universe looks cool but doesn’t have the broad appeal Disney already has in place. Guardians of the Galaxy is the best Roller Coaster ever IMO and Tron is awesome too. I love the original and live action Disney remakes. Aladdin, Beauty and Mermaid were amazing and huge success. I love all the parks but Disney is still my favorite because of all the music, characters and nostalgia 😎
Universal is boring and the effect wears off within 15 minutes. A lot of people are just jade anti-Disney because their politics is their personality. It's kind of sad.
I Love DISNEY PARKS Growing Up And I Still Am Now Currently And Why Does UNIVERSAL STUDIOS THEME PARKS Question To DISNEY THEME PARKS???

Disney turned Splash Mountain into Trash Mountain.
