i was driving to work that morning with my uncle when this came on Triple M live, n yep we were totally blown away n i think even Triple M suddenly realised that what seemed like a joke was about to turn into a goldmine.

This man never ceases to amaze me, i love his voice so much, legend.
I remember listening to this song at the time it was played on the radio on the way to work. Some time later, can't recall if it was the same day or days later Denton said that Neil's manager walked past the studio as he was singing and it stopped him in his tracks. He mentioned to Denton that in all his years with Finn he didn't realise just how good he was until that moment.
Yeah, and then he came back the following year and did Sexual Healing and blew everyone away all over again! What an amazing talent!

I remember the room I was in, getting ready for work, when I first heard this on the radio... I'm sure it was 2000 (not 2001). I've been telling people ever since how good it was... and thought I would never hear it again.
Never gets old - I remember hearing this song with a mate back in the day.............. he is a musical genius! Just a great cover!!!

Neil actually puts the intense emotional conflict across in the sheer power their gift has over those mesmerised by it and then to resist and be accused falsely must be mind blowing and distressing MJ got it out of his system this hit. MJ's more distant than Neil Finn.

wow, if i didn't know Neil's voice so well, and being a big Michael Jackson fan, i'd have said this was a joke! but it sounded like Neil Finn, and i looked up Andrew Denton's Musical Challenge. OMG it really IS Neil!! sadly, there are only two songs on that album (which is unavailable on amazon) that i'd listen to are this, and "Down Under". great cover, btw! being different than M.J.'s, i might like it a bit better (but maybe only cuz i have a crush on Mr. Finn lol ;-) )

Sucky song, not worthy of Neil. I'd rather hear him sing "Ben", if he's going to do a MJ song. Don Black's lyrics in Ben are genius. Singing to a rat, "I used to say, I'm am me. Now it's Us. Now it's We."
Pretty sure MJ wrote Ben, it was his 'pet' rat ie the rat that lived in their kitchen
