- The Flying Lawn Chair Squadron returns to their favorite flying location at Rushford, Minnesota. We experiment with a new video camera and multimedia format to make the video irresistible to you, our loyal viewers. A Steve Russell video.
That Red River Rock was my dads favorite song! RIP, Dad 11/24/2021.
He obviously had great choice in music. Thanks.
@@photoguy73 Aw, you’re welcome 😃
Ok then is the most beautiful piece of equipment I have seen yet
Fantastic aircraft, beautiful scenery and you seem very nice people.... I can tell that it's in your hearts to fly with nature....... i have spent most of my life flying in the form of parachuting then microlights then on to paramoters which didn't develop very well. Stay safe my friends and thanks for the brilliant video. (Mike. North East England. )
Thank you very much!
Great photography . Enjoyed your flight , Thank you.
Great vidio enjoyed it very much.
Great video! Thanks for sharing!
Curtis, I made the windshield myself. It is Lexan plastic and attached it to the tubes with a plastic clamp that I found while working as an A and P. A cushing clamp at an aircraft supply co. might have it in that size you need though my clamp was for a special use other than for what I use it now. It was used on 747's.
FYI, What sets your video miles apart from all the others, for me, is how it was filmed. The choice of camera angles is outstanding. Much more exciting than 'fixed position' views. I have been up, on 2 fly along flights and just can't get it out of my mind. Your video makes me feel like I'm right there. The music just caps the experience. I hope to see another video, made in the same manner. Thank you for this and your other videos. Ed
that was fantastic, all of it, thank you very much
Thanks for posting this awesome video. I love how the camera man can just move the camera around as long as he doesn't go straight back your Ok...LOL
I use to have a single seater but sold it now have an AirBike but after watching your video, I am thinking of getting a 2 seater PPC. Again , great video......
Great video.
Hey... I know those cool guys! Lookin’ good!
Really good expose on flying PPC. Let me know of your events next year if there is a possibility of a ride. Also, great advert for the GoPro camera!
Fired mine up today. It is getting to be that time of year.
No doubt about it, that's Minnesota music for sure...You betcheeeee..!
Thanks :) It looks nice. I have done only free wing flight and couple of motor flights but never a trike !!! I will look in to it !!! Thanks again !!
Absolutly my favorite video.
Silence is golden.
The Music on this video is GREAT!! Dyane Eddy, a 60's favorite, heard at allot of racetracks across america.
so wanting to fly a trike after watching these videos awsome video
Nice video
Thanks
beautifull, i know how it feels to fly a ppc. i enjoy it here down in Mexico.
GOD BLESS AND TAKE CARE . MANUEL.

The wing is controlled with steering lines connected to the left and right rear corners of the chute. Pushing on either steering bars with your feet pulls the line, pulling the corner of the chute down, increasing drag and causing the chute to turn in that direction. It is a type of wing warping like the Wright Brothers used on their first airplane. The chute is attached to the frame with heavy nylon straps.
Great! Glad you like it so much.
Ha! I now live in Seymour TN. But I grew up in Winona! Hunted Squirrels around Rushford for decades.
You'll be pleased to know there are still plenty of squirrels around Rushford.
@@photoguy73 I'm glad to hear it! A lot of young hunters still growing up. Enjoyed the video. Toying with buying a PPC. Thanks!
Thank you. Go for it! Low and slow.
We steer with our feet. Pushing on the right steering bar pulls in the right rear corner of the chute, increasing drag and causing a turn. Same with the left side. It's a type of wing warping just like the Wright Brothers used.
Photoguy73 can you tell me how do you set up the shute to the foot controls?
very cool! i believe if i do ever take the jump into flight it will be with a PPG rather than a PPC just for ease and simplicity.
Well done!

*Looking at getting into Powered parachutes!
Cool
Yup, very pretty area. Our squadron flies various machines.
Big bold and...exxxyyy dollarwise, but on my to obtain list. I do like the foot steering as I have limited use of my left arm raised above shoulder height...but what are you doing with your paws on the levers left and right???one (on the right I think ) is the throttle, but what has your left hand got hold of????
Cheers from Australia
I would like to know a little about the windsheild on the Blue PPC.. can that be bought from someone or was that home built...and how was it fastened to the tube? Thanks
Question! Where did Chris get his wind shield for his machine I need one, hoping you can point me the right direction! or website.. Curtis
5:05 ... hey, where did you get that wing? I like those colors and the pattern!
@sbflash311 You know, I believe you are right!! He looks like an aviation legend.
What brand of trike is that? I like.
Pleased you liked it, Ben.
how many hours of flight do you have?
The lever on the right is the throttle. The one on the left is for ground steering and has no function in the air. This machine has dual throttle and ground steering controls for instructional purposes. Some machines combine throttle and ground steering in one lever located in the middle, between your legs.
hey i was just wondering what intercom you use and if it works well ias i am having trouble finding one that can talk clearly to both pasenger and ground
Great video :) How you control the wing ? Is the wing attached to the frame? Thank's for sharing ;)
You control it with your feet ,the response is poor 60% easy to fly
Does this require a sport pilot license?
Beautiful terrain compared to Central Minnesota!
Great Video,Thx for sharing but one thing, change the music
PPG are cool, but having had some hard landings I don't like the idea of using my legs as landing gear.
Glad you liked it.
I grew up in Winona
@mxf7010g8k ^ i think the slow speed would also be cool too but i would be one of the only PPG in the area. at this point there are a few PPCers but is there any PPGers?
where can one find an enclosed trailer for ppc
danny l I'm retiring. You can buy my machine and my trailer.
es hermoso volar
They may take off, fly and land at 30 MPH but they can crash at a higher speed.
The music doesn’t really fit. Otherwise, very nice.
Everyone can fly
Couldn't take the music
Then don't listen! Real simple.
