The Blind Spot Monitoring System was an available option. Most of the GT Trim packages were originally Rental Vans and those companies opted to not get the Blind Spot Monitoring System. I Still have mine in 2023 and other than some wear on the Driver's Leather Seat and armrest it's running great with regular maintenance and a new set of tires. Love the Stow n' Go Feature of the seats. It would have been nice to see how easily the seats go down into the floor creating a cavernous cargo area capable of carrying 4'x8' sheets of drywall or plywood. I've done it and it takes less than five minutes to fold all of the seats into the floor and then another five minutes to put them all back up again. That is a huge feature that none of the competition has other than the sister van the Chrysler Town and Country. The Pentastar V6 provides plenty of power with 0 to 60 times coming around 7.2 seconds for me which was about the same as my Dodge Charger SXT similarly equipped with the Dodge 6 cylinder. It also handles, and rides very similar to my Charger so you're not slumming it when you need to convert over to a minivan when your family needs one for all of the extra stuff the children tend to need. It almost makes you forget you're driving a minivan... Almost.
Great video! I just bought a 2018 GT in white. I wish I could get the interior that the SXT has. I love this van, on my list was a Ferrari 308, Lotus Esprit, or a Dodge Grand Caravan and I went for the Dodge since I own an older Porsche. This is a vehicle I'll use the hell out of skywatching and finding more UFOS to record. With a Lotus or Ferrari those sit in the garage. It would be cool to somehow install the TV entertainment system.
Personally on my priority buy list is the Bugatti Veyron, Koenigsegg Jesko, and a 2006 dodge caravan with 450,000km. I'll go with the dodge caravan, those other two would just sit around collecting dust. I can use my dodge to pickup several larger variety prostitutes.
i just bought one get it tomorrow, but ive notices with my 2006 caravan that on the column shift kit had slippage issues im really hoping that the on dash column which i dont like either , but where else can ya put it. that was a question. probably in the center and kill one of those storage areas.
I'm thinking about a used ft model for business, I do sales and need to install flooring from time to time. Used with 35000 miles is 16000 bucks not bad for some nice features and a cargo area when you fold seats.
And why do the rear side doors and the rear hatch Door suddenly opens while driving...it must be that stupid plastic car key. is there a way to disable the electronics so the 3 rear side doors and the hatch dont opens while driving..what causes that...playing loud music on the stereo or some cellphone mismatch Signal Glitch Mix..?
Seems like an interesting van for families or things like that. It would be nice though if Dodge could put a column shifter on the right side of the steering column instead of putting the shifter in between the steering wheel and the radio. But other than that, not a bad vehicle.
The bad thing about this van like many other vehicles is you cannot check the transmission fluid. It does not have a dip stick, which I find kinda a silly. You have to go back to the dealership or a oil change facility to which they charge you. If you are going on a long trip you have to assume that the fluid is at the correct level, God forbid you have a problem on the road. My van was actually converted to be a handicap vehicle.Needless it is a SE model. And no apple car play.
Another base model with leather and ugly wheels branded GT ** wtf dodge atleast put the chrome package and running boards on it for the stupid price tag you put on this thing. My sxt has all these options on it for $10k cheaper lol
No one cares about all that irrelevant tech stuff you wasted too much time on. You actually talked more about what it didn't have (side sensors) than what it did have. Like stow and go seating and DVD players. There's a lot going on with that ceiling mounted entertainment and climate controls that you ignored. What a waste of time.

I think it’s a manufacture issue and they can help you with that. I would suggest calling dodge service and they have more information on that.
Do all GT styles come with rear DVD? I want to know which one does because I really want an affordable minivan with the dvd

The biggest thing is the AWD is what GT caught my eye for. I agree with you thou that for that type of money they should of done more.
