- Danny threw the Warship on all sorts of lines for this review of the far flying midrange. This disc has some serious glide with easy distance and a straight flight!
This is my mid-range disc and he's right- it flies super straight with a lot of hang time. I play recreationally and this is my go-to disc for a lot of medium drives in open fairways because it is so straight and goes where you aim it. Westside makes great discs.

I personally use a Warship for intermediate tunnel shot approaches, or long range turn over putts (~75”-125”). I think of those like they were a spike anhyzers; something that will only land flat at best, and not land with any fade. I attempt these shots with BUZZZs and Prodigy M4s as well but not having any turn on a Warship allows me to make such a turn over a little more aggressively that I just can’t with those other two.
It was a rainy and cold day when I lost my first BT warship. I threw it in some ditch and never found it. Soo I had to buy VIP version of it because that BT was really beaten. Absolutely my fav midrange disc.
Just picked one up at random and WOW! Love it. However, I have to get another one in a different plastic (mine is in Origio). I hit a tree 100' out, and it looked like it got clamped in a vice and smashed with a hammer. I've never seen deformation like that before. I sort of bent it back into shape but it's pretty understable after that. This is an excellent woods disc, but if you play in woods get this in a different plastic.
Warship is my go to woods disc! Sooooo straight!
I bag 2 of these just in case, this thing is deadly inside 200ft for me. Absolutely my favorite disc for a straight shot
Danny, I'm sad to say someone stole my Tursas.
It truly was my go-to disc for all the forests I have to throw through. Would it be possible to re-review the Tursas, in honor of my custom dyed lovely which someone jacked?!
I loved how it used to flip to flat so nicely and with a little finesse, still finish where I wanted it to.
Don't have the means to aquire a warship (or a new Tursas) at the moment but it also looks like a really superb mid/fairway, clearly why it's a lot of people's choice for straight shots.

@@matthatter427 over a year later, I've found new pastures to graze in and attempting to utilize different molds and companies to fill spots I have in my bag. I very much appreciate the shout out though. I keep an even closer eye on my shots since then. The unfortunate truth is though, some people are thieves, even as recent as 2 weeks ago had someone take a disc from a cardmates actual bag. He realized it a few holes later and it was never seen again. Hard times when people act these ways, I suppose.

Just got a Warship as part of the Trilogy challenge set... Wow. Bought s second one to compliment it right after the tournament. It is going right into my bag. This disc is amazing!
Yo! I’m in a trilogy challenge this weekend. I rely pretty heavily on my forehand and I’m worried the sapphire will be too understable. Were you able to forehand the warship well?
Everyone in my group kept claiming that the Sapphire was so "flippy" but I never watched saw anyone flip it up from a hyzer release. I forehanded the Sapphire 3 times, though on pretty short holes. I released flat and it held straight until its end of flight fade, was not thrown full power though. The Warship was great forehand for me. Hyzer release, flip to flat, slight turn, before fading back. I threw the Warship off the tee 12/20 holes in our troliogy challenge. 3 with the Sapphire, 3 with the Emac Judge.
@@discgolflists thanks for the info! My natural release is hyzer so I’m sure I’ll be fine. Did you ever max distance that warship? Im wondering how far I could throw it on that hyzer flip line
I don’t have a huge arm by any means. But I have hyzer flipped it 280-290ish. It has tons of speed and glide. Reminds me of a Buzzz or Chariot in that way.

A favorite disc and my work horse for sure .....one of the best discs Westside has put out, that's for sure.
Have loved the Warship for a long time now. The Pine took it out of my main bag, but I still have my to Warship. Everytime I take it out for field work, I still grip the L💕ve
I'd love to have one of those VIP-X ones!
Thanks for what you do, Danny, and please do a review on the Pine. I think it gets overlooked among the straight flyers. More stable than an EMAC or Mace, more accurate distance control, IMHO
Interesting. The pine is my MAIN mid. I got the warhorse because i have having issues with my mako3 turning way too much. So i got it to replace it.
Why were they calling it a speed 6, when it's only a 14mm rim width?
This must be that same company that's calling the 8 speed glide 4 River, a 7 speed glide 7 disc - not sure if all that is intentional or if they take psychedelics when they come up with their numbers.
Warship is very much underrated disc … super straight and hold every line u throw … I use it for tumne shots and anhyzer shots …
Crazy how the warships changed over the years. Started as a 6/5/0/1. Then it went to 5/5/0/1. Now you can only buy it as a 5/6/0/1 unless you get it out of a bundle amazon. Then you can still get the 5/5/0/1
I'm a beginner and I have 11 different discs. The Warship (Origio Burst) is the most reliable, best flying disc for me. I throw forehand only for distance. My forehand is about like Danny's and I barely even just started throwing. Surrounding it in my bag are the Dynamic Discs Escape (Fusion Burst) and Latitude 64 Compass (Gold Line). They're good too, but just a little off the sweet spot that the Warship is sitting on. In my opinion.
At Dynamic Discs numbers are now "SPEED: 5 GLIDE: 6 TURN: 0 FADE: 1"?
5 months in, still no Northman review. I'll keep waiting! Northman was my first disc and I lost it 3 times. Now I have a King - max distance over 9000. 😅
I found one at a course and I threw it as a warm up and it’s distance for a mid is impressive

Why is it when I put some power on the warship it will go really far to the right i mean it will go straight for a very long time and then go right heavy
Just bought one as a overstable compliment to My midrange game, so i bag a warship, Opto fuse and a harp (yes it's a putter but i use it as a midrange)
Try the Bard! A great disc for a longer Harp shot with more glide. A beat in Bard is a thing of beauty. Super reliable, nice distance, and fun to throw.

I have a Warship in my hand as I write this and now I'm wondering if my disc was a misprint or was yours a misprint because I've looked for a westside disc at 6 speed and couldn't find one on there site my warship says 5 speed with 6 as the glide your says speed 6 glide 5 which won is the correct disc please answer me cuz now I'm confused!!🤔🤔🤔🤔
Last night I found a Warship (unmarked) and it is also 5 speed, 6 glide like yours. But it's weird, I just googled it and results came up for Warships with flight numbers 5/6/0/1, 6/5/0/1 and even 5/5/0/1. I've never seen something like this before!

Ok I’m a bit confused because I have three warships and two of them have a speed of 5 with glide of 6 and the other is speed of 6 with glide of 5?..
Those with speed five, glide 6 are older, as told to me by the staff at Dynamic Discs... The newer runs of discs have the correct numbers... Although, this disc does have a ton of glide, it seems to warrant the number 6 as glide... Learn the flight, and forget the numbers, they are only a guideline or suggestion as to the disc's characteristics.

Yes, the Warship is a great disc... I throw it too... Really hard to beat that Trilogy line, Westside, Latitude 64 and Dynamic Discs. My bag is 85% Trilogy discs..

I've been playing for several years now and to be quite honest with you I believe that the Westside discs is where my home is I played with innova discraft latitude 64 I've even tried MVP I really like Westside discs the first Westside this guy ever tried with a queen and the queen is money now I throw a lot of midranges putters and not so much super duper maximum distance drivers but I do have a destiny in my bag I'm in the process of converting over to Westside discs so if you could give me a list from distance drivers fairways mids putters I would absolutely be much obliged as of now I have a sorcerer a destiny a warshipI use every disk that I have for the Westside currently and I don't necessarily deviate from the the Westside brand however I do have a DGA bonsai that I use for overstable shorter than long shots . give mw pointers please. i dont have a strong forehand thx guys . danny your awesome keep up the good work . i enjoy your knowledge you bring to the table brotha
Try a lightweight Tournament plastic Longbowman. Reliable fairway disc for stable to overstable shots! Also, the Hatchet is a great disc for lower power players, or tailwind crushes.
next disc longbowman. the sword is great i picked up one . i got the anvil but holy crap stable as hell. i got the pine which is long. and fades nice but i need slightly less distance then pine but same stability. any suggestions?. so far my Westside collection goes as follows world ,catapult, destiny, sorcerer, sword, queen, northman, stag, swan, swan reborn, anvil, pine, warship, and turrasis
Well, there are many different styles to the game, and I build my bag around four molds (Giant, Spark, Bard, and Judge in different plastics and stages of wear). I do have molds that compliment each, but I achieve most shots by powering down or up on one of these discs. I highly recommend grabbing a Shield, Maiden, Crown, or any stable putter that feels good in your hands, and learn how to throw it 250-300 feet straight, hyzer and anhyzer on a backhand. Then when your mids are too long, you can disc down to a putter! Just my thoughts.
agreed. i have other discs but i am building a exclusive Westside discs bag so im limited. sick broski i got the power to beam putters 3 hundo but i like using discs for what they are designed for. and then ill eventually test their other shots .i.e tricknshots and different approaches
