I just wanna say that conceptually, i love the idea of a preset only ac6 tourney so much. Makes it almost feel like a fighting game

For the allegiance one I think that the 3v3 format would be brilliant to see how teams are composed, and it would be interesting to see if a PCA team would compete and what kind of builds they would run.

I did not expect Armored Core 6 to have such a vibrant tournament scene. I hope Fromsoft supports this and continues for many years similar to fighting games like Tekken and Street Fighter. This is certainly something different.
Just realized that Gunlei is using the ACES faction emblem from Titanfall 2
So, he’s probably used to the peek around and unload strat used by Northstar and Tone.
Or, i’m overthinking it and he thinks it’s a nice emblem.
I've been playing the presets on my own channel (PvE only however) and I'm surprised at how few people were aware of just how good the SHINOBI is - the plasma thrower really is one of the best stagger punishes in the game. Love to see the DEEP DOWN represented, it's a great mid/long-range threat. One preset I would advise to keep an eye on is the INFECTION; it may not have a Core Expansion, but the damage of its weapons thanks to the VE-20C generator is completely crazy.

Thank you for all you do for the AC6 community. Like many others in your neck of the woods, I've adored the AC franchise for almost 15 years and I hugely appreciate you giving us a reason to not only keep the game alive, but also pioneer its future. Preset tournament is a super cool idea and I'd love to see more of them!
Also...I will say (and this is nothing on you), the more AC6 PvP I watch, the more I wish that spectator mode would show the EN bar of each player--energy state is such a vitally important part of understanding each player's decision making.

Dudeee. Just the other day I was thinking about trying to get a preset only lobby going. This is super cool. I love playing around with those. One of my favorites is rokumans Shinobu. Its fun sometimes to not put a bunch of thought into a build and just grab one of those and play with it
Parts need a points value, and there can be points limit builds. This would make the game so different where you would have one trick pony's all in on one weapon, or blended builds with good all around coverage, offensive builds and defensive builds.
So recently I found this UA-camr called Plasma Son (less than 1k subs) who is currently working on making every TF2 Merc in AC6, he’s about halfway through so far but I would love to see a tournament based on his builds when he’s done them all.
I don't normally watch torneys of any of the games I play but the first few matches really caught my attention seeing how well people can pilot these builds! I wish I was talented at AC6 PvP, it seems super fun :/
You can always get better homie! The game is incredibly fun and I hope you stick with it
If you can get all 3 endings of the campaign you're already better than half the people you'll find in PvP. Learning to dodge opposite the direction you're moving puts you probably in the top 25%. If you put the effort and research in, you can get really good with the more niche strategies.

@@strikerhutassa There's only *so* much better you can get when you're getting hit by invisible bazooka/grenade shells, invisible coral weapon charge attacks / stanced weapons that take advantage of latency by giving either a late or no warning at all,, bullets that miss on your screen but seem to always hit for your opponent, and missile spam from keepaway permaflight heavies.

How am I only just now finding out about this? I would have loved to join! To be fair, my schedule and platform probably would have made that impossible, but I feel I could have done well seeing as tsubasa is scarily close to my usual pvp build (mine obviously being quite a bit more optimized, but still).

I kinda wish there were more diverse picks. Are most npc builds really that bad?
Unfortunately yes. As the featured pilot of steel haze, I originally thought Ortus might be good but it loses to most other builds due to its terminal armor. Most of the top builds use pulse armor or assault armor, and since Ortus uses slicer for stagger punish- it gets interrupted by either PA or AA and since you are on terminal armor, you can't do anything to stop it or counter it
No worse than META builds.
Ramen vs Etheox rematch is absolute peak. It just cannot get more legendary then this.
The server made presets would be sick. Set rules to what can be submitted vote on the top 10ish builds then give folks time to practice with the builds. It would be super fun.

Wow this is such a good idea, a preset only tournament. What would be crazier is to do a tournament where everyone had to use the same exact AC. I wonder who would come out on top!
I usually make my builds with one rule and it's to essentially match the preset ideas. I noticed most have a weapon for suppressive fire, a melee weapon, missiles, and then a "heavy weapon" like a rocket or laser cannon. There's obviously some exceptions to this like Cinder Carla or Volta, but they balanced in other ways and they don't have excessive IPS (Impact Per Second). Essentially, any preset matchup should be more balanced which IMO makes for more fun fights. Unfortunately, playing like this puts you at a disadvantage a lot of times.

Umber Ox probably has that long-range fcs so she can shoot you while you're fighting King or Nightfall Raven, and for the lore, I feel like they purposefully nerf every npc build for the lore/aesthetic
all the Pulse Protection rep in this tournament made me want to try it out on my strider build (its parts vaguely resemble Michigan, so I thought of adding Pulse Protection to round out that aspect)
honestly it works pretty well for a brawling strider. it's interesting to weave in & out of it, makes the more antsy pilots feel very confused.
I still get bullied by kicks though. They know. D:
(I still think I'd personally rate it above Assault Armor in PVP though. I only really find AA useful for punishing greedy melee combos like laser slicer.)

Fun fact, there is no preset for Jailbreak, however, i do have a full mostly faithful (aside from there being an assault armor on it, og does not have that) build with mostly accurate coloring (had to do it by eye on console, NOT easy, so there could be some wrong colors on there by a subtle difference) on playstation network, gimme a moment to get the share code, and I do have some sheets for the colors for each part, but putting all of that in takes alot of time and can be a bit dizzying

For an invitational gimmick tournament, I suggest taking a cue from Honda's Horrible Hootenanny and force people to run dual zimms dual songbirds. Everything else can be whatever but you're only allowed to use Songbirds and Zimms
