i crocheted my ghost costume this year! i know it's basic but it was really fun to make and it's really fun to wear and twirl in. only downside is that it took three one pound skeins to make.
This turned out so good! I'm crocheting a giant spiderweb sweater and writing stuff like "I love the opera" and "no, that hat looks awesome on you" and sticking it to the sweater, so I can be a Web of Lies.

Love the costume! I think that, because fungal growth is natural, it can grow in any way, so if clickers were real, this would be a real option! The thing that you may be getting the off feeling from, is that you have the fungi horizontally, when the references are vertical, kind of similar to a female anatomy.... but this is so fun!
Based off of the pictures and thumbnails I saw when it came out, I thought it went around your entire head (almost like a ski mask). Now that I watched the vid, I am honestly kind of shocked it was all just on a mask template!! You killed it! Loved seeing your creative process ✨
This turned out amazing! I think with a thinner yarn you could’ve manipulated the fungus more to get more folds and such. But yeah it came out amazing!! Also for future gluing: sand your base, scrub it with rubbing alcohol and go about gluing. Should help with the grip. Or if you have more time, do the sanding and then glue with e6000. (Though test your yarn to make sure the chemicals in the glue won’t melt it.) You did amazing!

Last time I crocheted a Halloween costume, my 4th & 7th grade sons wore black turtleneck shirts and pants with black hats. I crocheted their spiderweb to their arms, and attached black yarn to black poster board on their backs. When they lifted their arms the web would move but the bowler hats made them look cute. The black eye masks were adorable and the black yarn made their movements look creepy!
I’m crocheting a bald balaclava with a goatee to be Walter White for Halloween and it’s very fun to figure out exactly how to do it, I’ll have sunglasses in the balaclava hole for the eyes and a black hat to complete the head look!
