When mothers don't like their child's spouse, it is because they imagine themselves with that person! If they can't see themself with them, THEN THEY ABSOLUTELY WOULDN'T WONT THEIR PRECIOUS CHILD with the said person. Children listen to your parents when they say He/She isn't the right person for you!

Never had anything going for him in life, not surprised at all he ended up where he is now.... It's easy to judge, and what you say is of course good advice, but for those who haven't experienced it, it's hard to conceive of the mindset of a woman being stalked by a former lover. She gets maddeningly desperate to end it, and when the stalker offers what seems like a potential way to bargain her way out of it, she'll try anything to make that happen.

I come from a family of nurses but my cousin who worked in the ICU had the worst stories. She spoke of one woman, 23 years old, had multiple visits and they got to know her and understood why it was so hard for her to leave but still they all tried to help and warned her. Every time she came in injuries got worse and worse. I won’t describe because it haunts me. Less than a year later on an unrelated case a cop who knew her and was there with the nurses informed them she was found dead. They’ve got to be scarred for life. I’m sure her babies will be too.. I’ve been very cautious and able to see signs of a potential abuser. I know nurses are tough as nails but some things really get to you and I hope you have an amazing support system and a good work life balance and I hope you have the most wonderful life. I thank every nurse I meet because I’ve seen how you can be treated just trying to help people. Thank you for what you do❤❤❤

First of all Marilyn 100% pointed the finger at him for the crime. Second, a plastic surgeon is an expert witness who knows the difference between a dog attack and a knife wound. A dog attack would crate jagged tears in the skin. A knife cut would be a clean slice. A normal individual with common sense would know that.
He is such a disgusting piece of trash. He committed a crime, blamed a dog, disfigured and almost killed her on purpose yet based is defense solely on the fact the incident was so traumatic that Marilyn couldn't remember everything.
However, the judge and jury saw what he did and that says it all. Maybe he will have a new boyfriend in prison who will be extremely jealous and abusive towards him. We can only hope.

As far as I know, a piece of paper has never stopped a knife strike or a flying hot bullet.
Restraining orders aren't worth the paper they're printed on.
From what I have come to understand , very bad people don't give a rat's patoot about a restraining order... it just pisses them off even more!
Choose something that has great stopping (the bad person) power and then practice like your life depends on it... it very well could.

'justice system' is completely broken in America, it's hard to watch, it literally entices someone like him to do it, and he was already a career crimnal wife beater before, torturing someone for two hours, leaving extreme permanent disfigurement, and pretty much murdering someone who ended up living by random chance, when she easily could have bled to death, not to mention how he was harassing and stalking her visciously before, essentially tricked her into meeting him, had this all planned, showed zero remorse, is a 100% sadistic sociopath who won't evr change if he went on to live a thousand years, and all that pathetic american 'justice system' can give to someone like that is 20 years, he's young enough to finish his sentence, get out of jail, have more women, have more offspring who will inherit his sociopathic sadistic tendencies, and murder and disfigure more women

Ppl who grow up in a stable home have absolutely no knowledge about abuse. Never forgive or allow yourself to endure a second attack of any kind. It's a matter of time before it escalates to a higher degree. If you like living, get out after the 1st attack. Stay safe, and remember this advice goes for men also. Women abuse, too.

And they don't stop terrorizing you. For days.
Your not afraid for yourself. You are afraid for your family, friends, your landlord the hotel clerk where your hiding. Your terrified they're going to kill innocent people. Because they have before and they are always saying it's all your fault. You've seen their brutality first hand. Seen they seem to be untouched by consequences and so you go. You go meet them or allow them over. Your know you can't live with the fact some random person walking by or fellow employees will be killed because you were such a piece of crap that didn't meet them so you sacrifice yourself. I think on this everyday all day for 3 years. I was at my camper on the lake. My beautiful sister allowed me to park it on her property. He came and the terrorizing began. He was breaking all my things that didn't work so he started threatening our 2 dogs I got lose of him ran to my sister's. It took a few minutes before he showed up. He wanted me to go back down to camper. He had doused it in gasoline. I was completely unaware. I refused so He unloaded his clip still terrorizing then he shot her in the head. Told me it was my fault then killed himself. My sister lived. She has TBI. She has no eyes. She is struggling and is in the dark. I knew something like this would eventually happen. I wish I had a better story. I wish her and I had some amazing comeback story. I wish I would have just walker back down to my camper so he could have burnt me up. There was no chance to not meet him. I had tried so many times. I was over 2 hours from my home at my camper. He followed. He always did. I pray for this girl. I pray for her self talk and spirit. I pray to come up from this and I especially pray for my sister. It's not just hard. It is impossible

I had watched a show called rescue 911 and remembered something. I got one of our sandwiches, took it out of the ziploc bag and picked up his skin, put it in the bag and put it in the ice chest. We raced to the er over an hour away. We got pulled over at one point, the cop looked inside the car, said oh shit, follow me and he escorted us at high speeds to the er. Theg were actually able to use the skin in reconstructing his face. My brother is now 38 and you can barely tell, I mean it’s obvious he has scars but considering what happened, he looks great.
