This animatic actually shows that despite the fact that Tommy's the protagonist everything was much tougher on Wilbur. His wife left him, one of his earliest friends betrayed him, he was banished from the smp, overthrown and banished from his own country and betrayed by his son (well that's what he possibly thinks as a character). Wouldn't be surprised if this eventualy makes him snap and turn into the third main antagonist of the smp after Schlatt's taken care off.

When I made this comment there were a lot of people that thought that this song just fit by crazy coincidence, and some thought that this channel was the one singing it. What I meant is that I wish it was more obvious so that those viewers could give Beetlebug the attention deserved. When I made this comment this video also had around double the views as the original, and it looked like this one would go viral while the other one would remain much more undiscovered, although that has proven to not be true. I don't mean to criticize the channel with my comment, I was just expressing the fact that I wished it had been more explicit about the song because it's something so well-done and unique, and it bothered me that so many people seemed to be watching this viewing it as the more official Ode to L'Manburg and had no idea about the original song or it's creator. Alright, funny story: I was watching this video because I just can't get enough of it when my mom called for me. So I paused the video at 1:03 and went downstairs. My mom smiled and reached out her hand, "Happy birthday sweetie." And she pulled me into a hug, wishing me the best for my 16th birthday. She did what she always did for the past 16 years but this year is special, and not because I can't throw a party or whatever, we never had one ever since I was 8. It was funny because just recently I have been feeling stressed out that maybe I'm not enough, that what I'm doing right now isn't enough to make anybody happy. I was just feeling like shit, and just overthinking things. So to hear my mom as she hugged me, wishing me all the best, hoping that I'll become a better person than I was from yesterday, and asking what I'd like to eat just hits.. different. To her, it doesn't really matter what I do, as long as I'm doing the right thing and tried my best. She would only ever be disappointed in me if I ever quit before trying because she knows the most compared to any person, how much potential I hold. It really was nothing special, but when she hugged me I can feel my eyes starting to get hot, I didn't cry in her arms, but my nose definitely got redder. I walked into the bathroom, locked the door, and chuckled as I wiped the tears away. I was being silly. I focused too much on my troubles and completely forgot to feel grateful for what I have. Not everyone can have such a caring mother. So I kept wiping away while laughing softly, washed my face, and left the bathroom. I sat back here in front of my laptop, where the video is still paused on 1:03 and the subtitles read "And I swear on my life that I'll stay by your side." And.... started to waste a little more tissue than what I'd like to admit. Funny story, right? Even though this is all a roleplay. All of the antagonists on the SMP (Formerly Dream, George, Sapnap, Punz, currently Schlatt and to a degree Quackity) fall and L'Manberg will be restored to what it was in it's sunniest days. But we have to be honest, the good ol' days when it was just Wilbur, Tommy, Tubbo, Eret and Fundy with no outside allies were glorious
I don’t get how people could be on dreams side! It just feels like you have to be so biased to be on dreams side in the war. They wanted to start their own nation so Dream threatens war, l’manburg tries to talk it out (hence the no armor or weapons in lmanburg rule) yet firmly and assertively standing their ground as the Dream smp continues to blow up their land, get a friends to backstab them, and take everything away for Tommy to give the last thing he has for freedom

But, it can be noted however, that the motivations of dream (or atleast his character) was that no area should be exclusive to anyone. There were walls not just to keep people in, but keep people out. And the character dream didn't want that for the SMP and did everything (as you said) to get his way. It's like his metaphor with the table and house. Wil and tommy came into dreams house claiming his table. But dream wants everyone to have access or use that table. Then again, "independance" rights were given in exchange for the discs and everything was cool after. So not everything is black and white as you'd think it is.

I don't mean to criticize the channel with my comment, I was just expressing the fact that I wished it had been more explicit about the song because it's something so well-done and unique, and it bothered me that so many people seemed to be watching this viewing it as the more official Ode to L'Manburg and had no idea about the original song or it's creator.
So I guess my problem isn't that this channel didn't give enough credit, but that Beetlebug didn't get as much credit (not the citation kind) as deserved from the viewers of the video.

Alright, funny story:
I was watching this video because I just can't get enough of it when my mom called for me. So I paused the video at 1:03 and went downstairs. My mom smiled and reached out her hand, "Happy birthday sweetie." And she pulled me into a hug, wishing me the best for my 16th birthday. She did what she always did for the past 16 years but this year is special, and not because I can't throw a party or whatever, we never had one ever since I was 8.
It was funny because just recently I have been feeling stressed out that maybe I'm not enough, that what I'm doing right now isn't enough to make anybody happy. I was just feeling like shit, and just overthinking things. So to hear my mom as she hugged me, wishing me all the best, hoping that I'll become a better person than I was from yesterday, and asking what I'd like to eat just hits.. different.
To her, it doesn't really matter what I do, as long as I'm doing the right thing and tried my best. She would only ever be disappointed in me if I ever quit before trying because she knows the most compared to any person, how much potential I hold.
It really was nothing special, but when she hugged me I can feel my eyes starting to get hot, I didn't cry in her arms, but my nose definitely got redder. I walked into the bathroom, locked the door, and chuckled as I wiped the tears away. I was being silly. I focused too much on my troubles and completely forgot to feel grateful for what I have. Not everyone can have such a caring mother. So I kept wiping away while laughing softly, washed my face, and left the bathroom.
I sat back here in front of my laptop, where the video is still paused on 1:03 and the subtitles read "And I swear on my life that I'll stay by your side."
And.... started to waste a little more tissue than what I'd like to admit.

It's been a year since this happened and it feels wild, I honestly can't believe it has been a year since it still feels like yesterday.
Well, I'm in my final year of high school, I've been working on changing my mindset to fix up my grades, it's definitely doing better now. My mom also gave me a hug for my birthday this year, and this Friday there'll be a mockup test for offline school and I'm one of the first batches to start studying offline again so wish me luck on that lmao. This community can be both a blessing and a curse but honestly, for the past year, it's been a blessing for me and I hope it continues being that.

But we have to be honest, the good ol' days when it was just Wilbur, Tommy, Tubbo, Eret and Fundy with no outside allies were glorious

I don’t get how people could be on dreams side! It just feels like you have to be so biased to be on dreams side in the war. They wanted to start their own nation so Dream threatens war, l’manburg tries to talk it out (hence the no armor or weapons in lmanburg rule) yet firmly and assertively standing their ground as the Dream smp continues to blow up their land, get a friends to backstab them, and take everything away for Tommy to give the last thing he has for freedom
@@Eontrix that's exactly the bit. Dream was the villain in that arc. But, it can be noted however, that the motivations of dream (or atleast his character) was that no area should be exclusive to anyone. There were walls not just to keep people in, but keep people out. And the character dream didn't want that for the SMP and did everything (as you said) to get his way.
It's like his metaphor with the table and house. Wil and tommy came into dreams house claiming his table. But dream wants everyone to have access or use that table. Then again, "independance" rights were given in exchange for the discs and everything was cool after. So not everything is black and white as you'd think it is.
