Thanks for watching everyone! I wanted to pin a comment here to answer some FAQs. - Yes, Alchemy is technically possible in a very limited capacity. Without being able to level up, I could only make potions using 2 ingredients with the same first property and no other overlapping properties. This is a short list and would have taken much longer to acquire than normal since looking down was fairly difficult. For the sake of what was already an hour long video, it was much quicker to just say that it effectively wasn't possible, although we did discuss this possibility in stream. I never did craft any though, and just opted to sell all ingredients for a tiny amount of extra gold to buy potions with. - I picked an Argonian because I believed that Histskin to face-tank for Faendal would be more impactful in the long run than any of the other racial benefits/perks such as ancestors wrath as a dark elf or (maybe) an easier time at the Thalmor embassy as a high elf. In hindsight, I do not regret that decision in the slightest. - I was a bit unclear on the whole Ralof/Hadvar thing in the video. With Ralof, in the first room you need to either be able to open the door, or loot the body to continue. If you can do neither, he just repeatedly tells you to grab the gear off of the fallen soldier. - I was also unclear on why I couldn't use the quest menu. While you can hit J to open it, and then easily select a quest, you then can no longer reload old saves. There is no keyboard key that switches between the different menu tabs (I tried them all, promise). There is also no key that directly opens the settings tab, so once you leave it to the stats or quest menus, you can never go back and therefore I can't reload if something goes wrong. I unintentionally opened the quest menu a lot in this run and had to plug in the mouse, change tabs, then reload an earlier save from before I accidently opened the quest menu (or used the mouse) every singe time. - I did have a fallback plan to get the Dremora merchant from the Dragonborn DLC. It is entirely possible to navigate that section of apocrypha in order to get the power without moving the camera (although very difficult), but accepting it takes a mouse click on the OK button. There ended up being no part of the game where that one click would have removed the need for a mouse, so I opted not to get it. I could find no other summonable companions that would need the mouse less. - No one has asked this here yet, but the dungeon that contains the Visage of Mzund fell into a similar category. I couldn't find a way through without mouse clicks (or a lot more clipping) and it ended up being unnecessary anyway. - And finally, yes, "Skyrim With Only a Keyboard" would be a more accurate name for this vid, but "Without a Mouse" just sounded better to me. I recognize wording it this way does not rule out the use of my DDR dance pad, but I promise I didn't use it for this one.
You definitely get a pass for needing to use a mouse for that silly dialogue box. I mean, seriously why don't they let you press enter or E to clear it? Ending the run there would have been sad. The fact you "broke the rule" that single time meant we all got to witness this incredible feat

No need to double whammy yourself anyway as playing any game on PC is a disability in and of itself. Lmao give me a controller, I'm playing a game not making a PowerPoint.
@@covenofartistry7283 oh yeah, but I've found that for some games with console and PC versions, with controller support on both, the controller feels awful to use on PC and great to use on console. I'm glad the pc games have controller support, and it's a huge help when needed, but console more consistently gives me a good play experience.
I'm not of the opinion that doing something the game absolutely forces you to do invalidates a challenge run, so long as every other potential option is explored first. Especially given how much work goes into finding those other options everywhere else. Great run!
Alchemy should be possible, though very difficult. The box you can't click Okay on is just telling about newly learned effects of ingredients. You can learn the first effect of an ingredient by eating it. So if you find some ingredients that can be combined using only their first effects without unlocking other effects on them, you should be able to eat them to learn those ingredients, then craft some potions. That would be incredibly limited, but it should be possible.
@Kahadi that is totally correct and we looked into it on stream and found it would be so limited to not be worth the time investment over just buying potions. I ultimately would have to buy one of the two ingredients used in most cases anyway. I couldn't even use blue mountain flower/wheat for a healing potion because they both also have fortify health as a property in addition to restore health.
