Well, this came full circle.. Mimir brings up the events of this game (though subtly, they don’t say any character names) to Kratos and he doesn’t deny that they happened, even saying he’d rather not speak of it. Sooo this game’s story mode is now canon.

Ive played every game with Kratos, OG trilogy, Origins, Ascension even God of War: Betrayal on my first flip phone (which is canon). I bought my first Mortal Kombat game just for Kratos (& Freddy Kreuger)... Only 2 I never played were this and Soul Calibur Playstation Portable where he was a guest. I gotta say I like the variety of weapons from the franchise in this. Barbarian Hammer GoW2, Hercules gauntlets GoW3, Spartan spear & shield GoW: Ghost of Sparta...pretty awesome

In an interview the game developers were asked if it had a story mode. They said that it had a more traditional fighting game arcade mode for each character and that would be their story mode.
For a fight that revolves around an ice cream cone, that was a pretty good cutscene.

AidenStaubGaming Roblox and mobile no, health bars would make too much sense. Instead they made it so you charge up a super meter that eventually lets you do one of your final smashes, this attack being the only way to kill your oppoments.
It's not like smash bros where they have different modes (Coin, Stamina, Stock, etc.) This shitty final smash system is the only way you can play the game.

Oi...That version of Dante didn't deserve to be in this. It was the ORIGINAL Dante that made the past two playstations awesome. The new one FAR from earned it.

Its a pretty easy concept, as you fight you build up AP, which is the blue bar below your character's name, there are 3 levels of "supers" that you use to kill the enemy fighters. Each character has 3 unique supers usually level 1 being the weakest and 3 being the strongest, but not always. So in conclusion you fight to earn supers and use supers to get kills, player with the most kills at the end wins.

Lol, I think Kratos talked more in the opening of this vid than he ever talked in the games. He always had 2 or 3 lines at any time, but I only just realized how little he spoke.

I am not buying this game, but I will definitely play it since my friend is purchasing the game. Hell, I have to play this. The beta was actually enjoyable.
You do realize that walkthroughs are also helpful for fighting game players too, right? Suppose if they have trouble beating a mode with a certain character. The walkthroughs are right there to help players with something they probably overlooked. It has nothing to do with not knowing how to play the game.

I don't recall, I main Sweet Tooth and whenever I see a Kratos I just dance 'round in circles. He's practically a punching bag when you've fought him so much because everyone in their f***ing mother uses him.
I love how Kratos just got done wiping out Mortal Kombat Characters yet he has the time to take a detour and beat some other game mascots asses as well.

Whilst the addition of tripping will forever be a confusing decision, Smash has great depth. All the principles of 'traditional' fighters, but factoring in a lot more given the nature of the game.

okay, so i got the game literally an hour ago, and i obviously tried it out and it is actually almost nothing like smash bros. you can interact with the background and have 4 player chaos, but other than that it is pretty much it's own game it plays a lot like mvc and feels like tekken, the characters are all unique in their own way (unlike smash) and the game obviously has a lot of thought put into it. so yeah, NOT A RIP OFF PEOPLE!
Kratos is the GoW...what do you guys expect?
There isn't a lot of characters to choose from. They have Master Chief, a Gears of War character, maybe some Rare characters like Banjo and Joanna Dark, and that's about it.

To everyone replying to me, I can obviously see what goes on in this game enough.
1. Yes, Supers look like the only way to defeat someone.
2. I'm not blaming anyone I just don't like some agreements that are made.
3. I could care less what the items are and what to break. They're there for the fight.
4. You can defeat someone without Supers. So enough with the "Supers is the only way" deal.
5. I'm not raging.
6. Like other fighting games this is the only one that seems to trouble me.
There's walkthrough for all games. Nothing wrong with that.
1: Yeah.
2: Sure, okay.
3: If you don't care, why did you bring it up to begin with?
4: The only other way to KO a foe I've heard of is with the Medusa Head, one of the rarest items in the game, so you can't rely on it showing up. Even falling off of a ledge doesn't affect anyone's score, so from a practical standpoint, only Supers can KO.
5: The way you wrote your previous comment suggests otherwise.

No, that's just Kratos' play style. He's designed to be a combo heavy character.

luigi is a semiclone, toon link, falco, wolf, and ganon aren't
evil cole and regular cole have alot of the same move but cole has some wind attacks, ice attacks, and a different level 2 and 3 super while evil cole has fire moves and vampire-ish moves (for festival of blood dlc) and also has different level 2 and 3 supers just like luigi had a couple of marios moves, but a few different moves and a final smash :)

Ah, you play as Sweet Tooth often, so I see, but in an actual battle, Sweet Tooth is screwed! And I like how you defend Sweet Tooth.
The real question isn't who would win. It's how Sweet Tooth was going to eat that ice cream. His head is on fire so it would melt, where did he even get it, he's wearing a mask, and it doesn't even have sprinkles.
Non-gameplay wise Kratos is the strongest character.

She's not exclusive to the Playstation universe. This game is all about exclusives (hence Playstation All-stars). There might be "visitors," in up-coming dlc, however.

It would be a cool game to emphasize the 3 companies' rivalries, but in reality, they would be teaming up to develop that game. That would be cool seeing Mario vs. Master Chef vs. Kratos, representing their companies! Lol!

You score kills by using your super meter. On paper, this sounds like a terrible idea. But once you start playing it, the idea of insta-kill supers are good. You use your attacks to gain meter. You have 3 different supers.
