I gotta tell ya using the oil based Arm-R-Seal Satin finish gives the best look. Not too dark not too light compared to other Dream Desks videos I've watched lol

Great video, congrats on that awesome desk setup. How well did the monitor bar light bar fit? Sometimes it could be an issue if the back of the monitor is not flat. My 29-inch ultrawide LG is curved a the back. Thanks for any comments on that.

I find these iphone pieces so sick, in my country a iphone like this still costs more than a minimum wage, nice setup!
with your usb port shortage problem. with logitech unify "orange * on the dongle" you can use up to five devices from one dongle.

Hi there, love your setup. I did notice that you are using 2 Logitech unifying receivers. I have similar Logitech products and you can use the unifying software to sync both products to a single receiver... helps you get back another USB port (as ports are always in high demand)! Hope that helps!

@@LeeLechner you'll have to use the software on windows first to sync the Logitech products (mouse and keyboard) then switch it on the Mac. Something I learned the hard way.
@@BorderlessCommerce the unifying software was available for mac last time i tried, though it is an intel based mac mini
@@notafraidoftherobots maybe I'm computer illiterate, lol. I used the m1 Mac. Luckily I had a windows pc to sync. 1 dongle for 2 devices saves space for more USB plug ins.

Sorry for the delay. Great points! For sound, I'm using the Logitech MX Speakers. And for the webcam, I was using just my laptop's webcam when needed but for my new place I finally got an external one from Anker

Sorry for the huge delay. I typically just clean it once every week or two. I don't really have an end-all trick to it. I just dust it using Pledge multi surface cleaner mainly. Don't get me wrong, my desk definitely has times when it gets pretty messy haha

Curious how did the desk hold up when you had the double monitors on there did you notice any bow? and if you did was that a choice to go to the wall mount wide monitor? I Have been looking at finally doing a butcher block build myself for a long long long time, and with the release of new world shortly I think I am going to pull the trigger on it finally. If you had to go back and choose, which wood selection do you think would be the best for longevity? Would you still stick with the butcher block walnut? or would you go with a different wood type? Wanting to limit bow, and at most I will have a 3 monitor mount in the center.
Its a solid wood desk... How will 2 monitors make it bow?
Keep upgrading everything to the latest version and finding a house might become harder and harder XD
One of the things I found with my setup was that it was really important not to be looking in to any [l]ight source. How go you find the the light bars behind your monitor? Are the sides in your line of sight?

Esthetically, it looks awesome.. I was wondering about the seemingly narrow desk, and whether the monitor is too large at your viewing distance. In another video, could you show your ergonomic setup for the desk?
Thanks for the video! I noticed that on "10:45", your monitor lamp touches in the black screen of the monitor. Could this cause any damage? I'm asking that cause I bought a curved monitor and the same is happening.
I have it set to where the contact is only on the plastic of the monitor's body and not the screen itself (there is a tiny amount that extend further than the screen itself)
