It’s not an ICBM carrying platform. It’s an SSGN…cruise missile shooter. I used to track these from a P-3 and specifically tracked the “Kursk”. I love the Oscar II class and this looks amazing.
@@colindenman-jones8729 There was a dry transfer marking set for the Kursk crest and the draft marks that came with the kit. The lateral stripe is white vinyl auto pin stripe. Paints are Floquil grimy black and rustoleum rattle can red primer. Scum line is acrylic olive. Clear coat was microscale micro flat.
I had no idea you were the original builder! Nicely done! She's a great runner now, back in operational condition and ready for patrol with her new owner...

The Oscar class is interesting because it was designed to hunt and destroy American aircraft carriers and their escorts.
Not it was ....it is... many of the Oscar 2 have been modernized and are in service today on combat duty due to strife with USA over the Ukraine.
