    An important labour law for both employers and employees to know is the Minimum Wages Act of 1948. As per this Act, the Central and State Governments establish a minimum wage for payment to all employees. This law is enforced and monitored by the Labour Ministry of the respective states and centres.
    Employees need to be aware of this law to know their rights and not be taken advantage of monetarily. On the other hand, employers need to be aware of this law to make sure they are not disregarding it. Since not following the law can lead to heavy penalties.

    Reality is no employer follow this law. Why don't police arrest these employers. Why Modi never talk about wages, why there is no forced law of minimum wage. That is the only reason there is extreme poverty in India.

    I want to know that about Haryana minimum wages.
    Just let me know whether this should be minimum Basic or we can bifircate this into Basic+HRA since HRA is included in Minimum wages and the entire amount exceeds Minimum wage.

    I have a question if you can ans. I run an IT Service Company HQ in Delhi. The total staff is 11 members. As a normal norm in every IT Company, there is a need for a Quality Analyst (In short, a person to test the software) . Their starting salary in the market is 5 to 10k per month and may be after 2 to 3 years of experience they start earning more than 17k-19k.
    So my question is that
    1. As the entire market is paying them not as per minimum wages law, is that even right?
    2. Or there is a provision that excludes such companies.

    Sir I have one query, by profession I drafted contract to procure manpower and machines wherein we insert rate revision clause that ensure hike on diesel for machines which is due to contractor after 6 months, same in case of manpower but hike is calculated on change of minimum wages of central state whichever is higher. Now when we draft tender inclusive of machine and mapower in single contract. Now in such case what hike shall we consider diesel or minimum wages? Or in some ratio pls help

    Sir , my Form-19 claim has been rejected. Reason mentioned is "MEMBERS WAGES ARE MORE THAN RS15,000 & EPS AMOUNT HAS BEEN DEDUCTED DOJ02/07/2016 & DOL18/01/2017/K". I am not able to understand this. I sent a mail to epfo asking to explain the reason. But no reply. Also currently I am not working. Can you please tell men what they mean by this?

    Sir can you tell us how to file a complaint against the corporate sectors if they're not paying for overtime or if they're holding our salaries or if they're paying our salaries in cash and no documentations are done.
    There are still few places were labours are getting 8-9k per month and they're working 12 hours a day. Can you tell us what can be done against these contractors or factories?

    I hv one question what is the norm for employees tht ager koi employee or worker join krta h koi company to uska monthly salary 30 days pe hoga ya 31 days pe. . Norm kya bolta h pls say. Ager koi employee 30 day work kiya to uska jo v wage rate uske hisab se mil jaega. But ager koi month mai 31 day work kiya toh kya uska salary kam hoga. .if koi emoloyee in hand 10000 or somthing bolta h to kaise uska monthly salary karenge 30 days pe ya 31 days.

    Suggest me how to implement the Award of labour court . I won the case in Hon'ble high court also. Now iam stuck in between the confusion of where to file the case either in labour court under section 33C or can file a criminal case in district SDJM Court for non-compliance of award.
