I'm sure we'll see a square or rectangular Android 10 watch soon. As for a different app, highly unlikely unless somebody builds one and puts it on the Play Store that interfaces properly. There are already alternative launchers, so it's not too much of a stretch for there to be an alternative tethering app as well.

I've got something even more interesting coming up in a few videos, probably before Christmas, detailing several different type of health measurements. The sleep apnea devices are restricted to three apps which have already been reviewed in detail, so nothing new to see there. We've already covered it all.

Yes, more serious waterproofing and better overall charging (including warp charging like on the OnePlus phones) would be a good next step, and better camera modules for the few folks that actually want to use a smartwatch as a camera (after the novelty wears off, of course).

Thanks for all the info. The fact that you can't change the bands on the TICWRIS watches has made my decision for me. I just can't stand the plastic-ish you or whatever material all these smart watch and fitness tracker bands are made of. They don't allow my skin to breath well enough which makes my skin sweat even more under them, and then they stick to my skin and don't wanna move, I hate it. So I always end up buying a fabric stretchy band. Honestly I don't understand why you wouldn't be able to change the bands on them anyway. If the part that attached was made out of a stiff plastic, or even metal, since they are held in place with screws, they would hold in place just like those rubbery ones do, except they would be more comfortable for people like me.

I'm regularly trying to add battery test results to the first comment under the review videos of each of these watches so check there. I've already done a few tests with the Prime 2 and folks are invited to post their test results, too, which helps us get a better all around picture of each watch's endurance.
I'm not a heavy user but during the day I have very limited signal so the watch use a lot of power connecting to the cell and searching for sat so I use to get 1 1/2 day usage out of the prime #1 and now I get 2 days easily from the max s and that includes leaving it on all night.
Suggest popping it into Airplane mode whenever you're not needing any communications with the watch. That and a low brightness screen will probably double your life. Thanks for all your data relative to your tests and experiences. It really helps.

My favorite way is to install Floating Toucher and setting up the volume+ control on the main screen, that way I can touch the dot and bring it up on top of UA-cam and adjust the volume then put it away. You can find Floating Toucher here: tinyurl.com/androidwatches
Prime 2 has the best specs I think however terms of operation, a rectangular watch is still more convenient to use. Anyways, a max s with octa core is the future ☺️
Agreed. By the time the octa core MAX S hits the market, the bar will have been raised again and it won't be enough then, either. Smartwatches will always lag technology behind phones, so jumping in at some point is the only way to enjoy one of these bad boys on your wrist. Each of these are awesome watches compared to what we had available a year ago at this time.

i hear you about the processor, though i'm very dubious about how effective they are in watches, not sure the other dependancies can be tuned sufficiently to take advantage, though it would be nice if these reviews featured a few benchmark scores
I'm not all that impressed with what Android 10 brings to these watches myself. Other than the loss of use of some of my most favorite apps, like "Floating Toucher", I get the ability to turn my screen brown at night and words to describe making the screen square or circle rather than a round icon with a circle or square in it as on all previous versions of Android (and more universal for any language).
Anecdotally speaking, My ticwris max we'll go from full battery to like 80% pretty quickly, but it will hover between 70 and 20% for 3 or 4 days. if I wake up with 54%, I'll go to bed with 38% sometimes. It's pretty impressive
Check with AT&T to make sure your plan has everything set and working, and have them check your APN settings on the watch if necessary. Sometimes its a bit tricky to get it configured properly if it doesn't work out of the box.
Hello, I just received the watch in a good condition, can you help me with one question: How can i copy the data from my computer to the watch because it is not the normal USB cable ?
Transferring files to and from an Android smartwatch is very simple. You attach the 4 pin charging cable to the watch, and plug the other end into your PC or Mac computer. The outer two pins of the wire provide charging power for the watch battery and the inner two pins are used for communication with your computer. The watch should mount on your PC/Mac like an external thumb drive, and you simply drag and drop files and folders to/from the watch the same way you would on a thumb drive. For Mac users, you need to install the app "Android File Transfer", which will automatically run when you plug in your USB cable and connect it to the watch. On the watch you need to set the USB connection for File Transfer. That depends on which watch you are using. Currently Android 10 watches mount automatically so you don't need to do anything (that will change soon through firmware update because it poses a security risk by not requiring you to authorize access). On Android 9, like the APPLLP Pro, you touch the screen after connected and you get a new screen and you touch File Transfer. On Android 7 generally you will get a notification prompt on the screen and, when you access it, you get a dialog to select File Transfer. If that doesn't happen, after you are connected, go to Settings, Connection, USB (may be slightly different wording depending on the watch) and you'll see that screen where you select File Transfer. Disconnecting the wire will close the connection no matter which watch or computer you are using. Remember, you can copy custom watch face folders, app .apk files, music, video, etc., from your computer to the watch, and audio recordings, pictures, video recordings, etc., from your watch to your computer. If you don't want to do all this using the wire, remember you can do it wirelessly using WiFi. My preferred method is the app AirDroid which I have installed on my computers, watches, and phones. The free version allows connection of three devices, which works for me as I'm only doing one transfer at a time. Another method that even works over cellular data is to set up a cloud service, like your Google Drive, to upload files, like photos, videos, etc., to the cloud, then download them to your phone, tablet, PC, NEST screen, whatever. Dropbox works well, too. A little study on your part as to which technique works best for you will be well worth it in the long run as you'll learn to master that technique and it will become second nature to you over time. So have fun exploring!

All is a big unknown, but most apps that work OK on a phone will work on an Android watch. Some that rely on sensors not found on these watches, like a compass, barometer, etc., won't work, but basic stuff like social media apps work fine, even the ones that do video calling.

I guess it depends on how bit you are willing to go. For the things you want to do a square watch is better than round, so the best would be the biggest square, the MAX. Too big? Then probably the MAX S. Still too big? Then the LEM10. There are other models of these three sizes by different names, but these are the general categories I'd suggest looking.

@@SWT Yes indeed. it is very simplistic but I have found that watches are better suited to simplicity due to the small screens. I played with my Max and its full android abilities for a while but 99% of the time I Tony used the basic watch features.

Does the Prime 2 have a lock screen enable able? I'd rather run it mostly as an Android device, not a watch. It looks like we're finally there for all day carry battery and up to date security.
Yep, you can put in a code lock, pattern lock or even a face lock if you want. Just don't forget it or you need to flash the firmware to the watch. There's no back door to get you in.

He also has instructions on how to install them on your watch. Good luck! Once you get your first one installed, you'll know how to do all if them. It's a lot like learning how to ride a bike.

Not gonna find it here. Android 7 and 10 watches don't do Bluetooth calling and are very lean for fitness. Try looking at some of the Bluetooth calling watches listed in the matching Playlist. They don't do texting though because there's no supported keyboard.

still the prime for me, not a camera buff, but as all the pro's will tell you, the best camera you've got is the one you've got with you, and frankly nobody will ever believe you about those aliens, or nessy, (bigfoot if your a yank), using a 2mp shooter
Ah, reading these posts backwards. OK, you know about the rice. You might also want to try warming it a bit, not too much, but a bit to help with evaporation. Definitely don't try turning it on until you know it is bone dry. Taking the back off and using a warm hair dryer is an option as well.

My prime 2 looks fine but I have big wrists. I added the leather man band. Its great! If you do the same over size the band!!!!! Jesus mine came off in the ocean. I did get it back magnet fishing but it was in the water for 30 mins. So get it too fit then add 1 link.
Good to know! I'd be amazed if your Prime 2 survived a half hour underwater. A bag of rice is your best friend to draw water out of a wet watch if it happens again.

Hello, I just received the watch in a good condition, can you help me with one question:
How can i copy the data from my computer to the watch because it is not the normal USB cable ?
Transferring files to and from an Android smartwatch is very simple. You attach the 4 pin charging cable to the watch, and plug the other end into your PC or Mac computer. The outer two pins of the wire provide charging power for the watch battery and the inner two pins are used for communication with your computer. The watch should mount on your PC/Mac like an external thumb drive, and you simply drag and drop files and folders to/from the watch the same way you would on a thumb drive. For Mac users, you need to install the app "Android File Transfer", which will automatically run when you plug in your USB cable and connect it to the watch.
On the watch you need to set the USB connection for File Transfer. That depends on which watch you are using. Currently Android 10 watches mount automatically so you don't need to do anything (that will change soon through firmware update because it poses a security risk by not requiring you to authorize access). On Android 9, like the APPLLP Pro, you touch the screen after connected and you get a new screen and you touch File Transfer. On Android 7 generally you will get a notification prompt on the screen and, when you access it, you get a dialog to select File Transfer. If that doesn't happen, after you are connected, go to Settings, Connection, USB (may be slightly different wording depending on the watch) and you'll see that screen where you select File Transfer.
Disconnecting the wire will close the connection no matter which watch or computer you are using. Remember, you can copy custom watch face folders, app .apk files, music, video, etc., from your computer to the watch, and audio recordings, pictures, video recordings, etc., from your watch to your computer.
If you don't want to do all this using the wire, remember you can do it wirelessly using WiFi. My preferred method is the app AirDroid which I have installed on my computers, watches, and phones. The free version allows connection of three devices, which works for me as I'm only doing one transfer at a time. Another method that even works over cellular data is to set up a cloud service, like your Google Drive, to upload files, like photos, videos, etc., to the cloud, then download them to your phone, tablet, PC, NEST screen, whatever. Dropbox works well, too.
A little study on your part as to which technique works best for you will be well worth it in the long run as you'll learn to master that technique and it will become second nature to you over time. So have fun exploring!

All is a big unknown, but most apps that work OK on a phone will work on an Android watch. Some that rely on sensors not found on these watches, like a compass, barometer, etc., won't work, but basic stuff like social media apps work fine, even the ones that do video calling.

Check with Al Rod. He's got instructions with his watch face section. It's pretty easy and he can guide you through it.

I guess it depends on how bit you are willing to go. For the things you want to do a square watch is better than round, so the best would be the biggest square, the MAX. Too big? Then probably the MAX S. Still too big? Then the LEM10. There are other models of these three sizes by different names, but these are the general categories I'd suggest looking.

I love these big watches but I will wait till they are slimmer and more powerful. I went from the MAX to the RS..
The RS is nice, and I plan to do a review as soon as mine comes in, but it is, of course, not able to load and run Android apps, so it fits a different niche.
@@SWT Yes indeed. it is very simplistic but I have found that watches are better suited to simplicity due to the small screens. I played with my Max and its full android abilities for a while but 99% of the time I Tony used the basic watch features.

Yea, when you click on a link and put the watch in your cart, you'll see a place for coupons before you check out. The price should reduce appropriately before you need to submit your credit card to buy.

I try and put battery test results in the first comment under the actual video review videos. My guess is the MAX will last longest, but it all depends on the load you put on a watch.
Does the Prime 2 have a lock screen enable able? I'd rather run it mostly as an Android device, not a watch. It looks like we're finally there for all day carry battery and up to date security.
Yep, you can put in a code lock, pattern lock or even a face lock if you want. Just don't forget it or you need to flash the firmware to the watch. There's no back door to get you in.

Follow the link in the show notes over to Al Rod's area and roam around there. He has a free section and a paid section that you can download from. He also has instructions on how to install them on your watch. Good luck! Once you get your first one installed, you'll know how to do all if them. It's a lot like learning how to ride a bike.

No, sorry, the OS level can't be updated in these watches. We'll need to wait for the companies to release Android 10 models.

I've done some limited testing, but don't have a definitive answer on that one. My guess would be the Max trumps the Max S for its larger battery.

For me the MAX S is most practical and easy to use size. The Prime 2 has best camera if the watch is for taking pictures.

Because the walls are all flat. Besides that, the basic software comes from only one company and they are keepers of the wallpaper.

Not gonna find it here. Android 7 and 10 watches don't do Bluetooth calling and are very lean for fitness. Try looking at some of the Bluetooth calling watches listed in the matching Playlist. They don't do texting though because there's no supported keyboard.

Ah, reading these posts backwards. OK, you know about the rice. You might also want to try warming it a bit, not too much, but a bit to help with evaporation. Definitely don't try turning it on until you know it is bone dry. Taking the back off and using a warm hair dryer is an option as well.

My prime 2 looks fine but I have big wrists. I added the leather man band. Its great! If you do the same over size the band!!!!! Jesus mine came off in the ocean. I did get it back magnet fishing but it was in the water for 30 mins. So get it too fit then add 1 link.
Good to know! I'd be amazed if your Prime 2 survived a half hour underwater. A bag of rice is your best friend to draw water out of a wet watch if it happens again.
