I do delivery driving in Johnson City every day approximately 150 miles per day and grew up here so I am familiar with every building on every street in this video yet I still watch it from beginning to end….I Love Johnson City TN
Regular routes of my usual travels. I love it here BTW. The people are unexpectedly kind and polite. I'm fully and freely assimilating to the culture here. I grew to hate Connectishit and I left it all behind me. I won't spread any of their blue paint on my new region. I like it too much here to change anything about it. I did think I'd find better BBQ though. Too many places advertising fall off the bone ribs and pulled pork, but serve tough meat instead.
I will be moving to JC this coming Spring/summer. And no, I am not from California. I am from the North Texas/ Southern Oklahoma area. Currently living in Hilham Tennessee. Moving to JC not only for the beautiful area but as a retired military guy, the VA is one of the best VA hospitals in the nation there in JC.
Remember the tunnel going into campus before State of Franklin road even existed and before there was a mini dome? Also my dad and I used to fly model airplanes in the field where the mall is now!!
@@dukeduke11 I’m originally from California and wanted to raise my kids in a place where we actually have some freedom. I don’t like to paint people with a broad brush - there are good and bad people from all over the US 🤷🏼♂️
@@drivingtennessee4926 I am doing it and I will be damned if someone like this negative ned tries to call me out. All I can say is "try to live out here in L.A. as time goes by". I missed the best of living on the West Coast, but will not suck it up for anyone. Going to pull into your lovely state, assimilate my self, put my shoulder to wheel and plow. We are like old friends who have yet to meet. I can feel the comradery and look forward to the address change.

The city that I was born and lived in for fifty years!
It’s a great place to grow up!
Would love to live in the area..
That was fun...😁👍👍❤❤❤
Thanks for watching 👍🏻👍🏻
Except for the drive past the university and along the old CRR rail bed, things looked a lot the same as they did 60 years ago.

Where is East tennessee State University situated?
I passed by the university right at the beginning of the video - it's right outside of downtown JC
What is the crime rate status in Johnson City
You’d have to google that info - but it’s fairly safe out here. I live more out in the country and it’s very quiet.
It’s sort of demoralizing seeing the California virus has made it all the way to Johnson City TN, 😢
How do you mean?
@@drivingtennessee4926 Sad seeing Californians moving into all these nice states

@@drivingtennessee4926 that’s good to hear. I’m glad and I hope most of those fleeing poorly ran states don’t ruin the states they are fleeing to
